Family-friendly vacation rentals in Indiana

We’d had a last-minute cancellation at another Airbnb in Kentucky due to flooding in that area. We immediately looked for a new place that we could escape to for some nature & unplugged time, and stumbled upon Garrett & Ewan’s listing—luckily a short drive for us. It is a gem of a find! Cozy home in a private setting with trails and on the water—hot tub was a bonus! We loved sitting around the fire pit, too. The loft was perfect for our teenagers. The rockers on the porch were our go-to in the morning for coffee. We commented several times on how it would be even better to stay in the summer—lots to do outdoors for all. The beds were a bit firm but that is just a personal preference. The house was clean & comfortable—definitely made for a great escape from the busyness of life. Garrett & Ewa were incredibly responsive and quick to answer any questions we had. We were grateful they accepted a last minute booking! It was just the type of R&R our family needed.☺️

The Boulders Lodge worked out perfectly for our mountain biking trip to Brown County. The lodge had ample space for 7 of us. The two kitchens had everything, the beds and bedrooms give everyone the space they needed. The drive to Brown County State park was 15 minutes.

This was my second time staying and i got to say it still blew me away. The cabin itself is very well maintained and very beautiful its so quite and peaceful there. What i really love about the cabin is its around alot beautiful parks and caves such as clifty falls, squire boon, indiana caverns, obannon state park, and mammoth cave well its a couple hours from mammoth cave, but when you come all the way from elkhart indiana its really not that bad lol. Anyways i really dont have anything negative to say its a beautiful place to bring your family and i would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to vacation in southern indiana.

This was our second time staying here. I don’t want to leave a good review so it’s not always booked up lol! Karen is very easy to get in touch with. The cabin is private, clean, and unmatched scenery. We will, of course, be going back!

everything about this cabin was spectacular and as expected.

Stone Creek cabin is as the photos appear. The original design inside and out is beautiful. The interior is like a southwestern work of art, full of interesting details in the woodwork, tile and rock decor. It seemed to me to have been someone’s labor of love with attention to every detail. April continues to do the same, providing everything possible to welcome her guests, extra snacks and drinks, etc. There were plenty of supplies, linens. The master bed on the main floor was very comfortable. Every room was tastefully decorated and all rooms were perfectly neat and clean. ( Compliments to the cleaning staff since we followed a 13 guest bachelor's party. ) April is very kind and easy to work with regarding arrangements. I always felt I could contact her if we ran into a problem. We saw deer and a turtle outside the cabin. Not so much as a gnat inside the cabin. We would certainly recommend this property to anyone.

We loved how quiet and peaceful it was. The bed and pillows were so comfy so we slept great! We had everything we needed and more.

My daughters and I celebrated Easter at Kim’s cottage It’s clean, beautifully furnished and she is extremely responsive (I mentioned I forgot OJ on the phone and she was in the area and she left two OJs at the door) The cottage is cozy and fun We grilled, dyed eggs, watched movies, played a board game and loved the hot tub It’s clean clean !!! Just book it It’s a jewel box

Location was perfect for us and was close to lots of restaurants. Neighborhood is quiet and parking was easy. It is street parking, but there was a spot directly in front of our door every time we parked. The house is older, but with character and was much larger than I expected. We had zero issues the 4 days we were there. Really loved the sunroom. My only note is every window covering is sheer, even the bedrooms. So if you prefer more privacy or like to sleep in late you may have to throw a blanket up.

Great and comfortable place to stay. Friend and I rented to work from home away from home, and was a good spot. Stable WiFi, walking distance to coffee, and cozy place to stay. Had all the amenities we needed. Even could bring my cat along!

Fifth (at least?) time staying at Amy's. I look forward to two more years of having an IU student to be able to stay right at home at Amy's.

Great location that’s close to campus! Our family and pups loved the house. A little snafu with the lock on the front door checking in but overall a great stay! Highly recommend.

The place and area were as described in the listing and looked like pictures. The neighborhood was walkable and felt safe, mostly small family homes and we had our dogs so walked every day. It was close to campus and we were visiting our son for the weekend and everything was within 5-10 minutes. We enjoyed the weekend and would stay there again.

Comfy, cozy, and clean! Sue’s place felt like home and such a plus that it’s dog and baby friendly! We would love to stay here again if we’re in the area

I’m always grateful for a chance to return to this place. The house is extremely comfortable and well set up for a short or long stay. I travel with my dog and it is perfect with the big fenced in backyard. The neighborhood is beautiful for walking and all the tulips were in bloom. Deena has thought of everything and it is one of my favorite stays.

Barb’s tiny house is a great location in Bloomington - close to everything we wanted - campus, restaurants, and the farmers market.

Lisa and Bobby were excellent hosts. They helped me feel at home, provided great recommendations and offered to personally show me around my new state. The check in was simple, rooms clean, and amenities well stocked. I appreciate the time and care they took to make the transition easier for me. Thank you!

We had such a blast here! We lucked out and got an amazingly warm and sunny April weekend and we just hung on the beach during the day and played in the pool at night! beds were cozy, area was super quiet. Really loved our stay

We enjoyed our stay with our son and his family. The house, yard and pool were perfect for our grandson and their two dogs. The neighborhood was very quiet and walkable. Our only possible concern was the lack of communication about the lawn being mowed and the pool being serviced on the Friday of our stay. It would have been nice to know so we could have had the dogs inside before people came into the yard.

Tom and Charyl were amazing hosts ! We had open communication throughout our stay and even got a tour upon our arrival. The airbnb was everything as described and more ! The pool was incredible and the airbnb was only a 5 minute drive to the nearest beach. They even had a binder of recommendations available to us of local attractions/things to do. Our expectations were exceeded for this trip, and we can’t wait to come back !

Such a nice little place, it was very private and very peaceful, hot tub was great!! The neighborhood cats were a pleasant surprise :) We’ll definitely be back!

I can't thank Melissa enough! The place is beautiful, spotless and had everything I needed for my stay. Melissa is a wonderful hostess... thoughtful, super helpful with recommendations, quick to respond and answer all my questions. The place far exceeded my expectations! Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Charming house in a charming neighborhood. Plenty of space for our party of 4. Swim spa was a relaxing addition to the home

There were small things like WiFi not working well and a problem with the shower so we called and within the hour they were over to fix all problems for us and even comped us our first nights stay for the inconvenience, I would 100% reccomend them
