Family-friendly vacation rentals in Hakaniemi

We spent a wonderful week at Ami’s cottage and had a fantastic time relaxing in the hot tub and sauna. Ami was an excellent host, maintaining clear and prompt communication throughout our stay. Highly recommended!

Modern style home in a beautiful and peaceful location. Great design elements including furniture and floor to ceiling windows. We loved relaxing with the tranquil views and enjoyed time on the lovely covered deck area. It was wonderful to eat outside even when occasionally drizzling and not worry about getting wet. Hosts were very responsive and friendly. We were able to buy all of the food we needed at the tiny market a couple of blocks from the home.

Very nice house, which is perhaps even better live than in the pics. In addition, Jari is a very polite and friendly host. The entire group of ours was very pleased with everything. I can warmly recommend the house and the host!

Oula’s place was just right for our requirements. As a party of four all requiring separate rooms, it fitted us perfectly. Lovely peaceful surroundings and a short drive from the centre of Helsinki. The place is stunning with lots of things to do inside. The BBQ was a great touch and the sauna and jacuzzi worked great. Our first impressions of Finland were made greater by staying here!

Our stay at Marju and her husband's place went wonderfully well. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by the very kind Marju who cared about our well-being. The accommodation is impeccable and is even better than in the description and the place is beautiful and magical. In the heart of a large forest area, we feel in communion with nature and animals. The accommodation is secluded in the forest and we are very quiet. We loved spending time at this listing and enjoyed the exchanges with Marju and her husband who are two lovely people. The sauna and wood-fired cooking (bbq available) (an axe to cut wood is even available if you want to bring out your lumberjack soul) immerse us in an atmosphere of adventure that we really enjoyed. If we manage a little, we can cook. A fridge is available I hope to return one day!!! 🫶

The place matched the description well. The cottage was well-equipped and located in a quiet area. We came by public transportation and it was easy to find the station. The yard was beautiful in early spring and it was nice to grill before a dip in the hot tub. We had a great time in the urban cottage.

The apartment was really spacious and well suited for a family of four. The location was great. Daniel was helpful and responded quickly to our questions.

I highly recommend this place! We stayed with 4 Adults and one baby, we spent time there like a real home. They offered not only a cod, but also high chair and lots of toys, which my son really enjoyed. Anastasia is very nice person. She welcomed us warmly, and she always responded our message very quickly when we had a question. She made our first vacation in Helsinki unforgettable :)

We were very satisfied with the accommodation. It is in a good location and the owner was always very helpful and everything went without a problem. Everything we needed was available and it was hassle free.

We had a great stay at Sampsa's place. We were welcomed in in person and made to feel right at home. The apartment was cosy and we enjoyed using the projector to watch films. there were swings nearby for our child to play, and a beautiful lake to walk around.

We found this house perfect for a "workation", as we enjoyed the beautiful lake and the garden, as well as the living room for working from our laptops. There's an amazing amount of natural light, the house has warm colors, and nice plants. We recommend trying the boat, it's very fun.

Very interesting old wooden house close to a beautiful sea, a nice cafe and the very loud railway. Close to the center. Magda was very nice!

Very nice House with great equipment. The location was only 30 min away from Helsinki. It’s a nice spot for people to stay in nature and could visit the capital. The Sauna at the lake was really nice. You can jump afterwards in a very clean lake. Anni was a really nice host. We got every information.

Iiris and Josh’s place was clean, comfortable, and perfect for our trip. We were traveling with a young toddler, and our hosts provided essentials as well as some thoughtful toys for her. We enjoyed walking around the city during our stay, but it is also fast and easy to get around using the tram stops nearby. Iiris and Josh were very responsive to messages in the app, and everything we needed to know was covered in the detailed house manual.

Everything is as promised in the listing. I have stayed at several other properties in the area in more recently built apartments; compared with them, I found the ambience of this building from the 1800s worth experiencing (since it is renovated to include all modern conveniences). It also stayed a bit cooler in the summer heat and was more spacious.

The apartment is beautiful, cozy and very spacious. Outstanding cleanliness! It has all the necessary kitchenware and the beds are large and very comfortable. Communication with Johanna and Javier was easy and fast at all times. We had a problem with the reservation and we were able to fix it without any problems. They were also flexible with our departure, even though other tenants were coming in that same afternoon, which is appreciated. The neighborhood is very nice and quiet, but very well connected, with a supermarket 50 m away and restaurants nearby. It is only 10 minutes from the train station and a large shopping area. If we go back to Helsinki, we'll repeat for sure!

Apartment is very individually furnished. Nice contact with Antti, who also picked us up from the ferry. The area in which the apartment is located is very accessible by tram from the center.

If you want a traditional cabin in the woods with mod cons then this is the place for you. The cabin is ideally located to explore all of Southern Finland, and when you're done for the day the supermarket is either on your way back or a 5 minute detour. The location is quiet and peaceful. We were lucky with the weather so were able to sit out most evenings with a glass of wine and enjoy the serenity. The cabin has everything you need, and the bathrooms have been well thought through. Matti offers use of the Hot Tub, and Boat for a small fee, and the first pack of logs fort the sauna or wood stove are included. The lake is literally 50m from the door, but you are far enough away that the Mosquitoes aren't a problem. Although we don't have children the extra touches for children are great.
