The Sunny House

This home has a vintage appeal. It was built in the mid 1900’s and is located on the north hill within walking distance of downtown Pendleton and the Pendleton Roundup Grounds. A detached garage sits next to the home and is also available for storage. The home is in a quiet neighborhood. It is an easy walk to the Umatilla Riverwalk, Roundup Grounds and downtown. We have two neighborhood parks. One is adjacent to a small neighborhood coffee shop and and cafe, 8 blocks from the house.

Welcome to McKay Creek Bunkhouse. We are located on McKay Creek 11 miles from the heart of Pendleton, Oregon. This 1900 bunkhouse is situated near the blue mountains and is recognized by the state of Oregon as part of our century farm which is still a working farm. Heart of Hermiston – Near Hospital!

It was perfect! The house was very spacious & clean. Great kitchen! The fenced in yard was a plus; my two pups had plenty of space to run around after being on the road for 24 hours. The kitchen was well stocked & we continued to find supplies that came in very handy during our stay. Bedrooms were spacious & comfy and bathrooms were the same. We travel to Hermiston a few times a year and, as we travel with our pups, this house is perfect! We were able to leave our pups kenneled while attending my grandsons graduation & party a couple of days later knowing our pups were safe in the home and hopefully not a bother to the neighbors. We did have an incident with our younger pup one day. He somehow managed to damage parts of the back door patio door treatment. We communicated this to Andrew and Tara, our hosts, and were put at ease with their reply which was ‘accidents happen’. We were able to pay the cost to replace the item & we’re happy to do so. We hope to be able to stay again soon!

such a beautiful stay. Has a ton of activities and the lake it's just beautiful. sad the pool wasn't open during our visit but over we had a wonderful stay. it is about 15 min out of town so make sure to go to the store beforehand haha

Very nice people house isn’t good neighborhood very nice and clean house and they are very respectful

The spacious bathroom is equipped with dual sinks and wooden cabinetry. A large bathtub is positioned under the window, providing natural light. A walk-in shower is located in one corner, and towels are neatly arranged on wall-mounted holders nearby.

Our cabin was cleaned and spotless It has both a/c and heater. Bed is comfortable. Small kitchenette has basic supplies. Bring your own spices. Parking space was not too far away. We used the hotel wagon. The bike path is 3 miles round trip. Good walking trails along the river. The hotel staff was friendly to checked us in. The food at Two barrels onsite restaurant is alright, friendly staff. The view from the cabin was spectacular, love the sound of water !
