In a word— perfection. The place was beautiful and immaculate. Maaike and Mark were responsive, friendly, and very helpful. Maaike’s prints are beautiful and we went home with some to share with our friends. What a find!

We enjoyed our stay at Max' place massively. The location is ideal, where both free parking and the city center are in walking distance. The home is beautifully designed and the most complete equiped Airbnb I have ever been in. Max responded fast and provided a lovely guide with local recommendations.

Hello, we had a warm welcome when we arrived, and Anita waited for us, because we were a little late at arriving. Very kindly to us. We are 3 older couples and we felt us immediately at home. Everything was there what we need for our stay. The most time we cooked in the good kitchen, wonderful to eat in the nice living room. The neighborhood is very silence, the northsee is 5 km away, haarlem 2,3 km. We really enjoyed our stay. Rainer

Taco war sehr freundlich und hat uns im Haus empfangen, er musste dafür etwas warten weil wir im Stau standen, war aber sehr entspannt als wir ankamen, hat uns alles gezeigt und die Schlüssel übergeben. Er war auch während des Aufenthaltes erreichbar und immer freundlich, unkompliziert und hilfsbereit. Das Haus war wie beschrieben und auf den Fotos zu sehen. Die Gegend ist sehr ruhig und gepflegt, und außerdem perfekt, um von dort aus schnell überall hinzukommen, nach Bloemendal an den Strand, nach Haarlem oder nach Zandvoort oder vom Bahnhof aus schnell und günstig nach Amsterdam. War eine schöne Urlaubswoche dort, gern wieder.

This house was a gem of a find! We loved staying right on the water (and despite the cold, our son loved swimming), having access to the boat (which we took to dinner one night!), and just the peace and relaxation of watching the water and boats go by. You feel like you’re in the middle of no where, and yet we were a very short drive to all that we wanted to do - Keukenhof, Zaanse Schans, Amsterdam, and even the coast! We walked to get coffee in the mornings and enjoyed the walk and the town. We also love that it’s dog friendly! We changed our minds last minute and didn’t take our dog along, but we were wishing we had. He would’ve loved the canal and boat!

We enjoyed our vacation at Kim‘s home very much. We had enough space and all rooms are beautiful furnished. The little garden was also a nice place to sit and relax after a day at the beach or a walk through beautiful city of Haarlem.

Contact with Merel was easy and open. During our stay responsive when needed but not intrusive. Easy going. Flexible in terms of check in and out. Did her best to let us feel at home. The garden and the seating area is a big plus in this house. Next to the location - near a park (great for the dog) and walking / bike distance of Haarlem centrum. A house with a nice atmosphere!

Our time in the houseboat was great. We didn't miss anything. The house is very modern and comfortably furnished and the kitchen is fully equipped. Our children used the beautiful garden with its trampoline whenever possible. A particular highlight was the SUP board that we were allowed to use. A lot of fun in the morning to go for a lap on the canal right after breakfast. The reception and the farewell by Winnis dear neighbors made everything perfect. A great houseboat, a great environment, a great host.

Le logement est très bien, le quartier agréable. Le propriétaire est à l’écoute et répond immédiatement aux sollicitations. Je recommande tout particulièrement ce logement.

We hebben met ons gezin (opa, oma, kinderen en kleinkinderen) een erg geslaagd weekend gehad in deze accommodatie. Binnenshuis genoeg ruimte en ook de tuin had meerdere terrassen en speel accommodaties. Goed beschut. Een dikke plus natuurlijk voor het overdekte zwembad. Kortom: een aanrader!

We loved our stay on the house boat and cannot recommend it enough! It was incredible to stay on the water and watch all the boats and rowers go by. The house boat is conveniently located between two stations, and the WiFi worked great for remote work and taking calls. The hosts were so quick to respond and so helpful. Do yourself a favor and book this amazing house boat!!

Logement complet, bien équipé, dans un environnement calme atypique et reposant. Lieu vraiment idyllique qui en met plein la vue. Location avec équipement complet pour rester sur place et passer un agréable séjour en famille…. Bateau, paddle, kayaks, trampoline, vélos, barbecue, jacuzzi, jouets pour les enfants. Joli village calme propre et agréable. Le logement correspond parfaitement à la description. À proximité d’Amsterdam et à la fois complètement dépaysant. Je recommande vivement.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The house is exactly as shown in the photos – spotless, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. The surroundings are calm and peaceful, making it the perfect place to relax. Near the center (the public transportation is a 5 minute walk away) The host was fantastic: very kind, super communicative, and always available if we needed anything. Everything was clearly explained, and he made sure we had access to all the amenities. This place is truly a hidden gem – the quality you get for the price is outstanding. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Kurzurlaub mit der ganzen Familie. Der Zugang zum Wasser direkt vom Garten aus ist sensationell

Wir haben uns in dem Gartenhaus sehr wohl gefühlt. Es ist schön eingerichtet und bei gutem Wetter ist die Gartennutzung ein Traum. Einziger Minuspunkt: die offene Toilette und Dusche im Schlafzimmer und das fehlende Waschbecken im Bad. Das ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig.

We spent a wonderful family Christmas in this beautiful home in a really lovely neighbourhood. The house was spotless and very well equipped. Pamela was always on hand to answer any questions and provided very comprehensive instructions. The Christmas tree being there made it feel really homely. The location was great with easy access to Haarlem and Amsterdam as well as the beach. We would return for sure!

Ideale plek om Haarlem, de duinen en Amsterdam te verkennen met kinderen. Zeer kindvriendelijk en een Airbnb zoals Airbnb destijds bedoeld was. We voelden ons thuis en konden als gezin tot rust komen na inspannende dagen. Er is ook een zeer aanhankelijke kat.

très bel endroit, arrangé avec goût, avec toutes les commodités. nous avons passé un très bon séjour. je recommande cet endroit. la vue sur le lac et les couchés de soleil en font un endroit idyllique. seul petit bémol le bruit des avions qui sont assez nombreux.

Het appartement zag er heel netjes uit, net zoals op de foto’s. Het contact met Karin was fijn, we kregen veel en duidelijke instructies en informatie. Het appartement heeft een fijne locatie, op loopafstand naar het centrum van Haarlem. Wij hebben een leuke tijd hier gehad en raden het zeker aan.

This is the best air bnb we have stayed in. The house was impeccable - clean, comfortable and we felt completely at home. This is a family home but there was no clutter or anything else that would make you feel you were impinging on someone’s personal items. The area is fab - close to the beach, which we visited, and 2 mins to the train station for trains to central Amsterdam in 15 mins. There is a local bakery, butcher, lovely ice cream shop and big supermarket 2 mins walk away. It is 5 mins on the train to Haarlem which is huge - lots of small boutique shops and chain shops. The area is lovely - really safe and quiet. Jan-Kees is the most amazing host. He is so responsive - we set up a what’s app and he always replied instantly. He had so many tips for where to eat and where to go. We will be back to visit those places we missed. The children loved the cat and the chickens! Thank you Jan-Kees and family for all your help and for allowing us to stay in your wonderful home ☺️
