Cabin vacation rentals in Grant County

We loved our stay at the cabin. The location was perfect for us. Everything was just as described. It’s a WELL stocked kitchen, clean bathrooms, comfortable beds and furniture, the solo stove and the hot tub were all contributing factors to our great stay. But the view and the property!! We couldn’t get enough of the beauty. The hike from the property was a favorite as well. The town of Davis was a perfect stop for supplies so that once we got to Patrick’s we were home for the night. Patrick was great to work with as well! Thank you for sharing your home.

The cabin is beautifully decorated and perfect for a cozy, relaxing getaway. We enjoyed the game room and the hot tub, and all the check-in and check-out instructions were easy to follow. The bed was very comfortable, and I appreciated the fan for white noise. We’d love to return one day!

My wife and I needed a trip away from the city for the long holiday weekend where we could enjoy some good activity in peaceful surroundings with our dog. This cozy pedestal cabin in Black Bear Resort was just what we were looking for. Check in was easy by picking up the keys at the resort lodge. The place had everything we needed to a cook a couple nights for ourselves, including the gas grill on the deck. The wall-mounted 4K flatscreen TV with Roku let us relax after three active days out and about in Canaan Valley while we listened to the thunderstorms roll over the mountains each evening. This would certainly be a fine place for folks (especially with kids -- there were two sets of bunk beds in the loft) to use a base for their WV adventures any time of year!

This rental was absolutely great! The host was super sweet and extremely flexible with checking in and out, which meet our needs! Lots to do for our kids, beautiful scenery, and very well kept. Highly recommend and would like to come back again!

Otter's Den is quiet, scenic, and relaxing. A large, comfortable house surrounded by forest with no neighbors in sight. Nicely equipped kitchen plus a large back deck for grilling and basking in the pristine hot tub. My wife and I especially enjoyed coffee in the rocking chairs on the covered front porch one quiet, rainy morning, listening to birdcalls and the nearby babbling stream. There is plenty to do in the area year-round -- lovely hikes in Dolly Sods wilderness and in 2 nearby state parks, one with a spectacular heated outdoor pool and a nice golf course. And winter sports abound with 2 downhill ski resorts and several cross-country trails within minutes. We haven't found a better way to get away -- we will definitely be back.

When our plans shifted a little bit, Cameron was so helpful as we figured out how to adapt our plans. We appreciated it so much. The cabin is delightful and the view is stunning. We loved the coziness, the jacuzzi, and the beautiful deck overlooking the mountains and the wetlands that make Canaan so unique. Absolutely wonderful stay.

Excellent location, close to tons of activities and options. We loved the house and so much space!!! Exactly as described, very comfortable and inviting. The kitchen had everything you could need and lots of space. Beds were comfortable with extra linens available. The views were amazing!! Would definitely stay in the future when we are in the area.

We loved our stay at Wildest Dreams. Melissa and Jim were so helpful and responsive. The house was very well appointed. We felt right at home, and had everything we needed to prepare three meals each day for our party of eight. Plenty of beds and space to spread out. Location is great—just a few minutes drive from Timberline Mountain. We would definitely stay again!

Friends and family members rented several cabins at Black Bear for a wonderful weekend! Joan’s description warns that AWD is needed at this time of year—and it is. 🤪. Maintenance at Black Bear was extremely responsive when one of our group had difficulty getting out of the resort due to snow/ice. Nice to have the covered back porch to take off snowy wet clothes/boots.

I had a great time staying at this cabin. Most things were provided, and the cabin was clean. Check in was a breeze and check out was clear and easy to follow. I really liked the location. Did not realize there was mini golf and tennis. Looks like there’s a pool in the summer, maybe too (The pool was drained during my stay). All in all, this was an excellent rental with a great location and would return in the future.

My wife and I had a great long holiday weekend with our pup at this cabin in Black Bear Resort. The entire place was wonderfully updated and perfectly situated within the resort property. The updates Brooke and company have done to this cabin are perfect. The kitchen provided lots of space for us to make our meals and to sit down to eat. We did, however, choose to grill and eat outside on the lovely deck with high top chairs and railing table top to enjoy the lovely WV sunset and listen to the music up the way from Saddles and Smiles. Brooke and her team were proactive in providing needed information to seamlessly check in plus check out the things to see in nearby Davis and Thomas. I'd recommended seeing a show at the Purple Fiddle like we did!

This was a wonderful little cabin in the woods. Definitely need a 4WD/AWD car for the snowy months. Overall wonderful experience with our dogs!

We loved staying at this cabin! The hosts were super responsive and super friendly. The property is beautiful and we enjoyed walking around in the snow. The cabin was super cozy and clean, we loved the wall decorations and art. The kitchen was great and had nearly everything we needed. There is no regular oven but the large toaster oven worked perfectly for a small tart. Would definitely stay here again!

The place is clean, comfortable, and feels secluded. Check in was straight forward even with a gate house involved. Overall solid, nothing bad to say, my group and I enjoyed our stay.

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin in Davis, WV! The view of the mountains was absolutely breathtaking, and the peaceful surroundings made for the perfect getaway. The cabin was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed. It truly felt like a hidden gem a slice of heaven for any nature lover. Whether you’re enjoying your morning coffee with a view or exploring the nearby trails, this place is a dream. We’re so happy with our stay and would love to come back again!

Kimberly really has tried to think of everything for this little cottage. The kitchen is well stocked (loved the little magnetic spice containers on the fridge). She’s set up a small but functional coffee bar. Small French press included! Firewood was provided and was a most welcome treat to have a wood burning fire in the chilly evenings The little resort that the cabin is in is well maintained and staff is friendly and helpful. Beds are comfortable and there’s plenty of hot water! The spa tub was such a bonus after a long day of traveling and hiking! We enjoyed the local restaurants but particularly enjoyed the Purple Fiddle and Wicked Wilderness Pub. Kimberly and Jay have clearly worked hard to make this cabin a lovely guest house.

Really nice accomodations and we were even able to have a fire in the fireplace! After looking at the pictures, we were expecting it to be a bit larger, but it suited our needs well. The hosts are great about communicating and answering questions quickly. We'd definitely stay again!

Perfect home away from home. The cabin was clean and comfy. The area was beautiful, we enjoyed several hikes, local dining and caught a great show at the Purple Fiddle.

Great places amazing views. Only issue was they provided firewood but did not state it wasn't included in rental price and charged us after our stay. Would have been nice to know before we used it.

We had a great family ski vacation. The house was a perfect layout for three couples and one child. We did a lot of cooking and the kitchen was well equipped. We were pleased with the cleanliness when we arrived. We would definitely rent this house if we decide to vacation in Davis again.

Wry nice cabin. Conveniently located within minutes of Davis, and a short drive to many of the great parks in the area.

Our family and one other spent the New Year's holiday weekend at Skier's View while skiing at nearby Timberline Resort with our kids. Colleen was extremely proactive in sharing all of the pertinent info and went above and beyond to detail every aspect of the home as well as the surrounding community. The rental was a great price and had everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the beautiful view of Timberline, Canaan, and Whitegrass. We have stayed at many homes in the Valley and this was our favorite!
