Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Indiana County

If you are looking for a peaceful, scenic, private place this is for you. We stayed 5 nights under the star filled sky amongst the horses and trees. Walks in the evening with a cocktail was relaxing as we strolled along the creek. There is a little swing overlooking the creek and an additional fire fit along the water. It was perfect! Shirley and Frank were extremely responsive. There was fire wood to purchase right on site for the lovely in ground fire pit. They had all the “goods” for s’mores. We had fresh towels and linens. My husband and I are very particular about our beds. The mattress was very comfortable and we had plenty pillows. It was cold at night but the RV had a heater and AC for the daytime. One can tell they work hard to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Mahalo Shirley and Frank

Well, I came back, after a weekend away at State College. It was like we never left, and were simply returning back, to our pristine home. Waiting for us were two over-sized cookies, from 9th St. Deli. Ummm, yum!!! Thanks, Dana!! Three stories of perfectness. This time, I took the bedroom on the top floor alcove. So cozy. Gave my girl, the entire second floor. So she had her makeup room/office, a dressing room, and a bedroom. Luckily, I was allowed to visit lol. We even extended our stay. 8th Street is simply, one of those places you never want to leave. Rain, snow, wind, or sun, everyday feels perfect there. I feel like I should tone it down, to maintain its availability, but everyone needs to know, how great this place is. Exceptional host, hosting an exceptional place. Trust me!!!

Timothy and Lana have a charming farm and were friendly and helpful. My daughter loved getting a chance to help on the farm and be at one with nature. It was the perfect peaceful getaway as needed.

Susan's cottage was a pleasant stay. She was very communicative and quick to respond. The cottage is as pictured and was perfect for my family. There were a few books and games for the children, and no small breakables (decor, vases, etc.) which are hazardous around children. The kitchen-ware was well stocked. Plenty of towels, wash clothes, and blankets. The rooms were very comfy. All items were in working order. This is a great place to stay and we recommend it to others.

Moire and Randy went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We loved the farm and their storytelling. We will definitely come back with our son and his family in spring. Highly recommended!

Tracey was an awesome host! Super responsive and helpful. She also provided fishing rods and directions to the lake nearby. The place itself is nice and private. Only a 15 min drive to Johnstown. I will say the reception in the area is a little spotty so I’d recommend downloading offline maps before you get there. Overall, i highly recommend staying here and will definitely stay again next time I’m in the area!

Great place great stay! Just know when u rent understand where the house is. We come from woods and loved the location but others may not. Every place is a drive unless u like fishing small creeks, like we do! 😁 great hosts great communication! We will be back as we found a few more holes we would have liked to fish but ran out of time. Thanks again! P.s. driving in late one night we caught a glimpse of what my wife thought was a fisher cat, I thought it was a bobcat, but she told me it was too dark in color!!!😁

We had a wonderful stay, its very private, great for a getaway. It is hard to find, but Christine gave us excellent directions and even kept us updated on conditions as roads were icy/snowy. She was very responsive and helpful. Her place is beautiful!
