Family-friendly vacation rentals in Handbridge

Thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay celebrating my birthday and catching up with friends. The location was awesome, very tranquil and peaceful, the house itself had ample room for the four of us and everything catered for. We spent Saturday walking in the nearby Clwydian Range (Moel y Gamelin circular route), and what better way to ease achy legs, was the hot tub and a few relaxing beers. If you're looking for a very relaxing getaway, this is a place for you. we would definitely visit again. Diolch Iola

Had a lovely long weekend in Clawdd Offa Farm. Photos of the property were plentiful and accurate and communication with Ben was easy. The house itself is comfortable and well kitted out with some lovely touches. The tranquil location and the hot tub really made our college reunion trip special. And there was a fab little welcome basket on arrival. Definitely recommend!

A wonderful stay as a group. Dylan and Sian were lovely host and were available anytime we needed. The house was warm and cosy, the perfect environment for us all. The hot tub was great and they were lovely and relaxed about our stay. The dogs loved the area and there was so many walks nearby to take them on. Thanks again, and hope to come back soon

We had the best stay at this gorgeous house in the middle of the countryside. Sophie was very responsive in advance and Lisa met us on arrival and was so friendly showing us around and making us feel at home. We were a group of ten and the house had so many rooms to explore but also large enough rooms to fit us all in at once including the breakfast room, living room, games room and main dining room. Sophie recommended a local caterer who cooked us a delicious three course dinner in the main dining room which felt really special. The outside area was perfect for our afternoon tea and treasure hunt with amazing views of the countryside and wisteria starting to come out. The kitchen had a huge selection of crockery and glasses including serving plates and cake stands. The hot tub was a great addition to relax in during the evening. We did a short walk down to the canal and pub (The Shady Oak) and hired a canal boat at the Tattenhall marina only 5 mins drive away. We all loved it!

Lovely little place. Loved the hot tub and the swinging chairs on the balcony. So peaceful! Had everything we needed for our stay. Gary was very helpful and friendly and communication was great. Would definitely recommend! Carlito's pizza, a 2 minute walk outside The Park Place Pub is a must too. Absolutely delicious.

An amazing visit. The place was perfect for what we wanted, being able to enjoy the sun in the garden, hot tub in the evening, kitchen and dinning area suitable for cooking and hosting for a large group and very comfy beds. Host was fantastic, check in and out details very clear, although nearby didn't feel overlooked at all and came over to offer to set up the outdoor seating area and bbq for us as the weather was great! Looked at recommendations in the area before going, went for food at small plates in Ruthin, canoed the aqueduct and went on a walk suggested in the airbnb folder! Would highly recommend and would visit again!

Perfect weekend away! The cottage was exactly as described. Was clean and very spacious! There was complimentary Welsh cakes with jam and milk in the fridge which are lovely touches! Views were breathtaking! Martin was so friendly. Was there when I arrived and welcomed me in and gave me some tips on the local town! Overall lovely experience. Would definitely book again!

The house was beautiful and very well located. Will definitely consider staying again but maybe in the spring/summer as we found the house a little cold in the evenings/overnight.

Great two nights stay, while visiting family member in Chester Uni (only 20 min from Chester). Comfortable and fully equipped. My old two dogs enjoyed fully fenced garden. Welcome goodies -wine, pastry, milk and dog biscuits- much appreciated!! Picturesque village with lots of walks and lovely atmosphere- Holt castle within walking distance. Nice host, clear instructions, easy to find. Highly recommended.

Krásné, prostorné ubytování v malé zahradě, do které jsme mohli jít relaxovat. Dům stojí na zcela klidném místě, blízko zastávky do centra města i na letiště (stejný autobus č. 82). Coriinne i její manžel byli velmi milí a vstřícní nad rámec svých povinností. Matrace pružinové, pohodlné, kuchyň čistá a dobře vybavená, chyběla jen trouba. Byli jsme velmi spokojení. Mirka

The cottage is incredible beautiful! Had everything we needed. Very friendly and helpful hosts! Ann’s welcome cake was delicious 🫶🏻 Also the surrounding area is peaceful and very beautiful. Absolutely perfect apartment. Beautifully furnished and exceptionally equipped with all you need for a relaxing break. Very clean and bright. Every inch is aesthetically pleasing and lots of interesting magazines and books to relax with. With two bedrooms and 2 bathrooms it is excellent value. There were so many thoughtful extras provided too. Plenty of high quality coffee, tea and other beverages. Fresh milk, bread, butter and fruit as well as cereals, spreads etc. Sue is a very lovely hostess and made sure we had a great stay. All set in a fabulous village location in the Cheshire countryside. 100% Recommend a stay here.

A lovely little house in a really nice neighbourhood. Walked into Hoole within about 12-15 minutes, really good sized Sainsbury’s and some really cosy pubs, The Faulkner Pub was a real find and food to die for. Got a taxi into Chester centre for around £6.50, only a 5 minute drive away. House lovely and warm , comfortable beds and lots of wardrobe space. Most definitely would return in the future.

Amazing, quirky, new meets old, vintage apartment in a perfect lication to the train station and all that Liverpool has to offer. Close to shops, amazing cafes, pubs and restaurants and museums. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it highly. The host Miranda couldnt have been more helpful

This house was perfect for our needs - neat, tidy, clean, and within reach of everything we needed. Local takeaways and restaurants are close by, and serve good food - Nick left us a helpful guide to the best in the area. As a host, Nick has been very accommodating and friendly, and it was great to have a long stay in his lovely home. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone visiting the area - not in the city centre, but all the better to get a local feel, and still only a short distance to the big attractions. We had a lovely long weekend and a cozy stay. We all slept well as the beds were really comfortable. We loved the original features of the cottage and the view from the window of horses in the local field. David was a friendly and helpful host but also gave us our space and privacy :)
