Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Herkimer County

It was a great set up for us. Very close to a small Adirondack town(Inlet), we ordered pizza and got ice cream about a mile from the home. As well, we stopped at the small grocery store and got some items. My son is obsessed with fishing, and there are plenty of spots very close by. The house was clean, and the Donna had it well stocked. The house is very comfortable and well suited for our weekend get-away. I would stay again.

We had a great stay. The house is very big, spacious, well decorated and clean. It felt very cozy. The house rules were clear and the host was reachable at any time.

Melissa's place was comfy, clean, and cozy. She thought of everything + when it came to the amenities. Only 20 minutes from Cooperstown village. There was a helpful guide book with local listings.

Our stay near Otto Lake was just what we were looking for: a family get away to celebrate the holiday. While the weather kept us from our outdoor plans, we were grateful for the spacious and comfortable interior to share a massive meal and enjoy each other’s company.

The house was exactly what is pictured. We have been here a few times and each time we were not disappointed. Could use a couple full size mirrors but other than that the place was immaculate and Cindy is very responsive and accommodating. I would highly recommend staying here.

Cute little house, it is older so has creaky floors and doors, but it has a lovely homey feel. Plenty of space for our family with the three bedrooms. And our little one year old loved all the children's books and toys.

Great host and beautiful place to stay! Everything was very organized and clean. Close to town and easily walkable distance to main strip of Old Forge. Was even greeted by some deer every morning! Would love to come back during summer to enjoy the fire pit and river in the backyard.

Comfortable, cozy stay, close to the lake, house was fully furnished with everything necessary especially in the kitchen. Quick responses from home owner and flexible which was convenient. Early check -in and late check-out was a plus also

A beautiful private little are to enjoy a modern feel in a rustic area. We truly enjoyed our stay and very clean, Nadia was great with being proactive with any potential issues l, great recommendations and a super easy check in, would stay again for sure.

Juan’s rental in Ilion was terrific! It was easy to locate and VERY clean. The house has been recently updated - everything is fresh and new. There was plenty of space for the three of us and it was great that we each had our own bathroom. The living/dining area was perfect for spending time together. The only challenge with this rental, pending how many vehicles you and those renting the other half of the house have, could be the parking. The driveway is narrow and steep and it can be difficult to get into/out of the couple of parking spots at the top (especially if driving a SUV sized vehicle). Just something to be aware of or ask about in advance if you have more than 1-2 vehicles. Juan was very communicative throughout our visit and was a great host.

Elise was always helpful and responsive. Riding snowmobile for the first time in Old Forge was great and finding the trail from this location was a breeze. The apartment was perfect for what I wanted; clean, new, private, even tall ceilings for a very open feel. So glad I chose this place over a motel.

My friends and I had a great stay. The house was nice and clean. The host was able to accommodate us with a later check up. I would definitely book again

We stayed in the Bergamot suite in the third floor which was a very nice loft slave. The furniture and decor were really nice and there was plenty of space for the three of us. The location was also great, with easy access to a grocery store and a very nice park in the city.

Good value for the money with small meaningful touches like a basket of children’s toys which were helpful. Would stay here again if we are in town. Easy in and easy out of town. It’s on the main drag and cheaper than an average motel.
