Te Whare o Kea is a non profit social enterprise and supports Kea and kiwi Conservation. It provides simple shelter for trampers, bikers and other nature lovers. Spectacular sunrises and night skies also help make it the perfect location x Since opening in October 2020, Te Whare o Kea has donated over $18,000 to the Kea Conservation Trust, supported local kea conservation, set up a 17 trap trapline and monitored a trail camera, discovering kiwi are close by too.
