Cabin vacation rentals in Hill Country Village

The love shack was perfect for a weekend away! We grilled, enjoyed the hot tub, relaxed by the fire ring and on the back porch with gorgeous views. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed, from fire wood for the fire ring to k cups for the coffee pot, and lots of clean towels. We came down for a motorcycle rally, and scenic rides, but this was such a perfect little cabin, that we will absolutely be back. The host was thorough with the instructions, and super friendly and helpful with any questions we had. We were secluded but not too far from grocery stores or restaurants, they were just a little drive away. The bed was SO comfortable too, we both slept great! We had a wonderful time here at the love shack, and can’t wait to come back.

This was perfect for the R&R time that was needed. If looking for a serene place, quiet, nature, beautiful surroundings, this is definitely the place!

Dates: May 24th-June 9th Views/Environment: Spectacular views! Secluded. Peaceful. Stargazing while in the hot tub. Nature walk/hiking/outdoors. Picture perfect! Cabin: Spacious! Great layout. Comfy bed! Great amenities and well stocked with pots and pans, dinnerware, and grill stuff. Bathrooms are great and complete with bath towels and hot tub towels. Wifi available. Host: Spencer is a great host! I originally rented the cabin for 4 days but then i kept extending it and Spencer was easy to work with! I ended up staying from May 24th-June 9th. Location: The cabin was my home base. From there, we went to places like New Braunfels, Boerne, Kerrville, Frio River, Bandera, and other great places nearby. The bars in Bandera are awesome!!! We met a lot of people and I enjoyed the place so much. Check-in/Check-out: Super easy! No hassle. I highly recommend this place, 10/10! Looking forward to my next visit to Texas!

we loved it! it was secluded and gorgeous. your host went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and knew about our surroundings. she even checked in on us which I really appreciated. im hoping to go there every year for our anniversary

Wonderful place to relax and enjoy sitting on the porch enjoying nature, yet having Fredericksburg 15 minutes away. Hot tub right outside the door. Beautiful rustic looking cabin with all the modern conveniences. Extra nice touch with a bottle of wine waiting when we arrived.

A perfect weekend getaway. Just the peaceful environment we were looking for. The space was clean, cozy, plenty of space. The 7.5 acres was so much fun for our 2 dogs to explore. Absolutely nothing negative to say! Thank you!

My family and I loved staying at this cozy home nestled into the beautiful nature of the Texas Hill Country. Pulling in felt like arriving at a private resort, and we all enjoyed sitting on the rocking chairs on the deck to watch the stunning sunset. Our kids loved playing in the perfect sized pool, and the adults loved the experience of relaxing in the sauna while listening to the birds sing outside. The retro arcade cabinet was a huge hit with the kids (and with me, I’ll admit), and we enjoyed watching a family movie on the projector screen upstairs (the kids felt like they were in a private movie theatre). Maria and Larry are incredibly welcoming and proactive hosts; if you need anything at all, they won’t hesitate to help. I could not recommend this place higher, and we definitely will be coming back!

We had a great stay! Everything was just as stated in the description..maybe better! The pool area is so nice, and the hot tub was perfect. We did encounter a few critters but I would say that's expected given the surroundings. Definitely make sure you wear sandals around the pool area .I almost stepped on a scorpion! We loved EVERYTHING about this place and would definitely come back and stay again.

we felt like it was an absolute honor to stay in this artistic tribute to all things wonderful - whether a picture of a giraffe peering in the window to see what you are cooking, or a small plastic pig figurine looking down from above the shower. What an experience and we suspect each item displayed has a rich story that could go along with it. The artful displays provide a rich coziness to the experience in this large home. The owner keeps the place spotless and supplied with anything you might need. She is a super communicator and readily available to assist in any way. This is a place you do not want to miss - it is as unique as they come and very comfortable!

John & Sherri were very responsive when i had any questions, and are just down to earth people.

Great place, especially if you like to make friends with goats. They are friendly and adorable. Lovely cabin, clean and well-appointed. Very peaceful and quiet. Comfortable bed and good pillows. Has everything you need. If you're coffee-obsessed, as I am, just know it's one of those pod machines, and though pods were offered they weren't coffee-snob quality, so plan accordingly for your favorite pod or travel coffee-maker.

My friends and i stayed here and it was great, the house was very spacious. The house is also in a great spot close to stores and close to the river. I would book again for sure!

Oh my goodness, Burning Creek was a dream! From 15 to 73, we all loved it. It was the perfect place to celebrate not one, but two birthdays! (Our family of 6 included 3 generations, and mom and son share a birthday.) It was also the perfect location to visit Texas Tubes for tubing, Wimberly for a romantic anniversary dinner, and the outlet mall. We loved our starlit swims and late night chats by the beautiful pool. We hope to come back soon!

What a neat and cozy cabin! This is our 2nd trip. If you’re looking for a cozy and quiet get away, this is it!

This was the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed at. I went with my fiancé and our two dogs. Everything was perfect- we had privacy, easy access to local attractions including Westcave Preserve and Hamilton Pool, and the view is stunning. Hummingbird feeders line the porch and they are constantly being visited by the birds. Creek access requires some physical ability but is doable. The cabin itself had a master on the first floor and lofted second floor with two beds. The bathroom was clean and the refrigerator was stocked with bottled waters for us to drink. Patti and David are lovely people, and we look forward to coming back and staying again.

This is a wonderful ranch like get a way and it was just what we were looking to find. We are so tired of motels/hotels, crowded towns and streets. It is nice to just get out away from it all and enjoy the peace and quiet of the country. Birds, a deer, a turkey, and some wildflowers thrown in just added to the enjoyment . Resting on the patios in the evening looking at a dark sky full of stars was very relaxing. It is hard to describe the tranquility of the evenings we spent. It was an unexpected treat. So many sites close by to visit and see if you are inclined to do so. It was also nice that we were out away from it all and yet within a short distance of food, groceries and other amenities. Janet is the hostess with the Mostess. She was on top of everything! Super communications, super accommodations, and friends advice to help make our stay so enjoyable. OH, and sweet treats on our arrival that were very special! Thank you Janet!

This is a great place to stay. It is just as described. We would definitely stay here again.

In all my years of staying in really beautiful places all over the country, this perfect little cabin on the Medina River is maybe my favorite. I stayed for three nights and almost couldn't bear to leave. Even my dog was depressed when I started packing. The cabin is thoughtfully appointed--love all the 1950s, Wes Anderson-esque touches, including the record player, used books, puzzles, and games--but it's also comfortable, clean, quaint, and simple. The screened porch is where you will want to live, especially if you love delighting in the constant stream of hummingbirds. That is, when you're not enjoying every inch of the gorgeous surroundings. My dog and I spent many hours hiking the greenbelt, swimming in the sparkling river, sitting with the fireflies at dusk, meeting friendly neighbors (though you'll find mostly wonderful solitude), and photographing the butterflies, frogs, turtles, and birds. It's a true gem of a getaway, and I can't wait to return.

If you enjoy peace and quiet this is the place ! I could sit on the porch and watch the humming birds for hours. The property is beautiful and Brigitte & Shawn are wonderful host. We will definitely be coming back to visit.

This is the cutest, rustic cabin! Nestled in natural greenery, comfortable decor, and a relaxing River… my adult daughter and I floated, relaxed, and enjoyed our mini-holiday SO much! We ate at Myron’s, shopped, and enjoyed NB’s farmer’s market. My little pugs ran around and napped til their hearts were content. Five Stars! Thank you for having us, Amy!

Beautiful home in a quiet area. Enjoyed the area and local restaurants. Home was clean and comfortable with so many welcoming touches. Host was responsive and accommodating. Will stay again in the future!
