Very nice family! The room is clean and tidy, with air conditioning and washing machine. Breakfast is delicious, everything is very good. The owner is very warm and kind. My wife was sick and he drove us to see a doctor. He also helped us find a tuk tuk and negotiate the price when we left. I'm very happy to stay here and feel at home! Thank you!

Ideal for 2: a room with hammocks and a river view

This place is a little oasis outside of the busy city of Iquitos. I was there during the wet season so this place was surrounded by river which I would look at for hours while sitting in one of the hammocks and went swimming in it. Teo (the sweet boy who helps run the place) took me to experience Carnival with all the locals and it was so fun, really just felt like part of the family. Only things to keep in mind, there is no mosquito net over the bed and the distant neighbors play loud music sometimes. But I would 100% stay here again.

It was very welcoming and just a breath of fresh air to be at. I felt loved like they were the ideal family. I missed my flight and came back to open arms and a guide to getting a new flight for the next day. they're amazing hosts with a lot of love and knowledge

This was a bucket list stay in the Amazon! Incredible place to relax with no signal or wifi and just enjoy your surroundings! The rooms were perfect and incredibly clean. Caesar and his family were the best hosts! We got to see river dolphins in the morning and beautiful birds all day. Lots of excursions available with the best hosts! I would recommend this place over and over for anyone willing to have an incredible experience! Seriously bucket list place to stay!

Claire was super helpful no matter which situation. Before even arriving there she gave me more than clear instructions how to get there and what I'm expected to pay for public transport and alternatives since you have to cross the river to get there. When I finally did arrive she was very friendly and welcoming so I felt like home straight away. She would always ask if you need anything and she even cooked for me which I found very pleasant. All in all Claire felt like a Mom to me and she definetly has a heart of gold. Her property is as beautiful as the pictures show and all basic amenities are on site. If you ever feel you need a place away from all trouble of your daily life in beautiful nature with all basic needs then Claire's place is definetly the place to be. I stayed 1 week and enjoyed every single day. I feel recharged and I have a lot more clarity which I give credit to Claire as well.

Absolutely excellent experience. Ricardo and Isabel were the best hosts I could have hoped for. The room is perfect and comes with air conditioning and its own bathroom. The house is conveniently located four blocks from the main square. The place is safe and there's not much noise. Ricardo and Isabel can give you good recommendations and made me feel like part of the family. I would come back as soon as possible, I recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Iquitos!

I had a very comfortable stay at the welcoming guesthouse! The hosts are incredibly friendly and served me tea and we had a lovely chat. The room itself is spacious, including the bathroom, and the bed is comfortable. Good for an overnight near the airport. The water in the shower is cold, which is fine because it’s the tropics! There is a nice pool and living space that I didn’t have a chance to use during my stay. Wilson even gave me a ride to the airport. Thanks so much and see you next time!

Wilson and his WiFi where great hosts. He helped us with any questions. Rooms a basic but good, the location is about 10 min (4-5 sol) drive to the city center. We can recommend this place.

The Poseidon House is a clean and quiet place. The hosts are generous and helpful, great people to guide you in how to navigate Iquitos. I had a quick night in Iquitos before going to a medicine retreat and found it to be perfect. 11 out of 10 stars and will stay here any time I come.
