Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Goodrington Sands

Close to the beach and a lovely pub /restaurant. The large kitchen table was ideal for our family get together. Very peaceful location we would love to return.

We had a great family stay at Huccaby Cottage. The location was perfect for days out and the added bonus of the indoor pool and play facilities was excellent! The cottage is great for little ones with everything you might need, stair gates, travel cots, high chair etc. The welcome hamper was very much appreciated after our journey on the motorway was very slow, the biscuits went down a treat! It was our first visit but certainly not our last, we’re already looking to book next year! Thank you for a fab weekend. X

We can’t thank Andy enough for such an amazing stay. He was so helpful and nothing was ever too much trouble. Towels were supplied, everything you need kitchen wise were also supplied, we were made to feel at home from the moment we got there. The views are spectacular, and we got so lucky with the weather. Andy was quick to recommend places to see/places to eat in and around Kingsbridge which in its self was beautiful. He stocked the fire and wood up for us every morning and even warned us about the hot tub temperature (as we would’ve been cooking like lobsters after we heated it abit too much😂). I highly recommend this place and it was well worth the 7 hour drive there and back. 1000 character reviews just aren’t enough for how helpful and welcoming Andy was. We will definitely be back! A really lovely week, marred only by a couple of days' rain (which of course was nobody's fault!). Taryn was extremely efficient and responsive. Barbara was charming and helpful, and explained so much about the lambing process. The house was roomy - great for a family party of nine. My granddaughter loved visiting the lambs, and even holding a newly-born lamb in her arms. Wonderful rolling hill farmland to walk the dog. Visits to the sea, Exeter and Totnes were great too. Possibly the best Airbnb I have stayed in. Such a unique, beautiful spot. The bedrooms are super spacious with super comfortable beds and it was great to have the two toilets. The property has everything you need and has been thoughtfully designed. Everywhere was spotless! The log burner was lovely to use at night and the hot tub with the stunning views and surroundings is just perfect! We saw so many different types of birds whilst there! We would love to return and will recommend to others.

Absolutely loved staying in The Old Warehouse. We have rented LOTS of Air B&B's in the area of different sizes/types but this was one of my favourites - it was perfect for me and my daughter (and we could have brought the dogs too which we didn't in the end but it would have been fine for them - there's only a courtyard garden but still there is a park nearby). The house is spacious, cosy but tidy and uncluttered with everything you need for a short stay. Verity had put just enough of some important items there for us to use so we didn't need to buy bags of things (oil, salt & pepper, dishwasher tabs, washing tabs, milk and butter). Verity was very helpful and available whenever I messaged. I would recommend this place and would like to stay here again.

Fabulous house with stunning views. The house is decorated to a very high standard and has absolutely everything you need. We loved the village and the Ferryboat Inn which is just a short walk down the road. Would love to return!

Polly’s place was in a great, central location in Ashburton, but also quiet and peaceful, which was ideal for us both, very cosy and comfortable for a couple.

Well located for centre of town and also the hospitals. A really lovely comfortable well equipped and stylish apartment. Anna Lisa was very responsive to any queries responding straight away which was great .

Stylish, cozy, and surprisingly spacious apartment in a perfect location—just steps from amazing restaurants, a wine cellar, creperie, and charming pubs. Ideal for walks. The host was super helpful with great local food tips. Beds were incredibly comfortable!

Excellent accommodation, exactly as described and finished to a high specification. There is a garage to park in at the property but access is tight 6feet width! You would certainly struggle with a large car, we had a VW Golf and it was still quite tight. There is some free on street parking but this is rarely available. The property is a perfect location with a few minutes walk to the town, market and the sea front. Therefore there are several good restaurants, cafes, etc within easy reach. There are 26 steps from the street up to the door of the property and they are quite irregular. There are also steps between some rooms inside the property (2 flights of 3 steps and one single step down into the bedroom. Needs considerationvfor anyone with mobility problems. So overall, if you don’t mind the steps and a tight squeeze for your car (or no means of driving up to the property if you have a large car) then this is an excellent property to stay in. Highly recommended.

We had a great three-night stay. The flat was spotless and exactly as pictured. Check-in was smooth with clear instructions. Location is excellent—quiet yet close to the city centre and train station. The flat is easy to access and well equipped, with a good kitchen and a fridge suitable for a short stay. Heating was easy to control and worked perfectly. Both bedrooms were clean, though the bed frames felt quite light and a bit unstable, and the mattresses were thinner than we’re used to—fine for a few nights, but might be less ideal for longer stays. The inner windows opened easily, but securing the outer sash ones was sometimes a bit tricky. Overall, the flat was clean, functional, and well-located. We were very comfortable and would gladly stay again. A great base for exploring Exeter. Elliot was also very responsive and helpful throughout our stay, which made everything even smoother. Thank you!

lovely spot for a one-night get away. Tim and Linda were great - they gave us clear instructions and were very helpful. the space was very clean and had everything you could need. the breakfast was an unexpected surprise and a real lovely touch (we loved the goose egg!). our dog loved it and it was so kind for the hosts to leave out bowls/towels/ball especially for him. overall, It was fantastic value and i recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, cheap getaway.

Mary was very welcoming to us on our arrival. The flat itself is very comfortable and right next to the shops / cafes etc in Dawlish. Very well equipped with everything you need for a lovely stay. We were on a family visit, but if you are looking for a holiday Dawlish is ideal and relatively unspoilt compared to other coastal towns. Lots of shops to explore, and of course the famous Gay's Creamery is here too (an absolute must-visit!)

Loved the house, we stayed for Christmas it was perfect for our needs. The host had put up a beautiful Christmas tree for us. It was super Christmassy and a short walk into town for the lights and a few drinks in the pub. The house was warm, clean and the host was welcoming - we were so happy with everything! We had a perfect family Christmas all together with lots of space. The house is decorated querky and interesting - we loved it.

Richard's place is beautiful and the photos don't do it justice. The house is tastefully decorated, very roomy and has everything you need. It's in a picturesque location; sundowners in the garden watching the sunset over the Exe was particularly memorable and Topsham has loads of great places to eat and cool shops. Richard was a great host who communicated in a clear, friendly and timely manner.

We had a wonderful stay, the views and surrounding area are stunning. The house had everything we needed for a relaxing short break in the sunshine, wish we could have stayed longer - perhaps next year as would love a return visit! Thanks

We loved its quirkiness, but Weeke Barton is an old building with uneven floors and low ceilings and spiral staircases which were a challenge. The stairs didn’t defeat us, but they are tricky. The rooms are warm even when a log fire is needed, which is recommended, and the beds are very comfy. All the bedrooms are great and full of history and character, which is the same for the whole of Weeke Barton. The location is also ideal for exploring Dartmoor, for riverside running and good food pubs. There is enough to do locally when it rains, and perfect walks for when it’s sunny. Our stay at **Moor House in Totnes** was a wonderful experience for our group of ten. The house is delightfully **cosy** – with its spacious rooms, inviting seating areas, and warm atmosphere, it provided plenty of space for us to relax and come together. The **artistic** design of the house particularly impressed us. Every room is decorated with great attention to detail, full of creative touches and inspiring elements that make the house truly unique. It’s clear that a keen eye for aesthetics and style has shaped this space. But what truly sets Moor House apart is the **thoughtful** atmosphere it is **imbued with**. There is a quiet presence in the house, as if its history subtly lingers in the air without being overbearing. This special character gives the place a depth that is almost tangible. For groups looking for a unique stay full of charm and personality, Moor House is an absolute gem!

Our family had a good stay, there was plenty of space for 9 adults and 3 infants. The garden was really spacious and we enjoyed use of the fire pit, BBQ, trampoline and hot tub. The only downside was the kitchen was a bit small for us, as we cooked the majority of meals at home and ordered a big food shop for a week, which we had to split between the two kitchens (upstairs and downstairs). Walkable to Princetown where there are local facilities and amenities, plus driving to many nice places on the moors, but roads are narrow and can take some time to get places, being in the heart of Dartmoor.

WOW!! - Foxgloves Retreat is a truly magical place. As a family of 3, we have just returned from an Easter break and it was simply unbeatable. We were so well looked after from the minute we booked and arrived. Stella and Trevor were incredibly friendly, helpful and went the extra mile to ensure our stay was fantastic. The house is absolutely stunning, beautifully designed, exceptionally well maintained and cosy too. Views over the parkland were really special - the colours, the local community enjoying themselves, lots of very happy waggly tails and birdsong. The garden is magnificent - the well manicured plants, colours and wildlife were captivating. Loved the escapism it offered, so private and extensive - great for exploring & hide and seek! The hot tub is huge, the views out were mesmerising and the sauna was a real treat after a busy day spent walking the beautiful and easily accessible coast path. Cannot wait to return in August. Thank you so much for letting us stay!
