Let's stay at Matcha Field

SirinRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This place is exceptional. The host is superb. Her recommendation about matcha and tea and everything is great. She is super friendly and very nice. The place is super warm and cozy place. The dimmer light in the room is a plus. The parking lot is spacious in front of the house. Breakfast in japanese style is perfect. It makes my day. The hammock outdoor is great also. Really recommend this place!!!

Tea farm B&B (farm-to-table meals & tour included)

My wife and I experienced Japanese matcha culture during this study trip, while staying at a very authentic Japanese guesthouse. The guesthouse not only retained traditional architectural styles but was also fully equipped with modern amenities. It allowed us to enjoy comfortable accommodation while feeling at one with nature. Daiki also prepared incredibly delicious Japanese meals for us. We look forward to staying here again on our next visit.

Experience the Beauty of Japan &Essence of Matcha

DanielRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
A beautiful place that’s really right in the middle of the tea fields in Wazuka! Mao and Tomo and great hosts, but far more than hosts. We were family while we were here. Mao is an enthusiastic force and has unlimited energy. More than that - I had an injury while I was here (not on premises) that I needed to go to a hospital for, and Mao instantly responded to drive us to the right hospital all the way in Nara, waiting while they operated and making sure I was ok. She went above and beyond and moved way past the role of host to make sure I was ok. She cooked for us and drove us all around to show us the sights of the surrounding areas. We had a great week here and really felt the beauty and peace of Wazuka. Despite the injury we were able to have an amazing time here thanks to the compassion and care of the hosts.

Yuka's home was the perfect place for our family as we explored the Kyoto area! The location is perfect; easy walking to the train station, a grocery store, fantastic restaurants, beautiful parks and all the Uji attractions. The house itself is so cozy and extremely family-friendly. We traveled with an 8-month-old, and Yuka had thought of so many details to make traveling with a little one easier: a high chair in the kitchen, lots of great toys and books, etc. The kitchen is well-stocked, and we cooked many meals there! The wifi is great, lots of space for working, eating and relaxing. The bathroom is clean and nice. Yuka is really communicative and had great recommendations! We felt right at home here and were sad to leave! We would definitely recommend staying here, with kids or without! It's a perfect home base for exploring Uji, Kyoto, Nara and beyond!

An authentic Japanese house (Home-stay)Room#SABI

Chieri was such a welcoming and friendly host :) We were happy we got to experience a traditional Japanese house. We had a walk with Chieri and Wabi around the house and the river bank is very pretty. There are a few stores around where you can buy organic food and groceries. The house was beautiful and had authentic features. Chieri and her mother Kaori also made us probably the most beautiful (and tasty!) Japanese breakfast. The stay was a memorable experience for us both and we would happily come back on our next visit to Japan!

What a beautiful traditional Japanese home to stay We totally loved the old house, beautiful decorations, the inner courtyard and our room. Everything was perfect! Chieri is a great host, we felt very welcomed and home right away. We were on a road trip, so we also enjoyed that we could wash our clothes. And we tried out the traditional japanese bath. Perfect! Chieri, thank you for everything! Hope to see you someday again!

Keihan Uji Station 3 minutes/Luxury River View/Projector

This was one of the best Airbnb places we've stayed. Our host was proactive, responsive, and very helpful. The space is very tastefully furnished, beautiful, and peaceful with a fantastic view of the river. It's within minutes walk to Byodoin Temple, grocery stores, and many restaurants. We really appreciated the Aesop shampoo and body wash. We highly recommend Uji Riverside Villa, and would love to stay here again the next time we're in Kyoto. Thank you so much for hosting us.

A thousand thanks to Luffy for the stay and being such a friendly person, having at the entrance as soon as we get music from our favorite animes was an incredible point. In addition to being next to all the places in Hibike euphonium it was something I would definitely repeat again.
