Sandra was a superlative host and went FAR above and beyond making my Father’s first trip to New York City both memorable and pleasurable. I first booked this trip over a year and a half ago for May of 2024. Unforeseen circumstances forced me to delay the trip by a year and Sandra was patient and understanding while I sorted it out and rebooked me for the stay a full 12 months later than the initial intention. Additionally, due to a change in the NYC Air Bn’B regulations, she was forced to cancel my reservation while the paperwork was sorted out. During this ordeal, she was also extremely helpful as she gave me a refund but held my time-frame until it was possible to resubmit my deposit for the room. I am very grateful for this degree of courteousness. Upon arrival, she was so friendly and welcoming and this meant a lot as my Father is a pensioner on his first foray across the Atlantic and does not speak English. He could not have felt more at home in his accommodations as it was very

Nick’s place is the jackpot! My stay was comfortable and peaceful - two of my most important requirements in an airbnb. I had everything I needed, and Nick checked in to make sure my stay was going smoothly. He was also readily available for any questions I had. I loved the ease of attending my workshop at Pioneer Works. While my colleagues were taking Ubers in from other parts of Brooklyn and Manhattan, I had a mere 4 block walk. And the Red Hook neighborhood is a slice of life. I had everything I needed within a few blocks - restaurants, bars,bodegas and a few nice shops. This was an absolutely delightful place to stay, and I look forward to coming back and hopefully staying longer next time.

This was a fabulous find in the heart of Brooklyn. Near all bus and train connections. Great local food (Not Rays has great pizza). Plus Douglas was the perfect host, giving us directions and recommendations which were spot on. He has a beautiful space in a quiet neighborhood. I highly recommend it and look forward to returning in the future.

We lucked out with this place! We were in the area visiting family and the location couldn’t be more perfect! So many shops and restaurants around yet quiet at night. We had everything we needed except a dining table but Vikki told us one is coming. We will be back!
