Excellent Staff! Very well maintained premises, neat and clean but the highlight has to be the staff. The host was very prompt and helpful, prior to and throughout the stay. A little out of the way and secluded.Not much to do around the property, but that's why we loved it. Better with your own vehicle for transport. Pls do get the staff to prepare your meals, the best food we had on our trip to SL. Would definitely stay at pineapple Villa on my next trip to SL. Thank you Tushari, Hema and Randini.

We had a great stay at Firefly with our two kids. The house is beautifully decorated and very comfortable for a group of four. The pool is delightfully refreshing after walking back up from the village. We saw a grey langur monkey the morning we left which made our day! The owner was away while we were there but left lots of tips and the manager was super friendly and very responsive when the power went out in the area. We loved Hiriketiya off season - it was our favourite part of Sri Lanka. Highly Recommended.

First of all, I would like to thank the service staff, they are very helpful and friendly. The villa and furniture are very beautiful and elegant, one of the most beautiful villas we have visited, but there are some comments. The price is very high compared to the area, and there is a very, very large problem with flies, and I think it is because of the adjacent land, which is full of dirt. Also, the curtains in the bedrooms do not block the sun well, and there is no air conditioning in the sitting area or in the kitchen.

Gads Villa is a truly magical place. The gardens are exquisitely landscaped, and the giant Velvet Apple tree is really a wonder to behold. The pool has a shallow section which is perfect for little ones, or for adults to lounge in. The kitchen is huge and had everything we needed (important when traveling with 4 youngsters!). The bathrooms are likewise huge and very prettily set out. Beds are comfortable and the fans were sufficient to keep us cool at night. The neighborhood is very quiet and safe, a few minutes tuk tuk ride into the main part of town. I personally found it very convenient to have yoga and a little spa within a few minutes walk. Secret Beach is also only a short walk away. Sahan and team were super helpful, and breakfasts were delicious. All in all a fabulous stay.

The place was really nice . It felt cozy and we stayed without any disturbance . Don is a great host , very helpful and he made our trip pretty smooth. Would love to visit again.

We had a stellar stay at Lilypad. Jamie & Angela made sure to take care of everything from before check-in to after check-out. The villa is beautiful with a lovely pool one can relax by. Everything is spotless clean. Pamod, the housekeeper is super. He's efficient, non-intrusive and helps with anything you ask for. I highly recommend Lilypad!

Great place, especially the pool, AC and fans. Well located within short walking distance of Ahangama main street. Close to Rolling Pin (200m), which is a great bakery - can recommend the croissants and brownies. Also close to O Yummy, a restaurant serving fabulous Lebanese food, including delivery at a small extra cost (300LKR) - beats Uber Eats. Also convenient to both Pilates studios in Ahangama, being Pura Pilates and Ulu Pilates. With all of these amenities close, it is still private, quiet and well set up with very helpful host, including his family helping out. The pool is an absolute bonus when you get hot ‘n sweaty and the hot water to rinse after is lovely. Would recommend without hesitation for a great stay in Ahangama, or on the South Coast generally.

We stayed three nights in the AirBnB and had a great time! The AirBnB is quietly located and has a beautiful garden. The house is very clean and the kitchen has everything you need. We were very satisfied. Dilan's wife brought us a snack twice, which we found very nice. She also took care of our clothes and the scooter when it rained. Communication with Dilan was great and we would recommend anyone to spend a few days here.

We spent a whole month in this house and were delighted! Spacious, cozy, with a lovely chill area by the river where you can relax and enjoy nature. I especially liked the rooftop – the perfect place to do yoga. The kitchen is fully equipped, so it was convenient to cook. The beds in the bedrooms are comfortable, slept great. The beach is only a 5-7 minute walk and the surf spot in Weligama is about 25 minutes away. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we are grateful to the hosts for their hospitality!

Spent 3 nights at Josephine's place. The place was super nice, spacious and had a great roof terrace. In addition, the recommendations were great - here Josephine put together a nice document that you should definitely read through. Also, the price was very fair. I highly recommend it. is a little off the beach but there is a small, cute shop right around the corner and a super delicious family-run restaurant (Humbhaha Ahangama) within walking distance. For most other things, it's better to take a tuktuk. Here you should definitely pay attention to the recommendation from the document, Anoura was just great :)! My only negative point is that it is a bit close to the railway line and can be a bit noisy at times - but that didn't bother us. Highly recommended!

I had a fantastic experience staying at Fathima’s place! The home was spotless and exactly as described in the listing. The bed was super comfortable, and all the amenities (Wi-Fi, kitchen supplies, etc.) were top-notch. Check-in was seamless, and communication with the host was fast and friendly. The location was perfect—close to everything especially jungle beach, but still quiet and relaxing at night. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touches like fresh towels and local recommendations I’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

I enjoyed my time a little off the beaten path in the middle of the countryside! The property is like a small wonderful, green oasis and is very tastefully designed. Gianluca and the rest of the staff were very friendly and I immediately felt welcome and comfortable. Gianluca also gave me super helpful tips around Ahangama and was always easily accessible - a great host!

This villa is something wonderful. All the details are perfect, beautiful and sophisticated. The bedrooms are fantastic, the swimming pool is amazing, the garden itself is a gem. And the staff! The housekeeper Sasun with the other guys, runs the villa in à perfect way: they are available for every request, helpful and incredibly skilled! We had many meals at home and it was definitely better than at the restaurants! The position is really good. You can walk in the nature up to the main road, Matara road, where many small restaurants are, or ask the staff to call a tuk tuk. Galle fort is about 30' away! Stephen the owner, is promptly reacting and helpful. Despite the weather in June, to stay in villa Vador has been an amazing experience and I can't wait to come once again! Thanks to Stephen and the staff for having made my holiday so relaxing!

We (family of four with young kids) came across this house and loved it, but it didn’t have a bed for our one year old daughter, so we sent Vic a message and he went out of his way to find one. Great start! When we got there, the house was even better than the pictures give away: private villa on the quiet outskirts of Ahangama, but a five minute tuk tuk ride will get you to the town’s centre where all the restaurants and such are. Modern bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, nice kitchen and living room, beautiful pool, huge patio with a roof over it, monkeys in the trees in the morning etc. etc. I contacted Vic several times during our stay and always got quick replies with great advice - places to eat, tuk tuk drivers, surf coach and places to see. Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again myself some day!

We had a fantastic stay at the villa in Mihiripenna! The property is even more beautiful than in the photos—spacious, clean, and surrounded by nature, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The pool and garden were perfect for unwinding, and the location was ideal—just a short walk or tuk-tuk ride to the beach and nearby restaurants. A special mention goes to Nimal, the villa’s cook, who treated us to absolutely delicious meals every day. Each dish was full of flavor and made with so much care—it truly elevated our experience and made us feel right at home. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy the south coast in comfort and style!

The house was even more beautiful than the photos. We had a very nice stay there. The host was very helpful and gave us everything we needed. He also gave us the number of a tuktuk driver near us for when we wanted to go to the town of Unawatuna or Galle Fort. Thank you for everything!

Awesome place to stay, relax and spend time with the groups. Has full kitchen with all the necessary vessels, cutlery, utensils. The House id equipped with all the necessary stuff right from board games to smallest knifes and felt like home.

We really loved our stay at Monika‘s guesthouse. The one-bedroom house is situated right at Koggala Lake, so we were surrounded by pure nature and the sounds of the jungle. The location is very peaceful. There is a joint restaurant closeby but still the house feels quite private. The house provides everything you need: bed linen, TV, a fully equipped outdoor kitchen, enclosed bathroom and a washing machine. However if you need anything, the staff is very helpful. It‘s the perfect place if you are looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the town and love to stay in nature in a calm environment. We would have loved to stay longer. We definitely can recommend it and are looking forward to coming back here.

The best thing about August beach house is it's location..sits right on the beach with lots of nice bars, restaurants and surf schools nearby. The staff were very kind and courteous and they keet the place squeaky clean through out our stay.

We LOVED our stay at Hiriketiya Studios. Nishan was such an incredible host—he went far above and beyond in his hospitality. The place itself is lovely and peaceful with a gorgeous pool and high quality kitchen equipment for cooking. Location wise, it’s in a perfect spot, totally walkable to Hiriketiya or Dickwella beach, cute cafes, big grocery store, and even to snorkeling with turtles.
