Vacation rentals with lake access in Gilpin County

My friends were visiting Colorado and wanted to spend the weekend in nature, Stillwater was the perfect spot to unwind. The house comfortably fit eight adults, with plenty of space to relax. The kitchen was impressively well-stocked, the beds were super comfortable, and the home itself was solidly built, everything felt high quality and thoughtfully designed. It’s just a 15-minute drive to restaurants and casinos, but honestly, we barely wanted to leave. The weekend we stayed, it snowed, and waking up to the most picturesque view—snow-capped trees and a frozen lake—was absolutely magical. The host was also flexible with checkin and checkout which was much appreciated.

This was a perfect mountain retreat! 45 minutes from Denver and 15 min from Blackhawk but it felt like you were a world away from the city. The home was huge, and perfectly accommodated 5. Everything was pristine and we loved the decor. I would highly recommend for a weekend retreat from the city. We saw moose and two mountain lions coming up the mountain which was really cool to see from a distance :).

Wonderful place to stay!!!! Amazing fews, good water, clean bathroom and house, and very well kept!! Definitely a good recommendation as long as you don’t mind driving.

My family of 4 spent spring break from Texas here & what a beautiful experience! It snowed a lot during our stay, so the views were breathtaking. The home was decorated to perfection with cozy beds, towels, nice appliances & plenty of cooking supplies for nice meals up on the mountain with my kids. Smart TVs in every room, shovels for the snow with salt, snacks & refreshments.. these hosts really thought of everything. We can’t wait to come back!!

Beautiful cabin! The space matches the pictures and description. We had a group of 8 celebrate new years and it was the perfect cozy cabin getaway! Chris communicated that the roads might be snowy on our drive up but our 4WD vehicle managed just fine. There were shovels available for us to clear snow out of the driveway. The cabin was very cold upon arrival but the pellet stove was easy to start up and they had plenty of blankets to use. The hangout space was very large, kitchen stocked with all of the essentials, and TV worked well! Beautiful view with trees covered in snow. Definitely would stay here again!

Beautiful home in a gorgeous location! Hosts were very responsive and provided clear directions. Very clean and organized. I am looking forward to staying at this location again!

We had a great experience. Winter park was very responsive and helpful. We let them know of an issue and there was a quick response and resolution to the problem. We will definitely look to stay with Winter Park again in the future.

Wonderful Airbnb! The space was cozy and we felt very comfortable. The neighborhood was peaceful and had extensive walking trails right outside the door. Kendal was a great host!

We enjoyed our stay at the "Blue Bear". The condo was warm and clean, the kitchen well stocked and the beds comfortable. The views as we traveled up the 20 minute mountain road to the condo were beautiful. We enjoyed exploring Idaho Springs, touring the Argo Gold Mine, visiting the cute shops, and eating at Beau Jo's, Clear Creek Cidery, and the Banana Leaf (so delicious). Of course, the biggest highlight was skiing at Loveland (and also Granby Ranch)!

Keith's place by far exceeded our expectations and was absolutely perfect for us. It was very clean, the spaces were great, and the host was very helpful. I'll definitely book this place again if we decide to come back to Colorado for skiing - the locations was not to beat! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!!!
