House vacation rentals in Groot-Jongensfontein

Really great place for a big family, we could cook together, eat together and relax together without feeling cramped. More than enough cutlery and crockery too. I liked the way that 3 bedrooms are not part of the main house as it gives a lot of privacy. I also liked that the TV room is a separate room so the kids can sit in there and the sound of the tv is not heard throughout the house. Beautiful surroundings, we saw owls, tortoises, eland, zebra and bushbuck.

Die Unterkunft hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Haus ist so schön wie auf den Fotos und der Ausblick von der Terrasse sehr idyllisch. Man sieht Berge, Kühe, Hühner. Wir waren einfach begeistert. Wir durften die Tiere füttern und das Bad im Pool auf der Terrasse war ebenfalls sehr angenehm. Bernadine war immer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir würden hier wieder übernachten.

We had a wonderfully relaxing time. The home is clean and comfortable with plenty of entertaining options. The pool and large garden made all the difference to our stay. The property is in a great location, close to the lagoon and the board walk. We immediately felt right at home, especially as the home is pet friendly. Thank you for a really memorable stay.

What a super spot! We felt very spoiled stepping out of the door directly onto the beautiful beach. The house is comfy and welcoming, just what’s needed for a relaxing break. We will definitely return as soon as we can.

Das schöne Haus liegt in einem durch zwei verschlossene Gates gesicherten Naturschutzgebiet. Der Blick aus dem Wohnzimmer und dem Balkon auf die Bucht und das Meer ist atemberaubend. Küche und Wohnzimmer bestehen aus einem großen Raum. Die Küche ist komfortabel und gut ausgestattet. Die Betten sind bequem, wenn auch für große Menschen etwas kurz. Wir haben uns sehr sicher gefühlt und unseren Aufenthalt genossen.

We rented Zenji for our bridal party to stay in for our wedding weekend in Stilbaai & had the best stay ever! The most beautiful home, fully equipped with everything you need and more, modern yet cozy and sooooo zen, the views in the back garden was definitely a highlight. The hosts were so friendly and extremely accommodating, allowing us early check in and late check out so that we could work around our venue setup and break down time for the wedding ~ even left us a little bottle of champagne! It's quite rare to stay in someone else's home and feel so at home & at ease in an unfamiliar space. Staying at house Zenji definitely added to the magic of our wedding weekend and we are so grateful for it! 15/10 definitely would stay again :)

Hannah's place is a minimalist concrete-built beach house, right on the edge of the Skulpiesbaai Nature Reserve, and beyond it Shelly Beach. The place has an arty, loft-apartment style vibe - right up our street - basically one large room with concrete floors, carefully curated vintage furniture, and a separate bathroom. Everything worked well, and the large sliding glass doors at the front and back of the property let the seaside air and light flood in. Stillbaai itself is a charming little holiday town situated on both sides of estuary where the Goukou River meets the sea - well worth a stop-over on the way to or from the Garden Route.

We had a wonderful stay in Still Bay. The location is perfect with the most amazing views. The house is well setup and the check in was very easy and flexible. We’ll be back for sure!

What a charming and delightful cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Rustic and simple with all you would need. The area is beautiful and lovely to explore. Hoping to visit again.

The house is in a peaceful area and walking distance to the lagoon which is awesome. The house has all you need.

We had lovely stay - beautiful house with a very good location. The interior decorating is very stylish and the lay-out works very well. The house is very well equipped. Communication with Shan was very good.

Stoep-sit to the next level! We watched bright orange sun rises and dolphins migrating up and down the bay, all from the house... Walking distance to the beach, shops, coffee, tidal pools. The house was spotless, well equip, had everything we needed. We honestly had the best family weekend. Thank you Adele!

We had a great stay at Zelda’s place. The location is on the beach with only the street and small dune to cross to get to the long beach. The views from the balcony were stunning and made for wonderful evening braai and family time. It is a quiet street with only traffic from the neighbors as there is no through way or public beach. The swimming beach and shops are a short drive with plenty for all to do and see and explore. We had plenty of hot water and bedding was warm and clean. Plenty of indoor space for lounging around or making meals. All needed equipment for meals and cleaning were on hand. The kids loved the pool and soccer tables and the board games available. All in all a great stay. Home away from home.

For someone who prefer the bush this was one of the most enjoyable and peaceful coastal holidays I have had and grandma who turned 86 on Jan 1 was thrilled with the unobstructed sea views from the her bedroom, the lounge and porch with the waves rolling in at high tide to about 30m from the property. Hennie is a super organised, friendly and nothing is too much to ask host and has a nearby friend that can come to your assistance if you have 10 thumbs. Surfing, paddle boarding and snorkelling can be done a stone through away from this property and you can fish from the rocks in front of the house, tide depending. A blue flag beach is a short 150m walk away if you do not feel like driving to the beach in Stilbaai which is a short drive away. Locals are friendly, everything in Jongensfontein is clean and well kept by the municipality, including a well kept tidal pool and free hiking in the local nature reserve. We will be back.

What a lovely weekend getaway with friends. This is a beautifully spacious house in a lovely setting right next to the river. We had so much fun playing with kids in the river on the stand up paddle boards and kayak. In the evening we had a braai either in the expansive open living area or outside under the stars. We would love to come back here.

Perfect for our family weekend. Very cosy and complete. Kids could play on the beach, while the adults could comfortably sit and keep a eye on the kids.
