Relax in the heart of the village

This was my second time staying at Eunice's beautiful home. As with the last visit, she was warm and welcoming, her home was immaculate, and we had a great night's sleep in the comfortable bed. She made her wonderful breakfast in the morning, including her home made granola. We love the Ferndale area, and this was a great ending to a fabulous vacation. We plan on staying there again the next time we come through town.

Great four night stay. Loved the curated style of the Quarters and the whole property! Fantastic location, walkable to everything in town and great base to explore further afield. Lovely welcoming touches throughout. Quiet, casual yet romantic anniversary, which is what we wanted! Don’t skip Tuyas for great Mexican food (admit to eating there three times 😊) and Poppa Joes for old school hearty breakfast!

Everything about our stay was lovely. The room was spotless, and the bed was very comfortable. Our host was incredibly kind—she even baked fresh bread and muffins for us! We really enjoyed chatting with her and felt very welcome. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

The Groves at Redway Beach - Craftsman

PamRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We recently stayed for the second year in a row in late May with our 2 kids - ages 6 and 2. We think the house is a very unique and special place in a magical grove of redwood trees. The walk down to the river is beautiful and do able with little kids (we carried the 2 year old through the narrow wooded part downhill a bit). Having a fire in the fireplace in the evening is also a special experience. We will be back !
A light blue room is softly illuminated by natural light filtering through large windows adorned with lace curtains. An iron four-post bed is paired with white linens and decorative textiles. A vintage love seat, accented with cushions, offers a cozy seating area.

Absolutely lovely. Felt right at home and comfortable. Had great recommendations for the area. They invited us to a decorative hat party they were having! They were very conscientious about our stay, will definitely look into booking with them again if ever up in eureka again!

What a beautiful cottage, great view off the deck of the ocean, we could hear the sea lions in the distance. Clean space inside with comfortable bed, huge bathroom space and a comfortable sofa. We were a little disappointed that the fireplace didn’t work, but other than that, it was a great stay!

Farmhouse suite w/dinner & bkfst near ocean

JakeRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Wendy and John have a beautiful property just outside of town, and we feel fortunate to have booked a few days with them. Wendy fed us great meals, better than anything you’ll find in restaurants, especially if you like fresh vegetables. We loved chatting over dinners, and as a bit of a cookbook collector, also loved leafing through Wendy’s very well curated shelves (classics like Joshua McFadden, Ottolenghi, Nigel Slater, Marcella Hazan as well as more niche/less common ones). Their hospitality was top notch and we felt immediately welcomed and at ease in their space. Thank you both for a wonderful visit, we look forward to next time!

Private 2nd floor suite with ocean view

I had an amazing stay! The bathroom was a standout feature—absolutely luxurious with a very large bathtub that felt even better than what you'd find in a high-end hotel. Everything was spotless and incredibly clean, which made the whole space feel even more comfortable. The surrounding community was quiet and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing getaway. It’s also just a short walk to the Humboldt Trail, where you can enjoy beautiful views of the sea. The hosts were very friendly and talked with me a lot, which made the experience feel even more welcoming. Highly recommend!

Beautiful room garden view near beach + dinner

We had a truly memorable stay at Wendy & John’s beautiful home in Ferndale. The house itself is full of charm and character, but what made the experience unforgettable was the warmth and generosity of our hosts. Wendy prepared a delicious dinner with great care and attention to our dietary restrictions—something we truly appreciated. More than anything, we cherished the time spent in their company, sharing stories and learning from their incredible life experiences. Staying here felt like connecting with old friends. We left feeling inspired and grateful.
