The bulk of the land is in native bush, with bush walks. 1 km from the Pou Herenga Tai cycle way, & about 30 mins drive from both Kaikohe & Kerikeri. With a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower, dining room/lounge - it is comfortable, warm and homely. Limited Wifi and Freeview TV available. Stunning location with a spectacular view. House was comfortable and coped very well with our group of 7, however the upstairs bedrooms need to be shared by a family as access to the bathroom was through the other bedroom. Road up to house very tricky and probably better attempted with a 4 wheel drive. We had a great week and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

We had a wonderful stay at John’s place!! The house is amazing and the views of the ocean are just incredible. John’s home is very comfortable and well furnished, and we took advantage of the hot tub and the kayaks - those things made a nice stay even better. We appreciated all of the great outdoor space and the well stocked kitchen (probably the best stocked kitchen we’ve ever had at an Airbnb). John was super host - very responsive, answered all our questions right away and even stopped by with some life jackets for the kayaks. The only small issue we had were some ants in the kitchen when we checked in. John had ant bait available and we used that right away and had no more issues during our stay. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We were a group of three couples (six people total), so we booked a place with three bedrooms to comfortably accommodate everyone. Sophie’s place turned out to be a great choice — all of us were very satisfied with the stay. One thing I had overlooked before booking was that there is only one bathroom (toilet, shower, and hand washing all in one space), so we had to be mindful of taking turns to avoid overlaps. Also, there were no mirrors in the bedrooms, which made it a bit inconvenient when getting ready. It would be even better if mirrors were placed inside the wardrobes or somewhere in the rooms. Only one of the three bedrooms had an oil heater, so the couple staying in that room were a bit envious by the others. ;-) Overall, it was a very pleasant stay, and we’d be happy to come back the next time we travel to this area.

The boy's house was absolutely amazing. Beautifully decorate, comfortable and the veiw was stunning. The boy's were amazing and friendly and were very apologetic for the bad weather over our stay but this just meant we spent a couple of days in thier amazing home. If planning to stay in Russell. I highly recommend this property.
