Beachfront vacation rentals in Hydra

Charming apartment making up the ground floor of Petros's place. The garden is stunning, with views across the town to the sea. Olive and citrus trees give dappled shade and there is an awning for when more shade is needed. Petros lives upstairs so is on hand and is extremely helpful. He not only picked us up at the port and gave us a lift back but also offered to take us to the supermarket and even to the Temple of Aphaia when he was going. The apartment is a 5-10 minute walk uphill from Marathonas A beach. A few minutes more brings you to the stretch of restaurants between the two beaches and a few minutes more the lovely Marathonas B beach. The walk has beautiful views across the bay to Moni and Perdika with the Peloponnese in the background. There is a well stocked supermarket near the A beach. There are buses to Aegina town and Perdika but only 2-3 per day. We walked to Aegina in about an hour and got a cab back for 8 euros. A fabulous, peaceful stay with a very helpful host.

Εξαιρετική επιλογή για διαμονή στον Πόρο. Το κατάλυμα ήταν σε ιδανική , ήσυχη τοποθεσία ,πεντακάθαρο και ήταν ακριβώς όπως στην περιγραφή της καταχώρησης. Ο Νικόλας και η μητέρα του ήταν απολύτως επικοινωνιακοί και πρόθυμοι να συνδράμουν σε οτιδήποτε χρειαστήκαμε με συμβουλές και κατατοπιστικές πληροφορίες. Με την άφιξή μας είχαν προνοήσει για κρύα εμφιαλωμένα νερά και παγάκια στο ψυγείο ,καθώς και μια ποιοτική σπιτική λεμονάδα για να φρεσκαριστούμε. Επίσης μας έδωσαν την ευκαιρία της ευέλικτης αναχώρησης και γενικά ήταν από τους οικοδεσπότες που τιμούνε τη φιλοξενία και σε κάνουν να αισθάνεσαι σαν να βρίσκεσαι σε οικείο χώρο. Η οργανωμένη παραλία ήταν στα 50 μέτρα απόσταση και δίπλα υπάρχει σούπερ μάρκετ και φούρνος για τις αγορές τελευταίας στιγμής. Στα υπέρ του χώρου το ιδιωτικό ασφαλές πάρκινγκ και η απίστευτη θέα από τις δύο βεράντες. Γενικά θα πρότεινα στους δυνητικά υποψήφιους μελλοντικούς ενοικιαστές να μην χάνουν το χρόνο τους αναζητώντας που θα μείνουν στο νησί......

Thanos was very responsive and made the apartment available early as we came on an earlier ferry. The location is as good as it gets. Down the stairs and you were in the hub of the village. At night the area was pretty quiet, so easy to sleep. Views were stunning —-you could spend hours watching the coming and goings in the port. Would definitely stay here again. The only possible downside is that there are quite a lot of stairs to the apartment (around 50 from the street) Not an issue for us, but if you struggle with stairs worth considering.

Maria's place in Poros was a wonderful first landing spot for us in Greece for us. It is in a quiet neighborhood, in a very secure spot, inside an older apartment complex at the edge of the urban area so that one can sit on the back balcony and watch the many wonderful birds, the sunrise, moonrise etc. Its a small apartment but the balcony makes it seem expansive if ones likes to work and sit outdoors. Mattie and I and our small dog were there off-season and even in the fall the weather was amazing. Its a very short walk to two markets, a butcher, the beach, and several beach restaurants. Its a short and very pleasant walk to downtown Poros. We had a car but if we did not we would have rented motorbikes to get to the more remote beaches and tavernas. Maria was a very communicative host. We highly recommend Maria's place.

Hydra ist eine der schönsten Inseln, die ich je besucht habe und so war auch die Unterkunft - einfach magisch! Nur zu empfehlen!

Anna’s home was beautiful as was the location. Very close to some amazing restaurants on both sides of the peninsula. Easy walk to the ferry. We were made to feel like part of the family. Anna left us lovely fresh fruit, jams and water. Communication by Anna was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. Perfect for us and we would definitely choose to stay here again if the opportunity arose. Thank you Anna.

We loved our stay at Sofia’s place on Hydra. We had everything we needed plus the luxury of a garden with a path down to the sea. It was so peaceful and beautiful. We explored some hiking trails in the hills which were covered with wildflowers and we swam everyday in the clear waters. Sofia was so friendly and helpful: the perfect host. We’d love to return to Sophie’s place in the future

Η Ρίνα μια συμπαθέστατη ζέστη και χαμογελαστή φυσιογνωμία μας καλοσορισε με τον καλύτερο τρόπο! Εγω και η παρέα μου νιώσαμε σαν το σπίτι μας! Υπέροχος χώρος που είχε όλο τον απαραίτητο εξοπλισμό καταπληκτική περιοχή με ποικιλόμορφη βλάστηση χάρισε στο ταξίδι μας μια ιδιαίτερη σημασία ώστε να την επισκεφτούμε πάλι σύντομα!!!

We had an amazing time at this very spacial Villa. The spectacular landscape, the most beautiful beach, the romantic house with its roses and arches as the house's architectonic signature. The house is spacious and beautiful with handmade wooden carpentry. The artist is Michalis who takes care of the house and his wonderful daughter, Eleni who welcomed us most beautifully.

Beautiful scenic accommodations. Host was spectacular and generous.

Fantastic place, very private and with a truly stunning view. Pool was great, very well maintained and Mara is an amazing host. We would definitely like to return. You will need some way of transportation and Poros is very easy to access with ferry or water taxis for a large selection of restaurants. Great experience overall

The most amazing place we’ve ever been! Amazing staff, amazing views, amazing island! I have to say that we’ve been there 9 days in the caravan with our 7 years old son! Christos is the most warm, friendly and supportive person! He did everything to make us feel like home! Thanks to all his family there! His sister helped me when I was sick; his son was always around if we needed help for anything! We’ll be back next year for sure! Aponisos is a magic place! Beautiful beaches, amazing sunsets and unforgettable nights outside! Thank you for everything! You are the best HOST, Christos! ♥️🙏🏻

Man kann eine sehr schön angelegte Anlage mit Pool erwarten. Das Haus ist sauber und es ist alles vorhanden was man benötigt. Einziges klitzekleine Manko: Wenn man einen reinen Sandstrand finden möchte muss man sehr weit fahren.

A truly secret and very fairly priced way to explore the beautiful island of Poros. The island is accessible from the campsite via a rural walk and boat ride across from Galatas. Porros itself is buzzing at the port and a cracking place to explore. As for the campsite, it is absolutely fantastic. My worry was that it would be too hot in the tent, but the fan is very effective and the room wholly spacious and comfortable, even decadent. Ablutions are also spotless and spot on. Despite the fact that there are quite a number of tents, the camp never felt crowded. It was entirely peaceful and family friendly (although I went in a couple). The beach area with a bar and delicious food is tremendous, supplemented by a brilliant shared swimming pool too. This is a truly remarkable place, run by entirely lovely people. I’d love to come back one day soon.

Most recommended! A beautiful villa with an amazing view, located right on the beach. The shoreline is shared only by a few villas, so it feels very private and peaceful. We stayed for 10 nights—7 adults and 3 children—and had the best vacation! Νεκταρία’s, the host, and Stratos, co-host were wonderful: incredibly kind, helpful, and always one step ahead with recommendations for places to visit and food-shop, even before we asked. They were welcoming, attentive, and available throughout our stay. The villa is perfectly designed for groups, with plenty of shared spaces to spend time together as well as private corners for quiet moments. It’s very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is spacious and fully equipped for cooking, grilling, and even making cocktails. We prepared our traditional festive dinner there and didn’t miss a thing. Thank you so much for the perfect family vacation—we can’t wait to come back!

A hidden gem right by the sea. The property of Georgios is very unique and beautiful, The old olive trees in the big garden are very special. The terrace was amazing to just sit on and watch the Ocean. The close by beach and Tavern make it perfect! We loved this place to start off our Greece Vacation. Georgios is also very nice and easy in contact- we arrived very late, no problem for him. Thank you!

Το κατάλυμα του Ανδρέα ήταν πολύ όμορφο κ ο ίδιος εξαιρετικός οικοδεσπότης τόσο κατά τη διάρκεια όσο κ μετά την αναχώρηση. Καθαρό , φωτεινό κ ακριβώς όπως εμφανίζεται στην καταχώρηση. Συνιστάται ανεπιφύλακτα σε όλους τους επισκέπτες της περιοχής.

Der Außenbereich ist unglaublich - man ist für sich, es gibt verschiedene Stellen zum Sitzen und Liegen, sehr klasse die Aussendusche - hier kann man hervorragend draußen leben. Eine kleine, schöne Bucht ist in 3 min zu Fuß erreichbar. Es ist wunderbar ruhig hier. Im Haus hat man alles, was man braucht. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

We spent 2 whole weeks in October in Mariangela's apartment, when the weather was still warm, but not too hot, and the water temperature was perfect (24-25 degrees). Our main goal was having a relaxing time and the apartment ideally fitted this goal. We received the key for access to a private beach, 100 meter from the home, so we went swimming almost every day, sometimes even twice. Other beaches were nearby. Notwithstanding our late arrival at 10 PM we were met cordially by Mariangela and her husband Michael. The refrigerator was filled with welcome gifts, such as wine, juice, bread and paté. Also there were lots of food supplies (coffee, tea, own olive oil, candies, crackers), all of which we were invited to use. Mariangela and Michael were very helpful and momentarily answered to all our requests. Michael even invited us for a private boat trip, which we unfortunately had to decline. We immediately felt at home in the apartment! Next time in Greece we will surely return here!

Είχαμε μια υπέροχη διαμονή! Το σπίτι είναι ένα παραδοσιακό όμορφο και ευρύχωρο εξοχικό και είναι όπως στις φωτογραφίες. Ειναι κυριολεκτικά δίπλα από τη θάλασσα, ιδανικό για οικογένειες. Πολύ ωραία αμμώδης παραλία. Η περιοχή είναι πολύ ήσυχη και ταυτόχρονα πολύ κοντά στην Ερμιόνη. Η Κατερίνα και οι γονείς της ήταν εξαιρετικοί οικοδεσπότες, πολύ φιλόξενοι και μας βοήθησαν σε ο τι χρειαστήκαμε.

Εξαιρετική φιλοξενία, εξυπηρετικοί και διακριτικοί οικοδεσπότες, ήρεμη και εύκολα προσβάσιμη τοποθεσία δίπλα στη θάλασσα, καθαρός και μεγάλος χώρος κατάλληλος για τετραμελή οικογένεια σε εξαιρετική τιμή για την τοποθεσία και τις παροχές που προσέφερε. Θα το συνιστούσα ανεπιφύλακτα!!!

The perfect getaway island for a young family. Pavlos and Maria are exceptionally warm, friendly and helpful. We loved the ease of the location with a one year old - 20m from the beach and great restaurants, and also with a cot, high chair, potty and changing mat. Loved it!

Το σπίτι ήταν ακριβώς όπως στην περιγραφή και στις φωτογραφίες. Οι ιδιοκτήτες μας έστειλαν το στίγμα της τοποθεσίας και βρήκαμε το σπίτι πολύ εύκολα. Το σπίτι ήταν πολύ καθαρό. Έχει τα πάντα που χρειάζεται μια οικογένεια. Η κουζίνα πλήρως λειτουργική και με πλυντήρια πιάτων και ρούχων. Η αυλή του διαμερίσματος πάρα πολύ εξυπηρετική. Και για να κάτσει κανείς, αλλά και για να αφήσει τα πράγματα της θάλασσας. Μας άρεσε πολύ το εξωτερικό ντους. Υπάρχει χώρος στάθμευσης για το αυτοκίνητο, ακριβώς έξω από την πόρτα του σπιτιού. Η παραλία είναι στα 50 μέτρα και πάρα πολύ καλή. Γενικότερα, για μια οικογένεια η οποία θέλει να κάνει ήσυχες διακοπές, νιώθοντας σαν το σπίτι της και με τη θάλασσα δίπλα, το σπίτι είναι ιδανικό. Ευχαριστούμε πάρα πολύ τους ιδιοκτήτες για τη φιλοξενία!
