Waterfront vacation rentals in Gloucester County

We had an excellent stay at the Fish House- right on the water with beautiful views and peaceful morning cups of coffee on the deck. Michelle was very responsive and provided great recommendations on everything from restaurants to kayaking spots. While the marina is a working business we did not find that it negatively impacted our stay and in fact it enhanced it since the employees there were very kind and courteous. We can't say enough about Michelle's hospitality- she has a true gift! We wanted to have direct access to abundant kayaking and this was for sure the spot to be. While we paddled the creek/inlet area we also found the Oyster Point paddling trail (just a few minutes down the road) to be a great excursion. We will be planning to return!

Everything worked like clockwork. Lovely area. Cozy accommodations. Clean, modern, tidy and comfortable. Host very responsive and the price was just right. Would certainly stay there again.

We were sad when it was time to come home, we didn’t want to leave! Our home away from home was immaculate. Instructions for parking and entrances were detailed and very easy to figure out. John responded to all texts promptly. Everything we needed was there. The landscaping, the gardens, the seating areas outside were absolutely gorgeous! There was even a mama bird nesting with her baby in the flowers outside. And the backyard is the beach! It was a perfect place for relaxation and enjoying the outdoors. John even provided seven days of perfect weather! ☀️ Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Anne's place was just spectacular! Perfect for 2 couples as our home-base to explore Williamsburg, Yorktown and Jamestown. The high end furnishings are beautiful. The patio, yard and lake view were wonderful. We enjoyed the theater room each night. Thank you for a great vacation.

Wow! What a fabulous loft! Karin paid attention to every detail. The loft was well-stocked and had everything you need! Most impressive were the immaculate nature of the space and the VIEWS! The balcony was the best place for a morning cup of coffee...secluded, private, peaceful, and beautiful! This loft is brand new and so clean! Karin also allowed me to check out late and was an excellent communicator! Check in was easy and her directions were clear! Thanks for an amazing stay, Karin. I'll be booking next year, same time!

Would definitely recommend to anybody looking for a quiet peaceful place. Home was small and comfortable with everything you will need. The bed was so comfortable I didn’t want to move once I laid down lol. The patio and grill were perfect for enjoying warm evening outdoors and the beach was never crowded which is one thing I enjoyed the most.

Amy and Andy are excellent hosts! I had so much fun. I was just a little disappointed in the wi-fi/internet connection but Andy is doing his best to correct it. This is my second time staying here and I will be coming back! I highly recommend it!

This beautiful home is truly a gem! We mostly enjoyed the screened in porch with comfy furniture, ceiling fans, and a fantastic view. The quiet, peacefulness was a great escape. This is the second time I've stayed at Tamara's place and I would absolutely stay again. The place is exactly what you expect and they have excellent instructions. Wonderful people, peaceful location, and you always know what to expect.

The location was tucked away in a quiet neighborhood overlooking the York River. The house was exceptionally clean and they had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. The Bluetooth speaker was a nice bonus for listening to music while overlooking the river from the sitting room. We had a minor issue with the plumbing, but they quickly reacted and it did not interfere with our trip. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would gladly book again in this same location.

Our crew stayed here for work and had no complaints! They loved the area and loved the hosts!! They all said it was supper clean and would stay again!!

We had the most amazing weekend staying at this cozy cottage for my son’s birthday getaway. From the moment we arrived, everything was absolutely perfect. The space was clean, beautifully decorated, and had such a peaceful, welcoming vibe. It truly felt like peace from the moment we stepped out of the car. The cottage had everything we needed. It made settling in so easy and stress-free, especially with little one in tow. The hosts were beyond incredible. Their warmth, hospitality, and attention to detail made our stay unforgettable. They even went out of their way to help make my son’s birthday feel extra special by letting us do cake with family in their backyard, which meant the world to us. This trip was full of sweet memories, and a huge part of that was thanks to this beautiful cottage and its amazing hosts. We had an amazing stay at Camp Rappahannock to celebrate our mother’s 90th birthday and a family thanksgiving. The house is thoughtfully outfitted and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook our feast. The location was just perfect, beautiful setting and so relaxing. We hope to visit again!

So glad we found this gem of a location and grateful to our hosts for sharing it with us! Was the perfect quiet weekend getaway for the two families that stayed, and plenty for our tweens and teens to do. We enjoyed fishing and crabbing from the dock and appreciate the generosity of the hosts allowing us to use the SUP, kayak, etc. Laura was very helpful in all communications, before and during our stay. Would definitely stay again!

This waterfront home has gorgeous views. The location is very private and peaceful. Our family really enjoyed fishing from the dock, playing yard games (we brought our own), and just relaxing. Our two-night stay was the perfect amount of time for us to recharge. I would rent the house again.

What an amazing stay! I've never been satisfied with an Airbnb, the photos always are so much nicer than the reality - but Big Blue was actually even better than advertised! Merlyn's communication prior to arrival made things very easy. Accessing the unit was simple, and I felt safe with the self-locking doors. The unit was clean and so comfortable, with many personal touches - I instantly felt at home. I was overjoyed when I arrived and toured the unit. Really exceeded my expectations which was such a different feeling than all the other Airbnb I've rented over the years. The beach access was tidy and pretty, the gym and beach gear a nice touch, and the foot wash station was appreciated after my morning walks with the dog. I really can't say enough great things about my stay here. Hosts were friendly and helpful every step of the way. We mostly spent our time traveling around the area from VA Beach to OBX so I can't speak much about Norfolk/Ocean View. I would def rent Big Blue again.

Wow. What a stunning place with high ceilings, beautiful decor, lots of windows, a great roof deck, and a fabulous location in the center of the historic business district.

The villa was the perfect place for our family to stay for graduation weekend at William and Mary. Plenty of space and very comfortable. Setting was lovely and great for walks in our down time. The only issue we had was the villa was not ready at the designated check in time and we had to wait an hour before we could get in.

We’ve stayed here several times when visiting the park. Extremely close, quiet, and secure. We greatly recommend for anyone wanting the same!

That is a fantastic place to live, and the view is really good! Everybody wants to see the James river once you wake up😌 The host is really nice and easy to communicate. I would highly recommend the people who want to have a great vacation at Williamsburg to live here!

This place was wonderful, we stayed with our family of 5 and it was local to so many great things and we could walk to the playground from our place. The living spaces were very spacious and two full bathrooms came in very handy.

The condo was very clean with all necessary essentials. We loved sitting on the porch watching the wildlife, especially the numerous ospreys. It is centrally located, only a short drive to historic Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown. Plan for about a day at each to fully enjoy everything. The grounds of the resort are lovely and a great place to walk or ride bikes. Rodica was very easy to communicate with and was most helpful with all checking instructions, especially with our late arrival. We would definitely like to return.
