Vacation rentals in Gulpilhares

We loved our stay at Tiago’s beach house. The location was perfect for our family vacation. There were restaurants close by and the beach was just a few steps away and it was beautiful! The house was very spacious and had everything we needed. We were without a vehicle and used public transportation and uber to get back and forth to Porto. The walk to the grocery store was about 20 minutes. There was a plumbing issue in one of the showers on the second day. Tiago responded quickly and it was resolved same day. I would definitely recommend the beach house and Miramar.

It was right under the Moru Garden, so it was nice to enjoy it from the terrace of the accommodation without having to go to the Moru Garden separately! The location itself was worth it, even though I had to keep crossing the East Louis Bridge to go to the tours or tourist attractions! It was less crowded than the Sanbento Station side, so it was quiet and the night view was so nice! However, you have to look at the river diagonally, not directly!(Look closely at the first photo you uploaded) We stayed for 3 nights, but there were only 2 large towels and 2 small towels, so we asked if we could get a little more towels, but they said that we could get them if we paid 39 euros, so it was a little disappointing that we didn't have enough towels... Other than that, my husband and I loved the accommodation, and it was clean and smelled good! It was nice to have two bathrooms! When I think of my trip to Porto, I think the view from the accommodation will be remembered for a long time!

What a gem ❤️. The apartment is way more spacious than it looks in the photos: beautifully designed and perfect for two. It’s on the ground floor, which is super convenient, but thanks to the slope, it actually feels like you’re up high. A peaceful view and total privacy. The free private garage was a huge plus (we had a big car), and you can access it directly from inside the building. The area feels truly Portuguese, quiet, local, and just a few minutes from Gaia Shopping and El Corte Inglés. Getting to Porto was easy because Ubers are incredibly cheap. Max was one of the most attentive and thoughtful hosts we’ve ever met. We felt welcomed from the very first message. We’d absolutely come back!

We felt very comfortable with Daniel. Daniel is an excellent and very friendly host, he was always easily accessible and gave us valuable tips via WhatsApp or answered our questions. The short walk to the beach (about 5 min) is a great advantage in itself. It is also only a 6-minute walk to the train station. This makes it very easy and environmentally friendly to get to Porto, the train ride to the center (Sao Bento train station) takes about 30 minutes and is very cheap. In the villa, there were maps of Porto. The villa is beautifully furnished and very clean. The rooms are all upstairs above the garage, plus the pool area. Supermarket and bakery are right near. The very quiet location of the villa in Arcozelo is also perfect for excursions into the interior. To the university city of Coimbra, for example, or via the hiking trail "Passadiços do Paiva" to the suspension bridge "516 Arouca". We thank Daniel and Ana very much and would love to come back!

We were delighted with our stay at this apartment in Francelos. The location is buens, just steps from the train station, which allowed us to easily explore cities like Porto and Aveiro. Trains are very frequent and the trip is fast, ideal for day trips! The apartment itself was perfect for our needs. The bedroom with a double bed and an en-suite bathroom was comfortable, and the other room had two twin beds. The whole house was clean and tidy, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to prepare our own meals and access to the terrace, which allowed us to eat with views. Also, the garage was very helpful in leaving the car.
