Vacation rentals in Independence

Jon and Ashlee are great hosts and have a wonderful home to share. The location is awesome. It was beautiful to wake up next to the lake then enjoy the morning sun on the deck. The dock is great for fishing. Nice local eateries.

It was one of the best family get togethers that we have had and this place had pretty much all we needed to make our stay comfortable and memorable. The space was enough to easily house three families, each with 3 kids. We had 9 kids in the age range of 13 to 22 and all had enough stuff at home to keep them busy and enjoy their time. We all enjoyed playing ping-pong, air hockey, (mini)basketball and the board games. On one of the (cold) nights we also did bonfire and made s'mores. All the bathrooms were stuffed with enough toiletries; the bedrooms had enough linens and pillows; kitchen had most of the stuff that we needed. The fridge is decent size and each floor has cabinet fridges as well. We didn't really need to bother Sam during our stay. Just had a couple of questions and he was very responsive. This is a great place for family get togethers and reconnecting and we'd definitely love to go there again. In summer, it'd be even more fun since one can have fun with the canoes.

It’s a wonderful home that is comfortable, clean and welcoming. The photos do not lie! It was a great getaway for a week. Emily was warm and friendly, responded quickly and was focused on making sure that I was comfortable. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

I’ve stayed at Val’s years ago, going back again, it was even better than I remembered. Everything is done with excellence. My kids and I felt right at home. The kids loved having their own space in the loft, playing in the grass outside, and the horses and other animals on the farm. We also enjoyed a lovely trail ride. The cabin was private, it was quiet, comfortable, and a very relaxing stay. Super comfy beds. The location is convenient for both Monkey Island and Grove. I look forward to coming back again in the future.

Booked a 5 day trip by myself, and the 2nd day i ended up in the hospital with kidney stones. Eric and his property manager Della, went above and beyond communicating with me and checking on me. Della and her husband even came to the hospital and helped drive me and my truck back to the house! I cannot thank them enough for everything they did. These are some very good honest caring folks! The house was everything they described and very roomy, unfortunately i had to cut my trip short and didn’t get to enjoy it as much as i would have liked. Eric was very generous and helped me out with a partial refund. If i get the opportunity to make the trip back up to Kansas, i will be coming here! Thank you Eric and Della so much for everything! Beautiful place to stay. So peaceful and cozy. I would 100% go back and stay again. Lots of things to do at the Airbnb and so much space.
