Hot water in the bathroom! It's a bit far from the more interesting restaurants/sites in Iquitos.

I love Hotel Daylu! After our 2 day get away in the Amazon, it was so refreshing to have a nice bed to sleep in WITH AC! It was a cute hotel, close to some shops and small businesses. The staff was very sweet to me and my girlfriend. Check in was easy as pie- we just walked in, filled out one form, and off to the room for a siesta! Yes, it’s loud, but that is a symptom of Iquitos, not of Hotel Daylu.

It's very cozy and a period hotel. Cute, this is at the beginning of the Belén neighborhood in Malecón de Iquitos.

Gilbert, the owner, was extremely helpful and responsive at all times. This is the main reason I would recommend this Airbnb. I booked for 6 people and understood it as being a single home with three rooms. However, it is a communal style accommodation, with a shared kitchen and rooms available on the bottom floor and the top (2nd) floor. Two out of three bottom floor rooms had their own a/c and private bathroom in the room, with one room having a big fan that moves a lot of air and a bathroom close by in the hall. Overall, this place was perfect for our group, and Gilbert was extremely responsive and accommodating with any issue that came up. Rooms were comfy. We all felt safe. The only things I would have liked to be different is that our shower was not hot (typical for most places in Peru) and it is not walking distance to the main part of town with the good restaurants and shopping places - although the mototaxis will get you there quickly and are must do's for everyone.
