lovely spacious 3 bedroom
We stayed at Paulâs for YQM about 35 mins away from the concert which was perfect we got out of all the hustle and bustle of the town to a quiet community that had all the small town things (Tim Hortons, Irving, small cafe, restaurant etc.) the house is Beautiful, cozy, clean, smells delightfull. The pictures do not do it justice. We felt like we were home. Beds were comfy. Itâs set up for small children to have a fun bath with toys just like you were home. We will definitely be back!

Sweet Home 4 min. to CF Mall
We had a nice weekend stay at Joice's. There was everything we needed and the place was very comfortable. Joice was very prompt and clear with all communication.

2 Bedroom Getaway
My family and I had a great time at Louise's cottage. Louise herself was very sweet and took a great care of us. She was very friedndly, accommodating and treated us like her own family! The place she and Michael owns is simply amazing. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very well-equipped. We had everything we needed and even more for a comfortable two night stay. We enjoyed spending the time outside overlooking the lake and taking all the surrounding beauty in. Each night Louise treated us to a warm bonfire under the myriads of stars. We would highly recommend Louise's place to everyone. And hopefully we get to enjoy it again one day as well.

Home Sweet Home
A great place to stay. My wife said it was like returning to the childhood days of visiting her grandparents. Many antiques and interesting decorations coupled with a well equipped kitchen and comfortable furniture, make this a great place to stay. For rainy days there are many books, and board games with a great reading nook upstairs. Blake is also very generous with baked treats.

Private cozy cottage!
Host was extremely friendly and prompt with responses. No issues getting in the house at check-in. Lots to do at the house itself to relax, and lots to see all around the location including amazing beaches. Super quiet area and very private at the end of a dead end lane. House was clean and had way more than the basics in the cupboards. Enough towels too for my family of four. Only thing we would've liked to make this place absolutely perfect would've been laundry onsite.

Summer rental - 4 bedroom split-level home
Sophieâs place absolutely exceeded my expectations. It felt so homey, and was fully stocked with everything you could ever need and more. It was nicely decorated and very cleanly. She is a great host and communicated very well and was extremely accommodating. Highly recommend booking your stay at this location. Thanks again Sophie!

Your guide to Shediac
All About Shediac
Shediac is a tiny coastal town along the eastern shoreline of New Brunswick known for its robust lobster fishing. Nestled on Shediac Bay on the Northumberland Strait, just across from Prince Edward Island, Shediac was once a part of the French colony of Acadia and remains mostly bilingual today.
The town greets visitors with a 36-foot-long, 16-foot-tall lobster statue â the largest of its kind in the world. There are a couple of sandy beaches where you can take a swim in the surprisingly warm water, try your hand at windsurfing, or go kayaking beside the Giant Lobster itself. The Old Train Station Museum in town teaches visitors about Shediacâs role as the first railway station in New Brunswick, and there are more museums, galleries, and antique shops along the main strip. Not surprisingly, most of the seaside restaurants offer lobster dinners, and when youâre finished, head to Pointe-du-ChĂȘne Wharf for a stroll beside the water while you enjoy an ice cream and admire the sunset over the bay.
The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Shediac
Like many parts of eastern Canada, Shediac experiences extreme weather with long, hot summers and cold, snowy winters. Summer is the perfect time to visit if you want to hit the beach or get out on the water. During July, the city hosts the Lobster Festival, complete with parades, live music, carnival rides, and lots of fresh lobster to try. The spring and autumn months are cooler, but are great times to avoid the crowds and catch a glimpse of the spring flowers or autumn leaves as they provide a dash of color to the surrounding countryside. Things quiet down as the temperature drops in winter, the winds pick up, and the snow accumulates. Although some businesses may be closed for the off-season, this is a lovely time to explore Shediac in solitude.
Top things to do in Shediac
Parlee Beach
With some of the warmest saltwater in Canada, this golden beach is one of the best places to go for a swim off of Canadaâs eastern coast. Youâll find soft sand and shallow waves, making this a great spot for families; you can even join in a game of beach volleyball while you are there. The beach is just a short walk from the wharf, where you can pick up lunch.
Acadian Coastal Drive
Stretching over 450 miles, this scenic drive takes visitors through Acadia, passing by historic towns, gorgeous beaches, sprawling national parks, and breathtaking bays. Shediac is near the southern tip of the route, so it is easy to explore a small portion of the drive from town or to make it part of a much longer roadtrip.
Giant Lobster
Weighing in at 100 tons, the gargantuan lobster statue at the edge of town is made of concrete and reinforced steel and looks uncannily lifelike. It was built in 1989 to stand as a symbol of the townâs self-proclaimed role as the âLobster Capital of the World.â You can climb up to the statue to get some great photos of yourself standing between its powerful claws.
