Beautiful Luxury one bedroom retreat in Far Sawrey

JustinRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a wonderful stay. The cottage is very private with a fantastic view from the living room. Great location allowing easy access to nearby pubs and to the ferry. We were surrounded by wildlife, and particularly enjoyed seeing the family of baby rabbits hop around the cottage garden each evening.
An indoor swimming pool is surrounded by stone walls and large windows, providing natural light. The pool features a set of stairs leading into the water. A life ring hangs on the wall, and there are seating areas along the edges.

This is just a stunning place - situated in a beautiful valley with views of the far mountains. House was full of character, all amenities we wanted were there, and just loved being able to walk from the house.

Rusland View

Everywhere was exceptionally clean, tidy and well organized. The kitchen especially stood out being very well equipped with what looked like a new and very easy to use cooker, large fridge /freezer and all glasses, chinaware, cutlery and saucepans bought in matching sets specificately for the property, ( not hand me downs from elsewhere). A comfy lounge to toast yourselves in front of the log burner, user friendly bathroom and cloakroom with more than enough towels and a comfy bed to sink into for a well rested start to the next day.

Studio @ Fiddler Yard

Lovely studio with great host. Amy went above and beyond with her hospitality. We had everything we needed in hand, the bed was super comfy and the towels were extra soft! Good location to explore the Lake District, didn’t take us much longer than an hour to travel wherever we went. Definitely recommend!

We found the cottage quite small at first, but then found it comfortable. Our host had thought of everything, from kitchen, bedroom to bathroom. Very nicely decorated and clean.

We loved our stay at Easter How, it was perfect for our family get together. The gardens are gorgeous and our daughter's dog enjoyed exploring all the different paths. My dad enjoyed feeding the birds so thank you for providing the food for that too! It really was a home from home, so comfortable with great facilities and in such a tranquil setting. We enjoyed walking to High Dam Tarn a couple of times too, the second time we took the easier route through the field as my parents found the steep climb tough going the first time. Justin (co-host) kept us updated and we had the added bonus of meeting him when he dropped off some coffee beans! Thank you for allowing us to stay in this beautiful home we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Many thanks Jane

Hawkhow Cottage, Glenridding

BridgetRating, 5 stars5 days ago
A beautiful house in a lovely setting, great for family get togethers, location right on the lake was amazing, & easy access to lovely local town of Glenridding for essentials. Wide range of facilities at the cottage, we really enjoyed the private outdoor eating area next with the wood fired outdoor grill. Very nice well appointed kitchen with quality appliances, bathrooms clean and with quality fittings. Outside garden/woodland area was perfect for us and our dog, although the many steps and steep paths would not suit everyone, but this factor is clearly explained in the information host provides. We found some rooms a little dark, especially on a rainy day but there are some lovely lamps which can be moved around if required. Overall I would recommend this cottage as a great place to stay & enjoy the lake district and all it has to offer.
