Mökki means "cottage" in Finnish, a Nordic language. Enjoy your time in a special space away from everyday life. Guest house Mökki is located in Shinano-cho, blessed with forests, lakes and snow in northern Nagano Prefecture. Nearby, there are many natural sightseeing spots such as Kurohime Highlands, Lake Nojiri, and Togakushi. A building from the development era, it has been stylishly renovated using plenty of natural materials such as pure cedar, hinoki cypress, and plaster. We also focused on the interior and kitchen utensils so that you can enjoy "living". In the winter, when it is completely covered in snow, you can enjoy the beautiful view of the snow-covered landscape. You can follow animal tracks on snowshoes and go on a snowy picnic, or enjoy a bonfire and BBQ in the riverside house in winter. There are also 7 ski resorts within a 30-minute drive. This area is famous for its powder snow, and is also a great base for skiing and snowboarding. There is also a birthday cake service for guests celebrating birthdays and anniversaries. Opened in July 2024. La Fotografia Marrone is conveniently located a 9-minute walk from Kanazawa Station and a 6-minute walk from Omicho Market, where buses leave for major tourist spots in Kanazawa. The building faces a quiet street lined with Kanazawa Machi-style houses, and you can see the largest temple in Kanazawa, Tozai-in Temple. The building consists of a traditional exterior and interior layout. In addition, in the "photography" section, which is also the theme of this accommodation, there is a photo exhibition by Japanese photographer "Kimura Katsuhiko IG @ kats_portraits". In addition, you can spend a relaxing time indoors listening to the music that Mr. Kimura selected to match the photos. I am an Artist / Photographer born in Kyoto I started hosting because I love meeting people from all over the world and making new friends. This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. Private cypress bath and renovated rooms and made another entrance for the Guests. So now it is 2 separate house Please check the house rules before you book.
