We live down a quiet country lane giving the feeling of a rural location, but within a few miles of Matlock. It offers the freedom of modest self-catering accommodation, ideal for short breaks, the minimum stay is 2 nights. Ford Farm is good for couples and solo or business travellers, but limited to two peopIe. It is an ideal base for walking, cycling and exploring the Peak National Park

Myself and my partner had the loveliest 3 nights spent here, it was a great location to explore some nearby hikes of the Peak District and had everything that we needed! The annexe was beautiful, we throughly had the best couple of nights! We definitely would use this again in the near future to spend some more time exploring the nearby villages, & hiking spots. My best stay ever in the UK! Highly recommend! Fiona is very nice and let us use her kitchen and all the stuff there, makes us feel very comfortable. Because local food doesn't agree with us, so that's really important to us that landlord don't mind us using their kitchen to cook food. Paul is the most amazing man we've met in the UK. Not only because he kindly showed us his back yard and all his lovely flowers, delicious fruits and cute hens, but a unique charm about him. In him, one finds a rare harmony between Western and Eastern ways of balanced living. By the way, the room was very spacious, clean and private, I would definitively choose to live again when back here. Wish my landlords all the best!

We didn't get off to a good start because I hadn't received the code. We messaged the previous week to inform our arrival time but received no response. Standing outside the door, phone number listed didn't work. Messaged host, who did respond quickly with an alternate number and name. ( I hadn't received the phone call or message, which came through the following day) We called the new person, Jamie and he provided the code. Place is nicely decorated and clean. Very nice welcome basket, thanks! More instructions, for appliances, switches, lights, trash, recycling, TV, etc would have been nice.

I had the pleasure of staying at this impeccably maintained home in Walton, a quiet and respectable enclave on the edge of Chesterfield. The house itself was an absolute delight — immaculately clean, thoughtfully laid out, and superbly equipped. Every aspect of the home has been designed with care and consideration. The furniture is not ostentatious, but it is exceptionally comfortable, functional, and chosen with a discerning eye for detail. What stood out most to me was Sally’s extraordinary attention to the smallest things. Every possible need had already been anticipated and met. The kitchen in particular was one of the best-stocked I’ve encountered in a rental — not only in terms of equipment but also in the generous complimentary provisions, which were deeply appreciated. After al week in older properties, staying here felt like a genuine reprieve. While the broader surroundings reflect a town in decline, the home was wonderfullt modern tidy and cozy in a respectable suburb.
