Cabin vacation rentals in Grayson County

We had a great stay. The place is so beautiful and private. The cabin was comfy and cute. The bed was so comfortable, we slept very well. The hot tub was incredible. Very much loved this place and will definitely return. Highly recommend!

This beautiful cabin far exceeded our expectations. It had a well-stocked kitchen with plenty of utensils, plates, pots, pans, and even two coffee pots! Two large family areas were nicely furnished with comfortable furniture, TVs, games, and more. But our favorite part of the house was the huge porch overlooking a gorgeous view. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend this home for your next vacation.

Setting was beautiful! Loved the hot tub on the porch and the views were stunning. Host was very nice, breakfast was awesome each morning, enjoyed the privacy. I would return for another stay anytime

This is our third year staying at the farm, and as always, we loved it! The new owners are working hard to do some updates while maintaining a lot of the rustic, albeit luxurious, charm the farm has always had. Loads of spring birds on the farm. The area was hit hard by the storm last year, but as the signs in Lansing say, Lansing is strong and is rebuilding! The General Store in Lansing is up and running and well-worth continued patronage for coffee, snacks, and local goods. The upper part of the Creeper Trail will not be open for a while, but the ride from Abingdon to Damascus was just beautiful (we highly recommend the Bike Station in Damascus for a shuttle!). Nearby Grayson Highlands is beautiful as always and well worth a few days for hiking. The cabins themselves remain in great shape with possible new accommodations in the future. A little slice of heaven!

The house is beautiful and the fenced in side yard was absolutely amazing! Walking out on the back porch from my bedroom and hearing the water and feeling the crisp morning air was so awesome! The front door is right at the road so be cautious of small children or pets! The house could use a good deep cleaning! And the upstairs is a bit creepy! LOL! But still a wonderful place to stay! The host always answered my questions quickly! We really enjoyed ourselves! And would love to stay again!

This place was absolutely amazing! We had a wonderful time and the will definitely be coming back! The cabin was cozy and the view was breathtaking. The host was kind and very accommodating. The views, hiking, hot tub, and the lack of cell phone service made this trip and a wonderful way to disconnect from daily life to spend quality time with each other and relax. All around this is the best experience I’ve had with Air BnB and 100 percent recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful getaway

Our second stay at the Steel Nest did not disappoint. Alison and Sam’s very private home with architectural flair and meaningful attention to detail and beautiful fixtures makes for an exceptional AirBNB experience for the independent traveler who values solitude with luxury touches. My wife and I felt we found our rhythm with the house the second stay. Another great experience and we will be back for many more visits! Thanks Alison and Sam!

This was our second stay, and it was just as good as the last! The home is perfect for a large family gathering. We especially enjoy the outdoor fireplace and wrap around porches.

What a cozy home with a beautiful view. If you’re looking for somewhere you can just getaway and soak up what nature provides it’s here. 10/10 experience for us and we really hope to visit this home again. The view from the front porch is breath taking, especially when the sun starts to set and the mountains glow. The wild life activity here is also amazing. Every morning and night you can look out side and see deer grazing, birds flying, and chipmunks running around. Just a wonderful experience all together.

The cabin is awesome, very well equipped and comfortable. We were 11 and 2 dogs and we had a beautiful time for Christmas and New years. Michelle is absolutely a great host, very flexible with check-in and check-out times and responded quickly and very nicely at all times. I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a peaceful and great quality time. We had 5 teenagers and they absolutely loved being there watching movies and playing board games.

We spent Thanksgiving at this cabin! The kitchen had everything we needed and more! The beds and bedding were very comfortable. We even went online and ordered the same pillows, sheets, and blanket! We set the scene by lighting the electric fireplace, had a glass of wine, and started a puzzle the house provided. Family enjoyed the back deck and fire pit area. We look forward to staying here again!

Steve provided very clear instructions and information to access the house and wifi. The house included everything needed for cooking, sleeping, showering, and to be comfortable. The location was great for us since it is close to many great hiking trails and places for fly fishing. Many brochures and guides for local towns and activities were provided. Steve was very responsive with text messages prior to arrival and when we were preparing to leave. Overall, Steve is an excellent host.

Great place for a long weekend in Galax. We were in town for a concert at the Rex Theater and spent a few extra days. Far enough out of town to feel peaceful but close enough for the convenience of restaurants and shopping. Craig was super responsive and gave clear check in and check out instructions. Overall a great stay!

I brought my two dogs and we had a very nice stay. The home is very close to Grayson Highlands State Park, so we were able to do some hiking. I loved the king sized bed. It was very comfortable and it was nice to not have the dogs take up the entire bed. I only wish I had waited until winter so I could have taken advantage of the wood stove and all the firewood!

Claudia is a very responsive and helpful host. Cabin was clean and easily accessible. There was a bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived which was very sweet, and cabin was nice and warm. We will definitely be back.

A cute cabin close to all the hiking we wanted to do. The host was a great communicator and easy to contact.

At first it seems as if this is more isolation than you might have imagined, but after the second drive out and back up the hill it starts to feel like a home away from home. I went for the dark skies to do some astrophotography but it was cloudy the whole week. For astro weather is always a coin toss. But it was a wonderful time anyway with a mountain to climb right outside the door. The thousands of planted Christmas trees are just babies and allow for a clear view from almost anywhere on the hillside. TV wasn't the primary goal but we kept up with March Madness BB. My friend used his phone as a hot spot and I figured out how to connect the TV to it. Then we could access streaming services with our accounts. Some of the games were available over local TV channels such as WDBJ Roanoke CBS with good reception. Best of all was just sitting on the porch and having a coffee in the morning and a bit of sippin' whisky in the evening. I'll be back for the dark skies and quiet.

Our long weekend spent at the cabin and around the area was spectacular! The cabin had everything we needed & the wifi worked no problem. We walked the river & fished, spent lots of time out on the deck. We would love to stay at the Cabin again! Definitely a special place.

We had a fantastic stay at Serenity Cabin! The cabin was comfortable, clean, and exactly as pictured. Our host Debbie was a pleasure to communicate with and even offered to update the cabin's decor for the holidays ahead of our arrival.

We stayed here to kick off the first days of our honeymoon and were instantly enthralled by the beauty of the location; the views are gorgeous, with the hills and mountains beautifully illuminated by the sunlight. They even gave us donkey treats to feed the donkeys on the other side of the fence, in the neighboring pasture :) At night, with no light pollution due to the remote nature, you can quite literally make out wisps of the galaxy. The cabin itself is awesome; it was spacious, homey & warm, with a lovely rustic feeling and perfect amenities. The only recommendation I have would be to try and have an AWD vehicle. Due to the remoteness, as well as Helene in 2024, the roads are narrow and a bit bumpy. It was damp when we got in and we accidentally had our rental sedan go mudding, haha! The owners are extreme kind though, and even helped guide us to the cabin when our GPS went a little wonky and tried to take us to the pasture. Other than that small hiccup, it was perfect ❤️

Our stay at this cabin in the North Carolina mountains exceeded all expectations. It offered the perfect combination of adventure and relaxation, with plenty of outdoor activities and a comfortable, peaceful place to retreat to at the end of the day. Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway, a family vacation, or a solo retreat to reconnect with nature, this cabin is an excellent choice. I can’t wait to return! Our family loved the cabin. It is easy to find, had a well stocked kitchen with many appliances, minimal stairs, and fun games in the basement. We will certainly consider coming back during our next stay in North Carolina.
