Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Golden Plains Shire

Thank you Lauren & Dean for letting me stay at your beautifully renovated apartment. The heater was efficient and l stayed toasty warm. It was great to have a full kitchen be able to self cater after a couple of busy days . They had an Aldi pod coffee machine & good supply of pods . The bed was super comfortable. I hope the apartment will be available for my next visit to Ballarat.

Lovely quaint cottage for a restful getaway. We particularly enjoyed a soak in the spa with some wine after a long walk. Very comfy bed and thoughtful touches.

Alastair and Glen are wonderful hosts and their property is perfect in every way. It is very well equiped with everything you need and all the spaces are comfortable and beautifully decorated. The beds are super comfy and the bathrooms are lovely with wonderful showers. The house is very central so you to walk to lovely restaurants and bars. I am a regular to Ballarat and this is a fabulous AirBNB and we can’t wait to stay again.

Absolutely beautiful location away from the hustle and bustle of the cities yet driveable to the local town which has all the amenities. My second at this AirBnB as I love it. My daughter loved the pet dog Bonnie and the chickens. We definitely return again!

I came as a solo, which can often be a little daunting, but the cabin was the perfect size, the perfect feel, and the perfect calm for me. I had the fire going both nights and lying in the bath, with a glass of red, reading my book to sound of the crackling fire in the other room was pretty heavenly. The furnishings were beautiful and homely as a whole (I’m all about the pretty and cosy), and the sofa… perfect for one to stretch out on, again with said book and glass of wine. The bed was extremely comfortable to the point I actually did not want to get out of it. This is a lovely little place, and whilst I did venture out early one afternoon to Daylesford (45 mins away), i soon returned as I realised I’d rather hang at the cabin and surrounds. I sat at the top of the hill on my last night, with a tea and my book, and watched the sun go down, and whilst there was always some noise from the roads, I quite frankly didn’t want to be anywhere else. It was the calm needed. I will be back!

We had such a fantastic stay at t’ Boshuus. It was the ideal location for a family long weekend getaway. The house is so comfortable, homely and well equipped with everything you need. The surrounds and wildlife are beautiful, and there is a great outdoor space to enjoy it all. It was so nice being so close to the state forest for walks and bike rides. The kids loved finding skinks and seeing chickens lay eggs for the first time. Janneke is a fantastic host, very proactive with ensuring we were well informed for a fantastic stay. Many thanks!

Geoff’s place is awesome! It was the perfect stay for our small family who were looking for some peace and quiet in the countryside. We loved hanging by the fireplace at night and spotting all the kangaroos first thing in the morning. Geoff was a great host too, you can tell how much time he has poured into the place. Lastly, our dog absolutely loved exploring and sniffing the space. Couldn’t have asked for more, will definitely be back :)

We love Janine's unique loft house and 2nd time round it was just as great as the first stay. Janine's is the best 'stocked' of any Air BnB we've stayed, the kitchen, pantry, bathroom, bedding, board games & extra special touches are brilliant, you only need to bring yourselves!!!
