There is a public boat launch within 1 min drive and dock at the house to tie boats off. 3 Fishing poles will be available for guest to use on the dock. The lake is excellent for Largemouth bass, Blue catfish, Freshwater drum, Channel catfish, Flathead catfish, Black crappie, White crappie and others. Fire pit in back yard along with grill to BBQ!

The Red House on Cross Lake

This is a Cross Lake cabin that we renovated from an old catfish restaurant built in the early 1930's. We call it the RED HOUSE. There are three cabins on the property that we also use for visiting family and friends. We live on the property behind the houses and we all use the property and pier. Guest also have use of the pier/boat house. The house is at the end of the road on the lake. Although family also uses the property the cabin is quiet and private with a great view of the open lake.

Very nice and private property although in a neighborhood. Fenced in yard was perfect for the kiddos. House was perfect for us! Plenty to do and see in the area. Hosts were super friendly and gave clear instructions on check in and check out. Will be coming back for further vacations

Doesn’t get better than this. Just 20 minutes outside of Shreveport/Bossier and you are right on Lake Bistineau. The waters edge it right outside your window. Absolutely beautiful.
