Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Hokianga Harbour

Stunning location with a spectacular view. House was comfortable and coped very well with our group of 7, however the upstairs bedrooms need to be shared by a family as access to the bathroom was through the other bedroom. Road up to house very tricky and probably better attempted with a 4 wheel drive. We had a great week and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

I stayed here a few days after my wedding with my husband, 2 small children, parents and siblings. The house was amazing, especially the view of the ocean from the deck. The place was clean, nicely decorated, well stocked and Kirsty communicated really well. She even left us a card and bottle of cava to celebrate our wedding! It was private but a 3 min drive to central Russell. The driveway was steep but easily fit our 4 cars. We cannot fault our stay at all and I would definitely stay here again. We saw fantails, Tuis and weka and the garden was beautiful.

We came all the way from Wisconsin (USA) to visit an old friend that moved to Mangawhai. He recommended we headed north for the weekend and landed at Jordan’s home and we loved it. We spent most of our time on the patio / living space with the doors open listening to records. It was perfect. The home reminds me of my great grandparents cabin in up north Wisconsin when I was a kid. We spent time in downtown Kerikeri, where it had probably one of the coolest parks my son has ever been to (NZ had much cooler slides and zip lines than the US). We had friends that went fishing in the Bay of Islands that we ate for dinner that night at the house. We hit up the local market on Saturday morning where they had lots of vendors, music and food. We took the ferry over to Russell for the day. My son made friends with some of the neighbors while on some morning strolls. Definitely made the most of our time while we were there. Nikki and Chris’s place is clean and well maintained. Two of the bedrooms are in the basement while the master and two more on the main floor. The spa and pool are an excellent addition for our stay. The kids had a blast.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in spite of the inclement Easter weather. In fact the spacious and comfortable home helped to ease the problems caused by the stormy weather with us being able to wash and dry soaked clothing with ease. We would love to stay here again when the weather gods are kinder.

I would like to start off by saying how peaceful and beautiful and majestic this land is. The farmhouse is an amazing place to stay if you want some peace and quiet if you want to be able to see the Milky Way at night or wake up to cows and sheep in the morning. It was a last-minute Airbnb find for myself and my friend and Marissa was fabulous! She came over and made sure the house was good for us and when we got there, she also left us four fresh eggs, some freshly made hot cross buns, and some milk for the coffee. I felt like home!! The kitchen is unbelievable. The beds were so comfortable I didn’t wanna wake up. The sunrises over the mountains and the mist on the fields was beautiful. We got the most beautiful pictures of the sunrise and also some amazing pictures of the stars at night. I would recommend anybody in that area. The farmhouse is the place to go! Marissa and her husband showed us this beautiful scenic route to drive which we did and it was fabulous! The Farmhouse rocks

Hands down one of the most fantastic places I've stayed. Peaceful, private, very clean, large house. Everything about staying here was easy & relaxing. We wanted somewhere stunning & private, yet close to restaurants and touristy things to celebrate a 70th birthday getaway, and we certainly got it at Yewons. We also easily cooked two large meals with the kitchenware provided. Kids were entertained with boardgames & playing outside and we joined them adventuring down to the river/waterfall & finding exciting walking tracks. As a toddler mum, I definately appreciated the plastic plates/bowls, cups & games that were provided. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Kelly’s place is wonderful. It is a home away from home. Very well equipped. The location is perfect, overlooking the water in charming Kororareka Russell. Our stay was too short! We highly recommended Kelly’s place and will be back.

Wow! This is our family’s new favourite spot in Whangarei and actually our favourite air b n b to date. Toni was amazing, prompt replies to our messages and requests, very accommodating he allowed us an early check in as there was a storm happening at the time and we had our children with us. The place is stunning, warm and super homely. Absolutely perfect for a small family get away. Thanks Toni you will definately be seeing us again.

Joanna's place was filled with care and consideration. Lovely retro decor, luxury bed linen and great colour combos. A sanctuary close to the kauri forest. We felt right at home and enjoyed cooking our meals in the well thought out kitchen with plenty of utensils. Joanna also organised massages for us on the last day with Feur and Jed. And they were exceptional. We had such a lovely nurturing weekend away!

This accomodation is full of personality and it is an interesting and enjoyable space to be in . While the Dairy Factory is an old building ,all the surfaces are freshly painted ,clean and well cared for. The fresh flowers and produce bring a welcoming touch .I will definitely recommend and will definitely return with the team I work with.Many thanks Sue

Carmen and Justin are friendly welcoming host who go the extra mile to ensure you have a memorable relaxing break in their beautiful home. From the start they had excellent communication-accepting our late request on a busy weekend with a contractor rounding up on site. The home is cosy, clean, stylish and ideally located. It was children friendly and had plenty of board games and entertainment for quality family time. Despite our short stay we would highly recommend and book again in future. Thank you for a short and sweet getaway.

Beautiful, peaceful location. House was spotless and had everything you needed. Multiple outside zones to enjoy the nature and water views. Super private and only a 7 min drive to the heart of Russell.

James was a very accommodating and responsive host, the two properties are exactly as shown and served our large family gathering well. We got to hunker down in a cyclone but always felt sheltered and safe. Great for large groups!
