Allison's place is magical! We stayed for a couple of months just after moving to Minneapolis, during our housing search. Her space is quaint and cozy, exactly like the pictures, and the building is true to its original character in its decor as well. Allison was a fabulous host -- she stocked the apartment well with fruit, coffee, and snacks for our arrival, and in general, we felt we always had what we needed during our stay -- a variety of cookware, cleaning supplies, additional linens, etc. We had no issues at all except for a minor plumbing one, and Allison had it resolved within a couple of hours. We loved the location - it is across the street from a beach, which seemed like a well-used, vibrant community spot. We spent time on the beach while it was swimming weather, and walked along the paths around it almost every day with our dogs. It was especially picturesque as the trees changed color and weather cooled. We loved our stay here and would gladly stay again!

It's a great location on Lake Street, close to top restaurants such as 6Smith and a short walk to shops and the beautiful Wayzata Bay. The unit is spacious and just as described. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and plan to return.

I had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb! The one-bedroom space was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. The shower was excellent, with great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The neighborhood felt very safe, which made my stay even more enjoyable. Communication with the host was smooth, and they were very accommodating. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and secure place to stay by the historic lake.

This is a nice apartment in a great area. We appreciated that it had parking, laundry and two bathrooms. The beds are firm and pretty comfortable and there is a smart TV that was great for us to log in and use our streaming services. A couple of notes to keep in mind: When looking for the apartment, it actually says "5B" rather than B5. Also, it has a small hot water tank so if you have more than one person taking a shower (or two super short showers) you will want to spread them out. I also wouldn't count on the couch as a bed- it's a bit lumpy. Overall, we were pleased with this spot. It was clean and quiet and worked well for our family of 4.

Allison’s place was great! Very cute vintage decor throughout the apartment and it felt very cozy and like home throughout my stay. Very easy to find and in a great location, was able to take a nice walk around the lakes every day. No issues with parking at all, there is plenty of street parking immediately outside the front door. Allison provided detailed instructions regarding check in on the day of my reservation which made the whole process easy.

Extremely Beautiful private lake!!!! The owner was extremely friendly and came to say hello. He told us about the lake and all of the features on his property. There were kayaks and my favorite, the canoe! We saw so much wildlife and beautiful views of nature! We spotted a bald eagle, snapping turtle, fish, lotus plants and cattails! There was a beautiful firepit that was a fun time! It was great to have a clean shower to jump into after the refreshing lake. The house was quaint, clean, and we had no problems keeping cool with the AC and Fans! I loved the natural woodwork and character of the space. My husband and I wanted to stay longer! Tons to do, boat rentals across the street, great restaurants and breweries, and an abundance of natural beauty, all in walking distance. We drove over to the next town to explore and couldn’t wait to return to the lake!

We had a great time at bowline. I appreciated the map of the floor, the clarity around amenities and the open shared spaces.

Pictures do not do this place justice! This beautiful house right on the river was a fantastic stay! Very quiet and peaceful, we had everything we needed and the house was spotless! Would definitely recommend and we will definitely be back!

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this totally unique, mid-century home. The furnishings and finishes in the entire home are on point. It was fun to give the kids a little history lesson on what type of architecture and style this place is crafted in -- they had never seen anything like it. The views from the home are really special - lake views out all the windows, two outdoor spaces to enjoy (weather dependent). It was a great space for our multi-generational family. There are spots with stairs and while this wasn't an issue for us, there is a main floor with 2 bedrooms, 1 bath and the kitchen in case going up or down is an issue. Communication with the host/manager was responsive and check-in/out were easy. If you're looking for a stay that you'll remember for many years to come, don't hesitate to book this home!

We loved the home! It was a beautiful place for me and my grown kids from different areas fly to and share a long weekend together. It was very spacious with lots of windows and beautiful views. Comfortable furniture, lots of great amenities. When we had a question, his response was super fast. The hot tub was clean and hot...the fireplace worked and was so lovely. We all agreed we'd love to come here next time! Highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay. It’s a good space for a larger group. While it’s in Excelsior, a very nice lake town, it’s not very walkable as it is sitting on a busy highway with no sidewalks.

Lovely home and felt right at home. Wonderful back yard for us and our dog. We were on the go the entire time we were up there but when we were at the home felt very welcoming and a great place to relax!! The neighborhood was very quiet and private and the neighbors we encountered on our walks with the dog were very kind. Would recommend this host and would stay with them again.

very safe location, beautiful scenery in the area right on the Mississippi river would definitely recommend staying here and if I go back in that area, this would be where I would choose to stay again
