Barn vacation rentals in Indiana

We rented Deer Creek Farmhouse & The Pond House for my son's wedding in Green Castle mid Nov. This property is so gorgeous and peaceful. Just what we were looking for. We were blessed with sunshine & some warmer weather for our stay which made it more enjoyable in November. After the wedding rehearsal & dinner in town Friday evening, our immediate family that was staying with us, enjoyed a nice fire at the fire pit. Smores of course & lots of laughs. Saturday, was the wedding, so we were gone most of the time. But it was so nice to get dressed and ready there, instead of a hotel room. Sunday, a few were able to enjoy some fishing at the pond and the zip line. What a fun time had by everyone! This was my first experience with an Airbnb. Michelle was so wonderful from the beginning of planning this trip. I highly suggest their wonderful place!

The property description is accurate, accessible to the city as well as nearby shops and restaurants. Quiet country feel. Efficient one bedroom apartment. Safe neighborhood with easy parking.

Dave and Wendy were amazing hosts for our church annual men's retreat. They were easy to communicate with and very accommodating to our needs. The property was perfect for our group and had everything we needed for a successful retreat. We can't wait to come back next year and would highly recommend staying with them. Everything was great and we had an excellent experience.

Johanna was very nice and checked on me throughout the stay to make sure everything was going well. The loft was very comfortable and a great place to relax. Also, their dog Mikey greeted me with a smile every time he saw me!

My husband and I spent the weekend at Sherry’s place for our 30th wedding anniversary. The farm, the lodge and our room was all very peaceful and cozy. We met Cindy upon our arrival and she welcomed us to the farm, showed us around and answered any questions we had. Her enthusiasm for the farm and all it had to offer showed. Everything we needed was there PLUS all kinds of extras. I was wowed by the attention to detail in all the little extras. We had coffees and snacks in the room and there were even Samores kits put together in the kitchen area for guests. There was wood by the fire pits, lighters, fire starter fluid and even cardboard ready to start a fire. Shampoo, conditioner and body soap dispenser was also in the shower in our room. Both Sherry and Cindy checked on us during our stay through texts. All of this AND we were literally minutes away from French Lick Casino and all the town has to offer. We definitely recommend and would stay here again.

I had an amazing stay! The hosts put so much thought into making guests feel welcome, from the book of local things to do to the introduction to their animals. Meeting Barb (Barbara) the dog was a highlight—she made sure to say good morning every day! The bedroom was cozy and comfortable, and while I would have loved to use the upstairs barn if the weather had been warmer, it didn’t take away from the experience. This is the perfect spot for a weekend getaway, so close to Turkey Run National Park and surrounded by great places to thrift and enjoy local food. I’ll definitely be back in the fall or spring!

Such a lovely place! Well maintained trails to explore. The instructions to get in and out were super clear + easy to follow. Although they live right next door, we truly felt like we had the place to ourselves. Everything you could need was provided. Close to town, but feels like a country getaway! Hope to return again and again while visiting family in the area.

This property is the perfect get away from the hustle & bustle of everyday life. Plentiful wildlife to sit out on the porches to watch or, as we did, walking around the property. We had the 2 bedroom unit and it was immaculate in cleanliness and comfortably furnished. It was in the 90s on the days we stayed, the air conditioning was perfect. Sandy, the caretaker, left us her number and checked that we didn't need anything whenever she saw us. We definitely will be back!

Staying with Joe at the cabin is a family tradition - part of what makes it so wonderful is Joe’s hospitality. He thinks of every last detail to make the visit feel so special. I absolutely wouldn’t change a thing, and plan to rebook as often as possible! Thank you to you and yours for another wonderful holiday! Have a wonderful year!

Appreciated and enjoyed our stay, appreciated the extras you left for us, the eggs in the fridge and coffee options were a nice touch. So nicely decorated, plenty of towels and wash cloths. Appreciated everything!

Loved the stay. Definitely worth it

This home was absolutely stunning. I knew it would be beautiful from the pictures but it was even more incredible in person. Unbelievable quality and thoughtful, homey details throughout the entire space. Very spacious and comfortable. Could have easily stayed there a week! The owners were wonderful, from checking in with me as soon as I checked in to quick communications throughout and even a homemade lemon cake upon arrival! For those visiting Indiana University, it’s an easy 10 minute drive. I’ve been using Airbnb for years and have stayed all over the United States, Paris, London, Costa Rica, etc. - and this is hands down one of my favorites. I plan to stay there again. 10/10 on all levels!

My family had an amazing time at the farm stay. I don’t even know where to start-friendly animals, friendly staff, lots of things for my kids to explore-they had a blast. We loved hiking the trails and finding hidden spots. Make sure to bring bug spray and check for ticks afterwards. Max the cat following us on every walk was so sweet. We love Timothy the cat as well, he loved spending time in the house with us. Bailey was the sweetest doggy. I’m trying to think of any cons, but we don’t really have any! The inside of the house could use some dusting, but it’s also a farm house, we didn’t expect it to be spotless. If you’re not a fan of animals, especially cats, might not be for you, but it was definitely our vibe!

This was an incredible experience for my family! The beautiful lawn and pond provided a serene backdrop that truly helped us unwind. The property’s location was perfect, offering a peaceful and safe environment while still being conveniently close to dune parks, grocery stores, etc. The farm setting was a hit with the kids. They loved interacting with the chickens and peacocks. The gardens were a great feature, with plenty of berries, peppers and beans for the kids to harvest. The owner’s thoughtful welcome gift of eggs was a delightful touch—these eggs were absolutely delicious, better than any organic ones we’ve had from stores! BTW, the kitchen was well-stocked. The swing set was another fantastic addition that kept the kids entertained for hours. Lastly, the on-site gym was impressive with its wide range of equipment, ensuring that everyone could stick to their exercise routines. All in all, this property provided everything we needed for a memorable and enjoyable stay.

Our group stayed here for a weekend - we all had a great time. Our group of 10 adults and two kids slept comfortably with room to spare. Really a lot to do on the property, from hanging out in the barn (skeeball, air hockey table), to chilling in the hot tub, to just walking around the property. Living room has a projector screen for tv, great place to gather. Check in and check out went off without a hitch. Would definitely recommend for groups looking for a place to stay together in.

This place is amazing! It is EXACTLY as pictured and described with lots of room for everyone. It was very clean and spotless. All the necessary supplies were available. The setting is very peaceful and quiet with wonderful views of the countryside and the horses. Highly recommend the Stable Tour! The 4 Car Garage was absolutely wonderful as the weather was very rainy/snowy during our stay. We will be back. .
