Tieedi Earthy cottage 01

SueRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Arriving at Tieedi we were immediately welcomed like old friends by Roy and the team and made to feel at home. This is an amazing oasis of calm in the beautiful forest where the aim is to protect the environment and work with the community towards eco-conservation and permaculture, which is a great initiative. The food was all organic and delicious and varied. Many stories were shared over meals where we found new friends. Roy was really helpful organising transport for us and suggesting places to visit. Beautiful views of the leafy forest from the room and birdsong in the morning, very relaxing. We would love to visit again in the future! Thank you Roy and Utsow for a wonderful stay.

AnjaliRating, 5 stars10 months ago
An amazing escape from your crowded metro life . A place where you can actually hear the birds chirp. Very peaceful and serene. The star gazing was amazing. The place is exactly as shown in the pictures. Riddhi is an amazing person and a very responsive host. Makes you feel right at home. They had 4 dogs and kunwar singh was the best :)❤️ Shagun and Riddhi have worked very hard to make this place unique and lovely. It felt like a peaceful adventure trip.

ZeroStay - Garhwali Farmstay

ManasRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Probably the best stay I’ve booked so far. I went with my friends, the place is in the middle of jungle and at the hill top, you need to trek through a trail of 1.2 kms which is beautiful itself. The hosts at zero stays were frequently in contact with us and helped us out with everything also came to receive us. Thanks Amit! The food, cutlery and servive is top notch and will gave you the feel of country style food. PS - Ask them for the hill top mud house, the view is insane. Thank you! Zero Stays for delivering such a great experience that I had to come back and write this review. Cheers

Experience a Unique Stay: Eco-Friendly mud house

RickRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Lovely, proactive and responsive Host. Thank you Deepak for staying with you, was amazing. Only stayed for two nights, but was worth every penny. Nice experience in a Mud house!! Nice and quietly to stay. If he develops the community space & kitchen this would be amazing. I the surrounding some good restaurants or things to do are missing, but if one is not looking for something like that it doesn't matter!!?

Forktail Villa - Organic homestay in Dharamshala

OmarRating, 5 stars12 months ago
The place was as described. Interiors had interesting nooks and was quite comfortable. Approach to the place has a slight complication with the big car to small car switch, but enough advice and support was provided to overcome it. Neighbourhood’s alright, just make sure you are good to walk up inclines and flights of stairs if you are exploring it on foot (we had elderly folks with us, they struggled a fair bit). Of course, what made the place stand out was Kaushal and his Team of Kapil and Raju. Very accommodating and friendly, and quick to help resolve a query or requirement. Even the people they recommend to you (cab drivers and such) were extremely kind and helpful, which just goes to show that they do care about your experience beyond their villa. Overall a very satisfying stay, and would be happy to recommend Forktail to others.

Village Homestay Panchase - Pokhara - Room 1

JoyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
I had the most special experience staying with ama and her family. There wasnt a lot to do in the village but the experience of just observing the daily village lives and being integrated as part of their local lives as a traveller makes this experience so memorable. I spent most times sitting in the kitchen watching ama and the sister in law cook up delicious meals from the open fire. Ama always invite me to observe her daily activities, shared her buddhist prayer ritual with me at the stupa and cooked up the most delicous dahl i ever had. Its such a privilege to experience this village life as a travellor and though we cant communicate in english she shared a book about her benefactor laura who was the reason all of this was possible. Rabindra was also super helpful in getting my transport and met me at the pick up point in pokhara. The sunrise views are magical as well, and on some clear days the mountains will also show itself at the backyard. An experience i will never forget!

the 4rooms (whole house)

DivyaRating, 5 stars38 months ago
We booked the entire place for a corporate retreat and couldn't have been happier with our stay. Suman and the other didi are great hosts, cook great food and extremely polite. They definitely play the part of being professional hosts but still bring warmth. Location couldn't have been better - we spent the entire night star gazing watching shooting stars and satellites. The only thing worth mentioning is that not all rooms have a door for the bathroom - some just have a curtain. It didn't matter to us but please ase check and book accordingly.

Harul ~ a boutique homestay!

KaranRating, 5 stars22 months ago
Harul is an untouched place offering its serenity and calmness to its guests. This place is 40 kms away from Chakrata but man o man what amazing drive and view you get on the way to this homestay. The place is very peaceful and is right fit for you if you are looking for something earthy and soothing. The hosts Neelam, Rahul and their two pawsome pups Moscow and Mia are everything you want in such experiences i.e., friendly and interactive. They made us feel right at home. Neelam makes sure all the guests are very comfortable right from the time they set foot in the property and makes sure everyone eats on time and personally accompanies them on evening treks. Speaking of food, since the place is secluded with not much of food placed around, the food offered at the property is super tasty and feels like you are eating ghar ka khana and at a very nominal price. All in all this place is full of warmth because of the hosts and I can visit them again because it felt like home.

SimonRating, 5 stars4 months ago
What a lovely place and such lovely people - hosts, manager and staff...and dogs. Nothing was too much trouble, super helpful with suggested local walks, local services and where to go next. Very nice food and good variety - perfect for the cold winter conditions. Great coffee. Very relaxed and welcoming of our dog too.

Venuvana - the Ant hill

MoniqueRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
A very special stay in a peaceful farm with a wonderful, local host family. We loved the intentionality of the spaces, the communication w the host (local family can use Google translate), and how well they accommodated our food allergies and requests. For those w different abilities - Lots of stairs and very bumpy road coming in! Not a place to do remote work w limited service/wifi but a great place for retreating! We would definitely come back and recommend for those looking for a peaceful stay.

Cottages| Exquisite Retreat with Panoramic Scenery

ShyamaRating, 5 stars36 months ago
I really liked the location of this place. It's 20 kms before main Manali market etc so if you're goal is to see Manali then this might be a bit far unless you have your own car. We weren't really interested in Mall road and our main goal was to drive to Atal tunnel and Keylong the next morning. So for a night's stay it was perfect. Surrounded by lots of green I liked the quiet ambience here. I am not sure how the other rooms were but we booked a villa that had a hall and 1 bedroom downstairs and 1 on the first floor. Both rooms had attached bathrooms. The campus also had some random swings that gave us 5 mins of adventure lol. Food taste was decent (some may not like it but if you're not a food drama queen you'll survive) P.S. For those worried by the word "Satvika" in the name - they do have non veg food :)

The Other Side, an Art Retreat

Sangay and Karma are great hosts. They take only one group at a time so we (me nd my partner) had the place to ourselves. You can requests the hosts for meal (for a very nominal price) incase you cant head out. The place looks exactly like in pictures and you will have a cozy feeling. The studio has a good vibe. Books to read and art of other students can be seen and enjoyed. Pets on the property are a great bonus.

The stay has all amenities one could possibly need including an excellent wifi. The food was great too. Pancham is an awesome host. Peaceful Hilltop Earthbag Home 12km from Kathmandu

MitchRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This place is a true getaway. A little hard to find on your own or with a taxi driver unfamiliar with the area but Ashish helped us find a local driver who got us there no problem, and Ashish was there personally to help us check in. We were three adults and four kids (8, 9, 10, 14) and had plenty of space for sleeping. Nepali style mattresses were relatively comfy. Kids enjoyed picking and eating mulberries. That tree also brought a multitude of different birds which was a real treat. Kitchen well stocked but bring your own groceries if you want to cook, as there aren’t many nearby stores. Breakfast is included, for which Ashish gives you lots of options, and if you don’t want to cook there is great momos and dal baht at the Kotdanda Valley View Restaurant, just a five minute walk away. The glass house, or solarium, was a favorite space for the kids to play and imagine. It’s also where they slept, with an amazing view of the city lights below. We had a wonderful time!

Nayalap - Himalayan Earth Homes

JatinRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Our stay at this beautiful Airbnb was beyond words. Every detail of the space has been designed with immense thought and care. Each corner reflects the love and intention behind this place, making it feel truly special. The food and service here were nothing short of five-star; the staff was attentive, making us feel welcomed and at home. The property is also maintained in the most sustainable way possible, which is truly admirable. One of the highlights was the village walks we went on with Tanuja, our wonderful host. Tanuja's knowledge and passion for the area made these walks not just informative but deeply inspiring, giving us a real glimpse into Kumaoni culture and traditions. This Airbnb is an absolute must-stay for anyone looking to slow down and fully embrace mountain living. A huge thank you to Tanuja and the entire team for creating such an experience.
