A typical Finnish cottage (55.8 sq.m) was built in 1972 and completely renovated in 2014, preserving the authentic atmosphere. The nearest shop or gas station is 25 kilometers away. We live behind the forest 200 meters from the cottage all year round. The location of the cottage is unique in that, on the one hand, you feel complete freedom and privacy, on the other hand, we are always around and ready to help and communicate if you wish. Our plot and garden are always open to our guests.

The cottage is located about 45 km from Jyväskylä. The nearest stores are located in Hankasalmi (about 10 miles away). Paanala Island is one of the 36 quiet areas in Central Finland. Kayaks, sub-boards, a rowing boat, and a tramboline are in use. Drinking water for the cabin comes from a well.

Saari Lokonen - private island & log cabin

It´s always Sunday on the island! Saari Lokonen is a calm private island in the middle of Finland (near Etelä-Konnevesi national park). Rowing boat, two kayaks and a canoe available for free during the vacation. The car must be left on the mainland. Rowing distance to the island 300m Honka cottage built in 1997. Bathroom & sauna renovated in 2017. There are no other cabins on the island. Running water comes from the lake, not drinkable.
