Family-friendly vacation rentals in Honshu

I've only been here for two nights but I'll definitely be back, a magnificent house with a very private and well-kept neighborhood. On the other hand, right behind the house is a spectacular izakaya. We loved everything. Thanks again. 💕

We used it with a total of 5 people, 2 adults and 3 children.It was my first time using Airbnb, and I was worried until the day of, but there was detailed follow-up from before check-in to check-out, and I was able to use it with peace of mind.The surrounding scenery and the onsen were especially great.The kids were also very happy and we had a good spring break trip.I will stay again if I have the opportunity.

Location is great but comes with a price if you are bothered by late night trains bring earbuds. It did not bother us and the host was very hospitable and friendly. Good sized accomodation for the area. Would happily stay again!

Stayed 3 nights at this beautiful home. great location... short walk to the metro station and centre of Kyoto. The accommodation had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Very responsive host and would definitely stay again.

Finding the place was ok I passed the road at first, there is a huge parking driveway but narrow roads to get to the home. I rented a 7 passenger van and was able to drive to the house with a spotter. Once we got there it was super easy to get in. Host was very helpful and responded quickly. There were bikes we were able to use and a baby stroller. There is a laundry machine with soap provided. The bathrooms had amenities. There were plenty of dishes. There is a button on the wall to turn on the hot water. There is a bathroom on the bottom floor and 2nd. Overall this was a super great experience especially for the price!

Great Machiya stay with a traditional feel, but with modern amenities such as heated floor! Also perfect location to explore Kyoto. Tokuji san was always very responsive during communications. Overall, highly recommended!

We had no trouble finding the hotel from the train. It was a walking distance and it was quite a lovely walk because you see all the different stores and restaurants. We arrived early so we rested in the lounge and then went shopping and had lunch. Finally, our room was ready and we were very impressed with the decor as well as a cleanliness. We especially loves the outdoor onsen which made you feel really relaxed as you listen to the birds. Our next night was with another Iori property so they transported our luggage to the next destination (so that we didn’t have to lug it around on the bus). Overall, we would be returned!

It's a a very peaceful and sweet place which provides us a perfect home for friends to enjoy. The host offers pick up services every day even during the New year holidays. I give my strong recommendation to who would like to have a great time with friends and family

This was my second time staying there. I like it a lot. It was great to be able to park the car in the garage in front of the house, and I stayed with the dog, but they also provided gauges and dog plates, which was very helpful. It had a shower room and bathroom, so it was comfortable to take a bath without waiting. I want to use it again.

Our family of four recently stayed at Yamano Kyoto Residence for five nights during our first visit to Kyoto, and Yamano and his wife truly made our trip unforgettable. The house is exactly as described—spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully equipped with all the amenities to make us feel at home. Its convenient location near the train station and bus stop made getting around effortless. The host's prompt and attentive responses to our questions were greatly appreciated. We had an amazing stay! The host was incredibly friendly, always ready to help with a smile. The check-in process was a breeze, and we appreciated the clear instructions on how to use the household appliances and explore nearby attractions. We can't wait to return to Tokyo! The Asakusa Line, Stop 04, Entrance/Exit A1 was a game-changer for us, making our subway adventures super convenient and fun!

The Maneki Machiya staff were extremely responsive and helpful throughout the entire booking process. Our unit happened to be named "Cozy" but "cozy" is the best way to describe not only the houses themselves but also the nature of staying in this quieter, calmer part of Kyoto. The rooms are laid out very smartly and charmingly; a wonderful place to come back to after a long day of temple visits and river walks.

Cross the road and you'll find Lake Biwa!It's the best location There are plenty of rooms and beds, so I think it's best for about 3 families There is only one bath, so if you have a large family, I think it would be a good idea to plan a nearby hot spring from the start There are quite a few amenities, seasonings, etc. If you check in advance, they will be kind and accommodating. I had a really pleasant time

I saw the sea right in front, so the scenery was very nice.

The sauna, water bath, and natural hot spring were all pleasant to use!The description of the facility was also easy to understand, and we had a comfortable stay.

We very much enjoyed our stay here ! The house is very large with 4 bedrooms, well equipped kitchen, bath tubs both indoors and outdoors and everything you need for a fantastic holiday. It is located in a peaceful forest area away from the crowds. If you have a dog, there are also plenty of facilities for your pet. Very easy to get from the house to Lake Kawaguchi and Chureito Pegoda, the 7 seas of Oshino, many temples, gardens, museums and also the F1 racetrack. If you have a car, this home is a perfect base to get everywhere. We really felt at home and enjoyed that everyone had their own bedroom with comfortable beds.
