Stylish Coastal Cottage Walk to Beach & SW Path

JennyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Eleanor’s cottage was perfect for our family of four. It is next to the creek and a very short walk to the pub and ferry. The cottage was great, with comfortable beds and everything we needed. We picked up some supplies on our way to the cottage at the supermarket in Helston, but the local shop in Helford was handy too. Parking was on the creek or up in a nearby car park (a 2 minute walk up the hill). We bought a ticket for the week and left the car there except on the days we were venturing further afield. We had such a great holiday and would definitely recommend this beautiful part of Cornwall and Eleanor’s lovely cottage!

Noah’s Ark Boatshed and Slipway

BlakeRating, 5 stars9 months ago
We had an absolutely amazing few days and highly recommend staying here. The location is so peaceful, with stunning panoramic views of the Helford River. The boathouse interior is well equipped with modern decor, as well as touches inspired by the older boathouse it was modeled after. The highlight for us was the easy access to the waterfront and use of the kayaks. If you enjoy paddling across the river in the late afternoon and unwinding with a cozy cup of tea at sunset, this is the ideal place.

Trelowen, self-contained apartment - Helford River

MariaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We had a lovely stay at Trewince House, would highly recommend it. The apartment was clean, comfortable and tidy, with a comfy bed and a hot shower. The kitchen was well equipped, the lounge is light and airy. The apartment is part of a beautiful house, with a large attractive garden, perfectly situated to enjoy the peaceful location, and starry nights, weather permitting. A very narrow lane approaches the house but it’s not too long. Port Navas is a little jewel just waiting to be discovered. Susan gave us good local knowledge for walks, places to eat etc, and was always quick to respond to any queries. We can highly recommend the delightful little PN Yacht Club, where dress is casual, the food and ambience really good. Special mention to Melissa who makes everyone feel welcome. Would definitely book in advance. Had delicious fish and chips at the Ferry Boat Inn. Would also recommend a cruise with Hetty, from Helford River Cruises, who was friendly and knowledgeable.

Cornish rural retreat, Helford River area

JadeRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Starting with the hosts - Shelly and Rodg were approachable, responsive, helpful in the lead up to the booking and during my stay. It was nice to know that they were close, yet the Jam Shed still allows privacy from the main house. The jam shed is welcoming, well kitted out, clean and spacious! Perfect for a solo traveller or a couple. I felt right at home and had everything I needed. It’s about a 15-20 min drive to the beach, but as it’s set within a green/forestry area, I was able to go for walks without moving the car if I wanted. Cute little rabbits and squirrels roaming about freely really shows that Shelley and Rodg have made a space that welcomes the wildlife. Soap, cloths, washing up liquid are all eco friendly which was wonderful to see. I got my instructions with plenty of time to plan my journey and the hosts were flexible to my needs. I have already shared the link with some friends who I think will love to stay here! And I will definitely be booking again!
