Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Greater Uptown, Houston

After a year of strenuous studies and work, we wanted a getaway with a home-feeling whilst exploring and discovering a new city and this turned out to be a great retreat for my family! It had a good balance of open and personal space, which was great for a handful of teenagers. We were within good driving distance to restaurants, parks and downtown events. Hosts provided clear instructions and were very responsive. My only gripe is the parking. Although we had access to the two-car garage, the driveway itself is pretty narrow and depending on how the neighbors park their vehicles, it can be challenging to get in/get out. Other than that, highly recommend and will def book again when we go back to Houston!

We rented Alex’s home for a ladies’ weekend staycation in Houston. We wanted something centrally located with a pool that could accommodate 5 adult women. The house is immaculate—beautifully decorated with high-end finishes, and it is spotless. It has plenty of parking and is less than 10 minutes from City Centre. Because we didn’t venture far from the house, it was important for us to have a comfortable space to enjoy for the weekend. While the home is gorgeous inside, it is not fully stocked with kitchen appliances or utensils. Fortunately, I was able to make a stop at my home for the items we needed (corkscrew, baking pans, etc). Additionally, if you are someone who prefers a softer bed, you may want to bring extra blankets or sleeping pad to top the bed with as the mattresses are all very firm. We had a wonderful stay at Alex’s home and a perfect weekend “away.”

Home was so beautiful! We all wish we could've stayed longer. Only thing was the air mattress did not stay inflated throughout the night so we didn't use it the second night! Other than that is was an amazing stay with plenty of space for our whole group.

This place was perfect for us! They had everything you could think of. When I say everything, I mean everything! It was just as described, the beds were comfortable, it was clean, the neighborhood was quiet & we were closed to everything! Definitely highly recommend!

We had a great stay! The house was spacious, clean, and very well stocked with everything we needed. The space-themed decor was such a fun and unique touch—it was thoughtfully incorporated throughout the home and really made the place stand out. Taylor was responsive and easy to communicate with, which made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. The location is also fantastic—quiet, convenient, and in a great area. Overall, a solid place to stay and one I’d happily return to!

Perfect spot to stay in Houston! Home was clean and was in a perfect location to get to different areas around the Houston area.

Axel’s place is amazing. Whether you’re traveling for work or need a great place for your family to stay, it’s perfect! Lots to do without leaving the house. Axel was super responsive and it was no problem that my stay was very last minute. I will definitely come back next time I’m in Houston!

This house was so beautiful with its mid-century modern style. The pool/jacuzzi combo was the selling point for me. The bed and sheets were comfortable as well.

Ms.Cynthia was very responsive,and she gave very clear instructions on how to use everything in the space and also how to find the apartment as well. The space was very clean and very comfortable.

Very clean & comfortable, we stayed during a visit to MD Anderson. Great host, super helpful & patient with my lack of technical knowledge! We will definitely stay at the Fornix home again!

Great place to crash in Houston. There aren't a lot of places near my friend's house so this was a great find. They also allow pets so I was able to bring my dog down with me. They provided a water and food bowl for him and everything. It was really nice!

This was close to the Texas Medical Center which is what we needed. The place had everything one could think of to insure a pleasant stay.

Johnny was a great help. He responded very quickly. I run into a little trouble & Johnny was able to help me fix it. I see why he a “super host”

Jackson’s home was incredible it had so much space. It was clean it was stocked with everything we needed to make our stay more comfortable. The pool was amazing with the grill. I loved the privacy fences around the home made me feel so much safer. Jackson was very accommodating and responsive to all my questions and concerns. I plan to book with her again on my next trip to Houston!

Great property! The kitchen is missing a handful of utensils, pots, and pans, but aside from that, the home was wonderful! Thank you!
