The Cottage Small but Nice

A very lovingly furnished small house to feel good. Everything is fine - as described. I was also very kindly welcomed. I also especially liked that the small house inside was always cool around 30-32 degrees despite external heat.... although I didn't have air conditioning on. Gladly again and again. Thank you very much.

This is a nice and clean flat in the city center of Subotica. It’s close to the city hall and actually you can see the city hall tower from the bedroom window. The historical buildings are all within walking distance. The host is kind and hospitable and offered timely help to us when we ran into a little trouble. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this flat to anyone who wants to come to Subotica.

I must say it was the best vacation we have ever booked through Airbnb. The private pond is very special, which we also used every day. In addition, there is a real pool. I also found the herd of sheep to the neighboring property, which you could pet. Furthermore, there are 4 cats on the property, so if you have children, there is always one to play. Very good Hungarian restaurants are nearby, which are great value for money. The hosts Susann, Othmar and Tibor are super nice, know each other and try to make everything possible. I recommend having a trip organized by carriage. Here you are guided by a local through forests and the children are even allowed to steer themselves. Overall, I highly recommend the hosts and the property.

The weather was rough this time but the kids still enjoyed themselves. The ponies stayed closer to the house where they were easier to pet and the children enjoyed playing with some of the indoor toys. The picnic area at the house stays dry in the rain so it continues to be possible to be outside even in poor weather. I think there were more swallows (small birds) out in the rain than I have seen before. I recommend the path that goes between the public park and the Orthodox Church near by for bird watching. Overall good to be back. I appreciate diligence of the owners to fix things when normal house issues come up once in a while. We look forward to returning rain or shine🙂

This place was just simply amazing, there was so much space, had all the home appliances so you can cook food, there is a sauna to use which was simple and easy, Lajos was a great host, made me feel at home and replied almost immediately to any questions. I hope to stay again next time for few days instead of just one night it was that great.

We were really looking forward tochecking in at our place! The host Zsuzsi is very friendly,kind and helpful! When we arrived, she greeted us with a surprise! The small "villa" is very cozy,tidy and clean. It is the best place for everyone, in a very quiet place. We had a great time staying here for a week. I can only recommend it to everyone! View of the Danube, a beautiful and quiet environment, the beach is easily accessible on foot (about 15 minutes) and the house is very nicely furnished. Everything you need is available in the house, in good shape and clean. When we found that the washing machine was not working properly, Attila was immediately on hand and replaced it. A great service, thank you again! The property is fenced all around, which is very good if you have a dog with you. Taking the dog to the beach is also no problem, there is enough space and no one is bothered by the presence of dogs, everything totally relaxed. There are plenty of shops and restaurants in the area, Aldi, Lidl and Co. can be reached in 10 minutes by car. If you have any questions, Attila is always available and extremely helpful.

Lovely slice of peace and tranquility, loved the view from the house and decking. Hot tub was nice to use in the evening. We were also visited by a deer, which was a bonus. 7 mins drive from supermarket to stock up and then make an escape.

We were happy to be back at Ian & Maura’s again. We were able to get a Christmas Tree at the weekly market. It was both cold enough to snow (and build a snowman) and warm enough to bike during our stay. At one point all of the trees frosted throughout town(very beautiful). Previously we hadn’t realized what an important site Stara Moravica is for owls in winter. There is a sign in front of the local school with information on the owls that migrate from all over Europe. It was not uncommon at dusk to see as many as five giant owls leaving their roosts for the night on the walk back from the local grocery store. We timed our grocery shopping so the kids would be able to watch for owls on the way back. Our nine year old found a bird identification book on the shelf in the living room and enjoyed trying to identify the other birds in the trees in the yard. Laszlo was helpful and friendly as usual. We look forward to returning the end of February.
