Situated on a hectare block with a relaxing rural outlook our house is walking distance (1500m) to Wainui Beach and a short (5 min) drive to Gisborne city. The perfect location! Enjoy the quiet country feel, close to town. Listen to and watch all the native birds, swim in the pool, take a walk in our lovely area, or simply relax in the spacious cottage with a drink. Inside, go up the spiral stairs to the cozy mezzanine bedroom (please note that it's low up there). The unique stairs are from the old star observatory on Titirangi (the local maunga/mountain)! The sofa bed in the lounge can sleep 2. There is a new kitchenette, shower, vanity and toilet.

Pōhatu, meaning stone in Maori, is a beautiful 1925 Arts & Crafts house built by one of regions wealthiest landowners. Lovingly restored in 2020, the guest room is self contained and absorbs the morning sun. Pohatu is located beside the Waimata River, on a 3000m2 section surrounded by mature trees and gardens which afford privacy for sitting outside with your favourite beverage. The property is a short walk to the beach, shops, bars and restaurants.

Friendly Host,We apprciated the bread & milk.Fully equipped kitchen,awesome shower,comfy couches. Hot tub was a bonus.Owners do live above so naturally there's noise ,but didn't bother us.Our only problem we had was that the bed was to firm for our liking but other than that great stay.

Amy's place was amazing value for money. She's a great host and was very quick to respond to the booking request and messages. The place is comfortable, tidy and well thought out with extra value having a TV in every room. I'd recommend this place to anyone travelling through Gisborne because of it's value and proximity to the beach and township.

We stayed at Pamela's home for a month in April/May. The home was conveniently located for everything we did in Gisborne and was very clean and spacious!! Amanda was helpful with any inquiries we had and graciously provided fresh linens weekly. It was nice to have a tub and large bathroom (no electric outlets took some getting used to for us but learned that is common for safety reasons). Would stay again! Thank you!

Beautiful stay, home away from home. I stayed in Gisborne to run a weekend workshop and Leanne’s room was everything that was described plus more. The little touches like a nice little bottle of wine to unwind for the night after a big day was appreciated, & to wake up to that amazing view of the river. I highly recommend. I’ve stayed in a few bnb’s and I’d have to say Leanne’s place is top of the list. I’ve already booked in for another weekend.
