Beautiful place and a nice clean home

Very nice cabin, perfect for a larger group. It would have been nice to have another bathroom, but with a little planning, 15 people and 1 bathroom worked out fine.

The cabin is located in quiet surroundings inside the forest (we were lucky enough to see both deer and squirrels) and with a short distance to the rocks and the beach. That room nice 2 families (a total of 8 people) and we think the cabin contained what we needed to cook for everyone. Rolf was a nice host who guided us by phone to find out the first day and it was extra nice that there were nice roses on the table and that the fridge contained refreshments when we arrived.

Per Christian and family were exceptionally kind hosts. They were wonderful ambassadors of their home, and also of the area and the country! As newcomers to Norway, they helped us feel truly welcome, which we really appreciated. :) Their house is thoughtfully and beautifully designed. It's homey with a lovely selection of furniture and decor. As an added bonus, the nearby store called Tjøme Kolonial had wonderful organic and local products. I'd definitely recommend staying at Per Christian's home and enjoying the little oasis they've created.

Silje's cottage was an immediate feel-good place!We were allowed to spend a few beautiful & quiet days on Little Yellow, with Silje always answered directly & answered our questions with advice & action. Particularly missing will be like the veranda with the large garden (including hot tub)! Also the available board games made us sweeter every night:) Not far away we had everything we needed: from supermarket, to restaurants, to a great beach. The proximity to the next larger city of Fredrikstad also had its advantages! There we came across friendly people and delicious food & admired the diverse sculptures. In any weather you could do something & a rainy evening was in order, the day in Silje's cottage ended really well with a cozy fireplace & a movie night. Definitive recommendation !!

What a hidden gem, secluded in a beautiful forest but still close to all facilities like supermarkets and shops. We enjoyed the amazing views of the fjords straight from panoramic hottub. The house is spacious and lovely decorated, clean and fully equipped. Immediately felt at home. The annex is a nice addition for those in need of some extra privacy. Several terraces and bbq facility, fire pit…you name it! Many hikes to do straight from the cabin. The earlier reviews seem to be from before renovation, because now it truly is paradise! Thank you Niklas, you’re a great host. We will be back for sure!

Camilla's hytta is a very "down to earth" typical norwegian hytta which is exactly what we like :) Simple things, fireplace, a book, lunch outside with a view, and some adventure in nature! Kid loved the garden:) Rocks, trees, path down to the water! Plenty of outdoor space for hide and seek ;) If you come in summer there is little beach area for a swim and brygge for kayakk opportunities! Hvaler overall is beautiful to visit!!!

We had a great stay at the cabin! It is bright and pleasant, and was clean and tidy when we arrived. There were fun toys there that our kids played well with. Martin was nice + easy to communicate with. Got quick answers to what we were wondering about. We would gladly came back!

Cabin with simple standard on large plot in the woods on beautiful Søndre Sandøy. The cabin is as described and as in the pictures. No water in the kitchen so have to get water in the harbor for dishes and drinking water, but it worked fine to get by bike (that's also part of the charm - at least in fine weather :)). There is running water in the bathroom for hand washing and similar. There are several bikes at the cabin that we used a lot! Many nice places within cycling distance and nice hiking trails on the island.

The cottage is located on a hill(the last meters walk over roots and rocks) with magnificent views of the bay of Skärhalden. We felt immediately comfortable in the house. It is very comfortable and lovingly furnished. The kitchen is well equipped, plenty of dishes and good pots. The bedrooms are small but with comfortable beds and shelving options everywhere, partly cabinets, clothes hooks, sockets. Around the house there are several terraces, possibility to grill. Directly from the house there are several beautiful walking trails, about 7 minutes to the beach. Swimming possibility with shower. We can recommend the house and would be happy to come back!

We were a group on a cabin trip to Skogro, and we had a great time. Very cozy cabin with plenty of space, nice outdoor area and short distance to nice hiking trails and beaches. We especially liked that you really noticed that Camilla cares about the cabin and wants you to enjoy it there. It would be nice to read about the history of the cabin and the furniture/interior. 🌞

Really great place to stay, nice and quiet on the edge of the forest, and with lots of amenities, weber grill, fire pit, jacuzzi ++. Great place to relax with kids.

We had a very cozy stay with Ole Kristian and Lillian. Cozy storehouse/bathhouse, patio and surroundings. Very nice and helpful when we needed. Highly recommended.

Great chalet in an amazing location! We were a family of 4, with two big and two small, and had a super week at Hvaler. A very well-maintained cabin with all the necessary amenities, within very short walking distance to a child-friendly beach. A cozy little walk from the car to the cabin. Quiet and peaceful with lovely panoramic view overlooking the sea. The host has been great to communicate with and has provided great instructions and tips for the stay. We would gladly came back!

An exciting place, the house was like a small museum from the 50s

A simple, but very cozy cabin, is sheltered with walking distance to Hvaler "center" "jetty". The outdoor area with outdoor fireplace was larger than we imagined and the whole gang sat anchored around it while we were visiting. The host was also helpful and available throughout the stay. 10/10.

Nice summer cottage with simple standard on beautiful Søndre Sandøy. Quiet surroundings a stone's throw from a nice beach. Recommended.

If you want to get know why so many scandinavians have vacation houses on the sunny coasts and stay there all summer, you have to stay here! The house is fun to stay in with great surroundings and all the necessary gear for water and beach fun. The house , how it is built and decorated , is light with great windows which give it a super summer feeling but at the same time could be very cosy in the winter as well. The garden is very spacious and adventurous if you come from city life. Island life can be thoroughly experienced as the island is quiet because of the carless aspect, no shops, and only 1 café,.....but not to worry, the local ferry stops very frequently so shops and restaurants and other islands to explore are very close by and a back and forth to the store doesn`t take long. A boat is also available and can be rented which we did to explore the region. The island itself is also fun to explore by foot and has some very beautiful alcove beaches and the little harbours where the ferry comes are very pictoresque. Kristin and Kristoffer are very helpful and easy to communicatie with. I would recommend the place to others.
