What a beautiful home in a lovely area! Cathy was super responsive to any requests we had and very accommodating. We stay with extended family (12-16 people) often and this home was very spacious with a lovely separate area for the kids, including a ping-pong table. The very large yard with a decent amount of furniture and secluded office was a true bonus. I highly recommend this wonderful home in a country setting easily accessible to London. Our stay at this amazing piece of architecture and home was absolutely exceptional! From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by the thoughtful layout and impressive design. The space was vast and beautifully appointed, offering everything we could possibly need and more. The huge windows were a particular highlight, flooding the house with natural light and providing stunning views. Our daughter spent hours gazing out of them! The garden was another major plus, a true haven for our dog who had the time of his life. A special mention must go to Ester, the owners' friendly dog, who became a wonderful playmate. This house truly felt like a luxurious retreat, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We highly recommend it to anyone seeking a stylish, spacious, and pet-friendly getaway. Peter and Isabel were fabulous gost and nothing was too much trouble. The house was exactly as I expected it and value for money. As it was winter, the house was warm and comforting!

The house is a classic English country house. 5 min drive to the village, another 5 min drive to town but feels like you are deep in the country. Only 45-60 min from Heathrow. Charlie is a great host. Regularly available to connect and very friendly.

Ed’s place was a perfect home away from home whilst visiting family for Christmas. Ed is the perfect host and goes way and beyond to make you feel welcome. Brilliant communication and lovely touches including gifts, provisions in the fridge and a decorated Christmas tree were so thoughtful and very much appreciated. The house is well located for central St Albans, warm and cosy and provides everything you could possibly need for a family stay. Highly recommend and will definitely return when next we visit from Australia 🙌

Couldn't recommend a stay at Ruth's accomodation more!! I stayed for a weekend as I was attending a concert at Ally Pally; which is within a short walking distance. As soon as I entered the house, Ruth was very welcoming and showed me around the kitchen and my room. There was snacks and coffee I could help myself to in the kitchen if needed. The space was nicely layed out for me, with soap, shampoo, towels and everything needed for my stay. The room was just as described, with a large bed, fridge, kettle and bathroom. Many reviews do mention the nearby train track, the noise didn't personally bother me but it may do others. Very lovely stay and Ruth's daughter even offered to make me breakfast! Thank you for my wonderful and welcoming stay Ruth, I will definitely be returning for Alexandra Palace gigs :)

I stayed at Caroline’s flat for a night with my friend, the flat makes you feel at home , with all essentials to stay for a weekend or couple of more days . Great garden ! Highly recommended.

I highly recommend staying here, the hosts were lovely, the place was beautiful and clean and the village is gorgeous and peaceful. Our dog loved their garden and the massive field right behind their house. The Crown in Shillington is also a great pub for dinner. We’ll definitely keep Rebecca’s place in mind to visit in future!

Our stay with Paul was exceptional from start to finish. Paul gave us such a warm welcome and tour of the property. The place was laid out and designed brilliant and Paul has thought of everything from muffin's and prosecco to the hair straighteners You can tell Paul takes a lot of pride in hosting and the stay was absolutely perfect in a beautiful set with beautiful surroundings Very very good value for money..I would expect to pay alot more for what we had We will definitely be back very soon

Very peaceful place, hosts were super friendly and welcoming. Well appointed place they had thought of everything one might need for a relaxing stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at Brenda’s place and felt right at home from the start. The house was easy to find and very accessible via transport. Brenda’s instructions for the house and guide to nearby amenities were clear. While my daughter and her friend were participating in an activity locally (only 5 mins walk from Brenda’s which was great, no transport required!), my wife and I stayed in the house. We had no issues with laptop set-up and remote access. In the evenings, we went into the centre of London. The tube station (which we used mainly) was 10 mins walk from Brenda’s and buses were even closer. Brenda’s main room opens up to a wonderful back garden and it was lovely to take a stroll around it after work! Overall, we have no hesitation in recommending Brenda’s place and will be contacting her again if we are in the vicinity!

Staying at Evelina‘s place was a breath of fresh air. A peaceful and vibrant place in a safe neighbourhood. The place was very comfortable and felt like home. Evelina herself was a wonderful host and very helpful constantly communicating if we needed anything truly making it an easy stay. Will definitely look to book this place again.

For myself, partner and pooch. This was an emergency stop over as we were stranded with nowhere to go. We contacted Nat very very late at night, and our request was accepted which we were very happy for. We didn't manage to explore all of the facilities available to us. But what we did see and experience was nice. Colney is a lovely village/town. this accommodation is worth a visit.

Great accommodation, really enjoyed the stay. Host was super helpful, even with our random request for an additional throw. Will definitely be back again.

I have already booked to go back again for two weeks in June, that's how lovely this place is. Beautiful location, set on its own, on a farm, lovely and quiet with stunning outlook. The wood burner was very popular, Christine had already set it up ready for our arrival. Didn't get around to using the BBQ or Firepit Very comfy bed made it difficult to get up in the morning zzzz Thanks Christine and Mark for making us welcome.

We had a wonderful stay! The setting was absolutely beautiful—peaceful, scenic, and perfect for a romantic escape. There was so much to enjoy right at the accommodation—the aqua centre was a real treat, and we had great fun relaxing in the snooker room. The space was clean, cosy, and full of thoughtful touches that made it feel extra special. The hosts were incredibly responsive and made everything smooth from start to finish. We’d definitely come back and highly recommend it to couples looking for a romantic and relaxing stay in a unique location.

A simple, bright, spacious and immaculately clean studio in a peaceful setting. The village is quaint with many quiet walks and easy access to Cambridge and Saffron Walden. Elmdon also offers an opportunity to see great examples of the regions vernacular architecture, including thatched roofs, decorative pargeting, flintwork and timber framing. It's evident that hosting means more to Fiona than just money. It was a warming experience and we certainly hope to stay here again when we're back in the area.

It's exactly as the pictures are - lovely and quiet. Will was a really good host, very responsive and was super helpful when setting up the hot tub etc. The Airbnb is really well located for what we wanted, we spent the day at Bletchley Park which was great. If you're staying for more than a couple of nights and have the capacity to I would pack some extra pillows and cushions. The bed is pretty good considering that it's the table too. The perfect place for a short stay away!
