Excellent spot for a quiet getaway in the woods! This is a recently renovated cottage with the most amazing view of Third Lake. Four bedrooms, six beds. 1.5 bathrooms. Included is the use of 2 pair of snowshoes, fire pit, bbq. The kitchen was recently renovated. Only 1.15hrs from downtown Halifax and still within HRM. Directly off a quiet paved, plowed road! We booked super last minute so we could stay longer in town to visit my grandparents - we were beyond pleased with our stay! We had asked the host if there was any stores near by as we weren’t familiar with the area just to grab the kids some hot dogs but nothing was close nor near by and the host actually came down with hot dogs, buns and ketchup for my kids! Such a sweet gesture!!! The cabin was adorable - above expectation! Will definitely book again!

I had another wonderful stay at Joh and Sandy’s place. The home is perfectly set up for everything you will need and the location is absolutely beautiful. A short stroll down the path of trees and wildflowers takes you to the pristine Bra d’or Lake. It’s a private oasis with chairs and a hammock to enjoy the serenity and magic of the lake. Lots of wildlife to enjoy (two deer came for a few visits!). If you like peace and tranquility, this is the place. Thank you John and Sandy for a lovely time at your cottage. I’ll see you next year! :)

This cottage is a gem, tucked away on a very peaceful lake in Guysborough County. The cottage is modern, bright and comfortable. The place is full of personal touches and there were a lot of supplies on hand, for example I forgot my toothbrush but there was a spare new one in a package in the bathroom closet. The hot tub was delightful and helped us relax and enjoy the scenery. The small town of Guysborough is not far away with a grocery store and decent cafe. Overall we had a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Superbe emplacement ! Belle vue sur le lac avec beaucoup d'espace pour les chiens , belle intimité et superbe tranquillité et pour ce qui souhaites faire du paddle board du kayak ou autre il y a un accès au lac . Les hôtes sont disponible et accommodant ! Nous sommes très heureuse d'avoir trouvé cet emplacement !

This was a beautiful, peaceful place to stay. Wildlife was amazing there. Damien was very responsive I would suggest bringing your own food simply because of the remote location The views were amazing ,gorgeous sunsets. St.Peters is a very friendly town not far from his location, I highly recommend trying The Farmers Pantry.

Derek's place is a perfect authentic chalet with modern amenities in a beautiful natural setting. Inside was spotless and had everything we might need. Our dog was happy to play in the nearby stream and watch the birds flying to the feeders. It was a great base for visiting Guysborough and Antigonish/New Glasgow.
