Family-friendly vacation rentals in Hokkaido

The house was beautiful and really well kept. We were close to Anapuri and Niseko so lots of skiing options and several places to eat nearby. We'd come back for sure

An excellent host and a lovely stay.

This was my most favorite Airbnb I’ve ever stayed at. The private onsen after skiing was a HUGE plus to this stay and now life will never be the same for me until I get my own onsen someday. The Airbnb itself had everything we needed including a fully stocked kitchen. The host was very responsive and helpful. I’d love to stay here again someday.

There were two beds on the first and second floors, so four men used the space comfortably. Nearby mart If you buy firewood, you can use the fireplace in the living room. The host is very kind and has information about nearby restaurants and tourist information in the accommodation. I highly recommend it.

I stay in this host's other room every year, but this time I disturbed this Airbnb because of work. The reservation itself was an urgent matter, but it was really helpful to have a surprisingly quick and flexible response. I was able to stay with peace of mind because they responded immediately to other contacts during my stay. I think it's great to feel safe from the host's quick and hospitable interaction. This Airbnb may be a little inconvenient without a car, but if you have a car, it is also convenient for users such as the airport, as well as tourist attractions such as Asahiyama Zoo, Kamui Links, and Canmore ski resort. The bedroom is tatami mats and futons, so it is recommended for families with small children. There are so many supermarkets to choose from within the range of cars. It is a room where you can cook your own meals, so you can buy and eat Genghis Khan and delicious rice. There are all kinds of commercial facilities such as food and drink within a 15-minute drive, as well as appliances, clothing, and home centers, so you can rest assured that you need something locally. The room facilities and cleanliness are comparable to the age of the building, and the floor plan (especially the bath) is unique, but those who want to cook their own meals, those who want to stay cheaply. I'd love to stay in the future when I visit Asahikawa.

We would like to thank Pleasure Maruyama and Suzu for creating unforgettable memories for our family. Thanks to Maruyama Park, Hokkaido Shrine, shops, restaurants, and cafes around the house, I felt comfortable and relaxed as if I was living in Sapporo. I plan to visit Sapporo again to stay at Pleasure Maruyama.

We loved the authentic Japanese feel of this house in the woods. We used the irori (hearth) to cook a lamb stew, which was an unforgettable experience. We were also able to walk to the nearby onsen which also has a restaurant/cafe. This is an excellent base from which to explore Asahidake and Sounkyo. The town of Kamikawa is also worth exploring.

Awesome place to stay for a group ski trip! The house is way bigger than we expected with plenty of space to sleep 7 people in individual beds. Very clean and very responsive host. Would come back to stay again!! Be aware there is an additional tax required prior to checkout that isn’t included in the price.

It is true that it is quite remote as described and it is difficult to get there without a car.Other than that, there is nothing impeccable and a very affordable place to stay.

It was a pleasant stay. It rained a lot, but there were no bugs, and it was better because it had an atmosphere. They put up a big tent because it was raining, so there was no problem eating the BBQ.

The kindest most friendly people, excellent communication and care for what we were looking for in the location. I highly recommend especially to English speaking tourists also.

First of all, the host provided the clearest and most comprehensive directions I have ever encountered; congratulations! Everything explained with images and explanations for the stunned and exhausted tourist The apartment is 15 minutes from the subway, but a few hundred meters from a bus stop (although in the city buses are slow due to traffic) But if like me you're slipping on the ice (bring crampons for shoes in February!), and you have luggage, the bus is convenient The apartment was very clean and tidy, and there is an elevator, so it's not a problem for those with mobility difficulties Very convenient washing machine, and the stove allowed you to regulate the temperature Small kitchen but more than enough Clean sheets and towels Quiet neighbors, a little noisy on the street with the snow cleaning (but of course it's not the owner's fault!) I recommend it to individuals, couples, small families

It was such a nice place to stay that I wondered if it was okay to stay at this price. I wanted an inn with a fireplace, so I had a lovely time relaxing by the fire. There is no cell reception because it is in the middle of nature, but there is WiFi instead, so I don't think there is a problem with communication. Thank you so much!

Wonderful and beautiful accommodation in a great place to see Mt. Yotei. There is also a Seicomart nearby within walking distance, making it ideal for 2 or 3 nights with more than 3 people.Which is reasonable.

I stayed here for 10 days and had a wonderful experience. The apartment was cozy, clean, and spacious enough for two people. The host was very kind and responded quickly to any questions I had. The location was perfect. It is just a few stops from Odori Station and is located in a quiet and pleasant neighborhood. There is a supermarket nearby, along with several local restaurants. As someone who enjoys cooking, I appreciated that the kitchen was equipped with dishes and basic utensils. If you are looking to experience authentic local Japanese life, I would highly recommend staying here. It feels more like a home than a hotel, and the experience is much more personal and special.

There was a leak in the ceiling and they sent someone out very quickly to look into it! Super responsive to messages. The location was a little further than described but still walkable. Would stay again.

Great Stay! Clean and comfortable

I stayed a few days here, and it was great! Mr. Kazumasa was very kind, and the place was nice and kozy. Highly recommended if you want to spend a few days exploring the area!

Mari is a fantastic host. She is very helpful with advice and recommendations. Her cabins are very cute and comfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay. Pretty basic accommodation, but worked well for what we needed. 5-minute drive from the parking area at Grand Hirafu, which seemed to be the best of the 4 base areas at Niseko. Shower was a little funky, but once we figured it out the water pressure was strong and plenty of hot water. It was just my son and me, so we had simple needs, but I would definitely stay there again as a skiing crash pad with other guys. I would not, however, bring a wife/girlfriend/fiance or anyone else that wouldn't be happy with simple and basic accommodations.

Haru-san was a very helpful and responsive host and had a lot of useful amenities in the flat, including toothbrushes and hair ties! The place is right next to the station and a few konbini, so it was very convenient to travel. He also checked in on us throughout our stay to ensure everything is alright

We had the most wonderful time! Denton was fabulous in communication and gave us so many suggestions of things we could do, places to eat at, best places to hire snow gear etc. The kitchen was fabulous with everything available to use so we could cook at home which was so nice to not have to go out every night after snowboarding all day. The house is close to the resort and very private. So much space for our family to really relax alone or come together on the huge sofa! If you have the chance to stay here absolutely do so! See you next year Denton!
