We had a lovely, relaxing time in the house. A real highlight are the large window fronts that allowed us to marvel at the New Year's Eve fireworks. Groningen is also light far away and perfect for a day trip. The only drawback for us was the fireplace, which does not give off much heat and wood for this must be brought along. All in all, a very nice place to stay. :-)

Fantastic place, very tastefully decorated, stylish down to the smallest details. Beautiful garden, silence, in the evening the starry sky. And a sauna to relax. This unique place is even more beautiful than the photos show. Casper and José welcomed us hospitably.

What a unique place to stay! We were delighted! So quiet, only the birds will hear. Very spacious cottage, tastefully decorated. We will definitely come back here if we are in the area! Thanks Meindert and Ellen! Ezinge is worth a walk around and stop at the old pub/eatery the turbulent mole for cup of coffee/lunch.

Lovely stay, very peaceful and ideally located for our climbing activity in Groningen. We also had a nice morning in Winsum. Whisk whilst not a problem to us, it’s worth noting that the only bedroom with clothes hanging space and a mirror is the main bedroom. The bathroom / shower is also only accessible through the main bedroom. Overall very comfy and well stocked, with very helpful hosts.

We had a lovely week with our two children (5 and 8 years) in the cottage on the Schildmeer. We were able to swim almost every day and otherwise explored the surroundings (Groningen, Appingedam, Delfzijl). The amenities are better than indicated: there is toilet paper, hand soap, hand and tea towels and a large selection of cooking utensils and spices in the kitchen. There is no oven, but a microwave where we prepared our casserole. We had a good time and say thank you very much!

The house has a lot to see in summer! An absolute dream with children! We didn't need to do much as we were busy all day with the pool and the many activities in the garden. There is a small cafe right around the corner and Groningen can also be reached in 10 minutes and offers many shopping opportunities. The house is very nicely decorated and there is a lot of space! Please take mosquito spray with you as it is right next to a field. We felt very comfortable ! Johann is very friendly and helpful. Our kids had so much fun and we as parents were able to relax well. In summer the house is a dream ! We would highly recommend it as a family. Thanks for having us as your guest 🧡
