Nishimura-Tei Hanare ― 100-year-old traditional house with kitchen & dining

Nishimura Residence is an old-fashioned Nara-machiya that has been standing on a piece of Nara-machi for more than 100 years. I was a “grandmother” for a long time when I was a child. In Nara Town, there is a pleasant despicable feeling that never changes. "I want to be filled with this pleasant contempt even for future generations." With that in mind, I took care of the empty Nishimura Residence. - Nishimura-Tei is originally a traditional Japanese house which has been here in Nara-machi town over 100 years, where my grandmother used to live in. My mother and I decided to renovate this house to preserve and pass down the virtue of good old days in Japan to the next generation as well as to show it to you.

Even if you don't have a bicycle, why not try cycling the Katsuragawa Cycling Road (Kyoto Hachimangu-Kizu Cycling Road), a 45 km route that ends at the Arashiyama Togetsu-kyo Bridge in Kyoto? We have started renting bicycles and tandem bicycles (2-seaters). How about cycling together as a couple? It is also close to Sakadokoro Fushimi, Uji no Heidain, Inari Taisha Shrine, Yasaka no Iwashimizu Yasaka Shrine, 30 minutes to Nara, and is perfect for sightseeing in southern Kyoto. We restored Machiya while keeping the original structure in order to provide you with a traditional Japanese experience with local atmosphere.This house is for only private use and has only one floor with Japanese style room, shower room, washroom, sink and small garden.
