The Historic Grimsby Stone Shop

The Grimsby Stone Shop was built by United Empire Loyalist Allan Nixon in 1800. It was used as a Blacksmith Shop during the War of 1812 by the British and American forces. Over the years, it also served as a carriage and wagon repair shop, the Grimsby Town Hall, a trader outpost, a residence, artist studio and the Town Museum. Today it serves as a unique historic airbnb which honours its heritage with many artifacts on display.
