Beachfront vacation rentals in Horseshoe Bay

Bench 170 is a very special spot. As my nephew said on arrival, it's 10 out of 10. The house is beautiful and everything was of top quality, the proximity to the beach so great, and we've never experienced such thoughtful touches in all our combined travels. The home had everything we could anticipate, including laundry facilities, pantry items, toys for kids. It was a great combination of a gorgeous holiday home and it being a comfortable livable spot.

This place is fantastic. It was wonderful getting a front row seat to the waves from right in the living room. We loved walking out just the couple of steps to the beach and hunting for sea glass and agate. Had fun playing a bit of tennis right across the street from the house. Beds were super comfy and cozy. Bit far from stores, but it was really nice being somewhat away from civilization in such a peaceful area. This stay was extremely relaxing and rejuvenating. We would love to come back one day!

We had amazing stay at Christi and Jason's! There is everything you need for a cozy stay, AND the view of the ocean and mountains is spectacular. We got lucky with the weather too, so everything was extra good. They gave us great recommendations on where to go around the area and we'd definitely come back.

Peter's place was perfect for our three nights on Galiano with our dogs. The house was comfortable and the view was exceptional! We had perfect weather to enjoy the patio and veranda, and it was a great base from which to explore the island. The location on Montague Harbour provided ready access to the Provincial park and we also travelled to several other locations for hikes and beach adventures. Larry welcomed us when we arrived and was available to answer questions as needed. We will definitely stay here again on future trips to Galiano.

We always enjoy staying at Shannon's as her place feels like home to us. Shannon is friendly, prompt in her communication and her place is supplied with everything for a comfortable family stay. We always look forward to her generous and thoughtful breakfast basket! The short walk to the beach is a special part of our vacation too. Thank you, Shannon, for being a valued host.

What an amazing view in a lovely town with great beach walks and hikes close by. Could not recommend this place more. Amanda is a fabulous host, full of great recommendations and made certain everything at the flat was to our liking. We will definitely be back! Did I mention the view from the flat and deck was amazing? Absolutely mesmerizing, especially on a full moon.

This was my second time staying here and it was equally wonderful both times! A gorgeous, quiet spot with a beautiful garden and the most amazing beachfront. We loved sitting by the water in the afternoon and watching the wildlife go by. An adorable space with a comfortable bed, great kitchen, and perfect little space heater to keep us cozy on the couch. Highly recommend.

Jim and Sue are outstanding hosts who go above and beyond to ensure their guests are taken care of. Their air bnb was a clean, cozy and peaceful place to stay. The location was perfect and close to everything we needed. The sunset beach walks were stunning. Words cannot express how grateful we are for the kindness and compassion they shared during our difficult circumstances. We feel very blessed that we had a comfortable and safe place to land and are so grateful for the accommodations you were able to provide throughout our stay. Many, many thanks.

We loved our time at this condo and will definitely be back! The views and pool are amazing. It’s quiet, bright and well equipped and furnished.

This was one of the best stays in our lives. The place, the views, the feelings was something out of ordinary. We loved the place from the very first moment we found it on the Internet and loved it even more when we arrived there. I would definitely recommend this place and would really like to go back there as soon as we plan another vacation.

Perfect little condo for our weekend getaway as a family of four plus our pup. Our kids (4 and 6) loved the bunk bed and access to the pool. The other room is a loft room so it’s a bit bright in the morning. The condo had great decor, and all the necessary items. It was a great home base for a couple nights!

We had a lovely time staying in Tammy’s home. It was really clean and very well stocked with everything we needed. She is very responsive and we were able to check in a bit early on our arrival. The bed is very comfortable and there is a lovely view of the water from the patio. We would definitely stay here again! The resort has a tennis court, lots of grills, one campfire pit, dock for crabbing or boats, beach for clamming. The property is very well kept. Thanks again Tammy for such a lovely stay!

Pat's place is awesome. We, a family of four - two adults and two kids (one is at teen age and another one is younger), spent a great long weekend there. Bright, cozy condo with great view from almost any window. It fits all of us, has a nice kitchen with everything you need for your stay. Heated pool with a hot tub, which we and kids enjoyed, just downstairs. The Bay is very good for paddle boarding. We did twice over our stay. If tide is low, you can reach a tiny island where you can find lots of purple and orange sea stars, crabs, and oysters. Ladysmith and Nanaimo suggest great dinner options. Nanaimo also has a nice walkable Marina merging into Maffeo Sutton park. If you like hikes, we tried Extension Ridge Trail hike near Nanaimo and can strongly recommend it to anyone. Malahat Tower is a fun place to visit, just one hour of driving from "Inn of the Sea" resort, we've been there, and were not disappointed. Will definitely stay again at Pat's place.

The stay at Jason's was peaceful and refreshing. It's a beautiful spot and nice and clean.

Host is so friendly and responsive! Absolutely loved how close we were to the beach. Such a cute place to relax! We appreciated the many recommendations around town😊

The unit was exactly as shown in the pictures. It was extremely comfortable for three people with a well-appointed kitchen, large dining area, private patio and a lovely view of the water. We enjoyed using the Inn of the Sea's pool, hot tub, and communal barbecues, and watching the sun come up with our coffees down on the dock. Thank you, Genevieve, for sharing your beautiful place with us - we'll be back!

Our stay at Linda and Ian’s was incredible, the pictures do not do it justice for how peaceful and beautiful it is. We spent most of the long weekend on the property, cooking our own food and hanging out on the multiple different levels all of which have amazing ocean views. Ian and Linda were so welcoming and friendly, they shared some of what they love about the property including showing us their crabbing process. We went from watching the seals swim in waves from the lower deck (lots of stairs!), to watching the sunset from the hot tub, to playing games on our unit balcony. The most perfect weekend, we will be returning and brining more friends!

We had a wonderful stay! Had everything we were looking for -- waterfront location and set up well for children. The location and windows looking out onto the bay, islands, Straight of Georgia and across to Mt. Baker were what we loved most. Saw a lot of wildlife. Steps down to the water were nice too. House was otherwise set up well and as described. Highly recommend this location.

My husband and I had the most amazing time. As always, Darlene and John are amazing hosts. Everything was perfect.. location and especially the breakfasts. We love this place so much and appreciate the effort that Darlene puts into it.

Gary's place was absolutely gorgeous. The waterfront suite is private, with a stunning view of the water. Gary and his wife were absolutely charming hosts, the kind of people you would like to invite to dinner. The breakfasts were outstanding. Especially the lattes, omelettes and the Australian scones. The master bedroom was massive with an incredible view. The bathroom was deluxe. The whole suite was extremely clean, and we really loved using the kayaks to paddle around and then jump in the hot tub. They also have a fantastic outdoor shower and sauna. We also loved biking around the Island, visiting the Saturday market and we appreciated being close enough to walk into Ganges - which we did for a night to dine at Feast, also recommended. Overall, a very magical weekend.

Beautiful quiet home. Big sunny deck lots of chairs and space for all 6 of us. Enjoyed the bbq. Private beach access. Modern clean cabin. Very comfy beds. Kids loved the bunk beds. Awesome to have access to a washer and dryer. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. It’s bigger than the pictures show. Would love to come back. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful relaxing family vacation at Libby’s place. The home was very comfortable. The views were stunning! Great place to stay.

Rachel was very friendly and responsive from signup to checkout; that makes such a difference to me; I appreciated the ease, clarity, and friendliness in her communication. Her location was absolutely beautiful - the view is stunning - the quiet was restorative. Rachel's guest suite is light-filled, clean, and welcoming. The bed was super comfy and the bathroom was spacious; we had everything we needed. The suite and the neighborhood felt very private and safe. The location is close to the village and there are so many trails and beaches nearby. It is an ideal place for one or two people to stay and there is a lot to see and explore. We feel very fortunate to have been able to stay here and wholeheartedly recommend a stay at Rachel's while on Gabriola.

Amy was a fantastic host! Her space was gorgeous, clean, and Amy was personable! It was my first time in Canada and she had great recommendations for my stay! Would stay again :-)
