Activities include fishing, bird watching, shooting, walking and stunning landscapes for the keen photographer. Also seven golf courses close by and a wealth of History in the Highlands. We are also very dog-friendly so no need to leave man’s best friend at home!

Cosy bungalow in nice wee village; shops and train/bus routes. The Ground floor is included in this listing; upstairs is kept for storage. One double bed only, the listing says one bed in lounge, only sofas but I can’t correct this… There is a covered deck out the back door, great for sitting out in the rain! Good base for access to rest of NW Scotland; on the edge of the NC500, 14 miles from Inverness. Please read the house manual; note this is a quiet street and not a party house..

There is a large garden to enjoy with fishing rights on the Blackwater River which borders the property. There is one double bed, a large bathroom with electric shower, a kitchenette with microwave, mini fridge, toaster, single hob and kettle. There is WiFi avaliable in the cabin, but the range is short and you are likely to only get WiFi in the bedroom. There is a smart TV in the bedroom which will be able to use the WiFi, and the TV in the living area will need to be used for DVDs only.

The Factor's Office is a luxury boutique room, with separate entrance, garden space and ensuite, situated as part of the historic Nutwood House. Formally part of the Earl of Cromartie estate with magnificent views of the valley and less than 5 minutes walk to Strathpeffer village and amenities. Situated in a beautiful peaceful location, a great base to explore the Highlands. There are many activities to enjoy, forest walks, mountain biking, fishing etc. Can also be booked with The Lodge.

Foulis Castle is a 15 min walk away from the Storehouse Restaurant & Farm shop, which is situated on the shore/beach of the Cromarty Firth (Mon-Sat, 9-5pm). You’ll love my place because of privacy of having your own country retreat within beautifully landscaped gardens. My place is small with one bedroom that contains either x2 singles or zip&link super-king size bed. The 3rd guest is on a roll-away mattress ideal for a child.

There is an hourly bus service that runs from kirkhill which can take you to both places. Achnagairn castle is just a 5 minute walk away.
