Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Holmfirth

We very much enjoyed our stay at this quaint little cottage. It was very clean, well equipped and true to the photos on Airbnb. Ben was very prompt when we had a small issue and very quickly sorted the issue. Lots of lovely walks nearby and easy access to the Peak District. We found a lovely restaurant a 15 minute walk away called Finlay’s - cannot recommend enough. Convenience store literally 2 mins away and Holmfirth a short drive or within walking distance.

Great place, perfectly clean and stocked of all the essentials. Comfy beds and very nicely decorated, welcoming little holiday home. We had a great day and will definitely be back for more walks in the beautiful area

Lovely little cottage right in the middle of Holmfirth. It's a stones throw from Cooper's Yard, a great food and beer hall, as well as dozens of other restaurants, cafes and bars, but far enough away from the main road you won't notice the noise. Just be prepared to stumble up the steep hill back to the cottage if you've had a few drinks down in the centre! Very easy to get out of Holmfirth either on walking routes or car (we did walks from the Coop down the road before checking in and also drove to the Peak District from the cottage, ~45m drive on a quietish day).

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cottage; fabulous location within easy walking distance of all local attractions. Well equipped and very cosy it exceeded expectations! Beds were so comfy too.

Colin's place was lovely, we felt right at home! Loved all the quirky collections around the house. Everything in the house was clearly thought out especially the binder! It had everything from house manuals to places to eat and explore around Thurlstone/Penistone. The location was an ideal base for nature walks/hikes as it's only a few steps from trans-penine trail. It was lovely to meet Colin on our way out too!

Perfectly located within easy reach of all shops/restaurants - We have a BMW X5 it was difficult getting parked behind the house but we had been told this by the host that car access was narrow and was able to park in the car parks no problem Loved having the lounge on the top floor with gorgeous views over the valley Will definitely return the house was beautiful with plenty of room for 2 couples…

A beautiful cottage in a lovely Yorkshire town. Great to walk out the door and be on the hills in minutes. Close to restaurants and cafes. Can highly recommend the Bengal Spice

What a great spot! This is a very unique place, the first smart home we’ve stayed in & we got to grips with it very quickly, and not to mention so cosy! We honestly felt right at home soon as we arrived, and the location had an amazing view, and had lots of extra toiletries (if you forget anything like we did). Both Sinead & Gareth were very responsive if we needed anything, certainly recommend staying here. Extra points for the huge smart TV perfect for our movie night! Thank you for a lovely stay 😊

What a beautiful find. Loved the quality of the mews. Location was great and lots to do nearby. Highly recommend Cannon Hall Country Park, Cannon Hall Farm, Nostell National Trust and the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. Would certainly come back.

Mike's place was perfect for our 3 night trip to the Colne Valley. The farm shop just across the road and pub a short walk away were very handy. The place was very clean and had everything we needed, and we felt really comfortable as soon as we walked through the front door. Would lo e to come back and explore the area more.

Just what we were looking for - long scenic walks in beautiful surroundings. The flat was so lovely and was comfortable with everything we needed - with wonderful views. Perfect get away.

The accommodation itself is spotlessly clean, and has every amenity you could wish for - Sally really has thought of everything. The perfect place to stay when visiting Leeds but wishing to stay somewhere away from the hustle and bustle - and so much nicer than a hotel room.

This was my second time staying at Ben and Kate's place. I would definitely recommend it if you're looking to stay somewhere peaceful but within a few minutes walking distance into the town centre. They have the comfiest bed and leave delicious chocolates too.

This is an amazing place, with beautiful views over the valley and hills. The garden is stunning and full of birdlife. The house is beautifully decorated, has nice layout, and is well equipped with everything you need for cooking and a very comfortable stay. There is great walking up on the moor, accessed by a gate from the garden. It's also a short drive from Hebden Bridge, a beautiful town full of cafes and interesting shops. Stuart and Angela are lovely hosts, I would highly recommend their place to stay in this area.

This is a perfectly located flat for visiting Slaithwaite and its environs. Very well appointed and clean. Just be aware there is an alarm which needs to be deactivated on arrival - we missed that piece of information! - so the grandkids were quite upset on our arrival. Fortunately we were able to get hold of the code quite quickly and deactivate it. Apart from that we had a great stay and plan to return soon.

Fantastic place to stay, space was clean and stocked with everything that we needed. 5 star hosts, they even provided fresh milk and a coupe of Kit Kats. Would highly recommend and would stay again if in the area.

Lovely one night stay at the bolt hole. Beautiful, peaceful village location and convenient for events at Halifax Piece Hall, which is the main reason we chose here. The property was spotlessly clean and the little touches of being left Milk, Juice home made bread, Jam and cake by the hosts, was very welcome. The welcome pack contains lots of information about the area such as things to do, restaurant recommendations and walks and would not hesitate in booking again in the future.
